Hi Poe theme users,
I would like to style the overlay-menu that appears on mobile devices (when you klick the “burger menu”). The main menu item should look different from the submenu items. Right now, if I use styling on the navigation text for instance all the menu items are affected.
How do I go about this in this block theme? Additional CSS I guess
Thanks for your help…
Hi! I′m building a new site based on Poe, which is excellent. Block themes are new to me but I′m getting there. I have an issue with the header of the site. It works well on iPhone/Safare (and Firefox Focus) but on Android devices the menu block is displayed almost outside of the screen. Users have to swipe right to see it. I can not fix this with various alignment settings, so if possible I′d like a hint in the right direction.
if chosen that the alignment is center but it doesnt work.

Dienstleistungen in Solothurn und der Umgebung

the code has it in but it always aligns left.
Hi! After a few months of using the template (which is really great, thanks!), I want to change the web logo, but I can’t figure out how to do it.
It’s quite strange because in the header template, I can see the logo and can change it within the “site name” block, but I can’t find any menu or option to change the “site logo” image block.
I’m sure it’s probably something I’m overlooking, or maybe a plugin is causing issues, but it seems impossible, haha :S Could anyone help? Thanks in advance!
I’m having an issue on a Poe site, especially when using query loops in columns but also on post pages where there are long links that are over a line.
I believe the issue is that the css is avoiding hyphenation, and that’s causing overflow into other elements.
In the example above, we have a query loop set up with two columns. The text is imported as an old classic block / old wordpress editor. However converting it into blocks didn’t fix the issue.
To a lesser extent, the same issue is happening on post and pages:
(Please excuse the content of these pages, these students are taking a class on misinformation, and they are pulling examples of misinformation from the internet)
Hi Anders,
first of all, thank you for this beautiful theme.
I have built a page where something strange occurs: When I use the list-block on a page, padding is added to the submenu – and it also looks like there is extra padding around the whole page. On pages without list-block there is no submenu-padding.
I have no idea how to get rid of this issue.

Hey, I’ve gone for white version of the design but for some reason my other language variant is in default black version and I can’t figure out how to change it?
Hello Poe-Lovers out there,
I am using a dropdown menu in the header section that is placed within a Cover block. In the Main Section below, there is yet another Cover block.
Now when I use the menu-dropdown situated in the header, it gets hidden by that color overlay of the Main Section Cover Block. When I take a closer look (webdeveloper tools of chrome) The Z-Index of the class “.wp-block-cover__inner-container” is the culprit. It is set to 1. And since it is rendered earlier it covers up the dropdown (at least thats what I am thinking). When I try out a z-index of 4, it is no longer covered.
This is unfortunate. Why isn`t it so that the header stays on top no matter what?
Hello,
Great theme thank you! I am currently testing it out and have not figured out how to get the filter working on the homepage? Is there a link to some doc maybe? I could not find one. Thanks
Hi,
I am having trouble with the footer-Margin. I want to get rid of it.
margin-block-start is set on that template part apparently. Block-end has a margin of 0. Where do I overwrite this? Thanks in advance for any hint by other Poe users …
Hi Anders,
What is the process of adding a favicon to my Poe Theme? Can it be done with a plugin only? (preferably SVG- Format)
Hi Anders!
First of all, thanks for your wonderful work! Very appealing in the graphic aspect ??
Im working on a website. Im trying to make a web that works as a portfolio of works, and also as a profesional blog.
My cuestion: How should I organize the different entries so that it could be separated between a blog post and a job post?
I use categories and tags, but when browsing with the next and previous buttons, I find a chaotic navigation that moves through the entries chronologically.
I’ve tried putting the works in “pages” but the category functionality doesn’t show up and I’d rather not have to introduce a plugin for it.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you very much and greetings!
Where is

getting it’s inline padding from? I seem unable to adjust that with custom css and it seems to vary per page.
Front Page has 32px top margin while Page has 64px top(and bottom) padding.
Hi Anders,
Thank you very much for your work. I really appreciate it.
I would like to know how to display the category description only on the first page of the pagination. I want to prevent duplicate content.
Cheers!
Hello, I meet a problem I cannot explain. I’ve created several shortcodes to insert content in single content and, if text through shortcodes shows at the good place, an image shows… before the title, whatever I place the shortcode.
// shortcode pour fse-alternative
function shortcode_fsealternative(){
global $post ;
$alternativeimage = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'alternative_image', true);
if (!empty($alternativeimage)) {
$urlcmm='https://xxx/blog/wp-content/uploads/alternative/'.$alternativeimage;
}
else {
$urlcmm='https:/xxx/blog/wp-content/uploads/images-site/click-x-640.png';
if ( !is_single() ) {
$urlcmm='https://xxx/blog/wp-content/uploads/images-site/click-x-home.png';}
}
echo '

';
}
add_shortcode('fsealternative', 'shortcode_fsealternative');

Hi Anders,
Where exactly did you get those amazing graphics (the ones under the features section of the homepage above Clean design, full site editing, etc? I would love to get a few more from this series.
So I’ve tried to update my homepage and having major issues. I followed the instructions on the previous support on this same issue.
Do i have to use the wordpress editor to change my homepage, or can I keep it as the way I had it set up?
I tried added a content block to the front-page theme but it didn’t add my content the way I wanted to. Is there a way around this?
Hello
After 3.0 update, the homepage is fixed on a default template and the theme overrides any change.
I tried changing homepage (e.g. to the shop page) via the customizer and in Settings/Reading but neither worked.
The funniest thing is that when you try editing the homepage, the editor shows the content of the chosen page and not that showing in thew frontend: if you set the Shop as Homepage, in the frontend you see the default content and in the editor you have the actual shop page content.
When I check in the FSE for page templates, there is a FrontPage template, but if I try to assign it to my page it does not show in the editor’s page template choices.
What did I miss?
The news page is not picking up the Index template on the latest version of WP.
In order to replicate the news page – https://andersnoren.se/themes/poe/news/
I have
1). Created a new page called ‘news’
2). Selected this news page in settings > reading > posts page
But the page displays the homepage
The category theme page displays fine.
I’ve had three wordpress freelancers attempt this.
Hello
I suppose I have found a conflict with Woocommerce:
Products in sub-categories cannot be found.
This should be a problem between Woocommerce and Poe, because I tried switching to TwentyTwenty and the products show up.
The website is just a stage, and I am finding my way around full site editing, I really like Poe and hope we can find a solution to this glitch as soon.
Anyone with the same problem out there?
Is there a way to add a custom font to the Poe theme? I wanted to use the Albert Sans font on Poe, but I don’t know if this is possible on a block theme.
Hey Anders! I absolutely love the theme, is it compatible with WPML as I’d need bilingual site?
Hi Anders,
I am using your theme and love the fastness and the simplicity of changing styles to my liking! The only trouble I have is with the header and footer margins. I would rather have no top or bottom margins. For some reason I cannot get it to work.
right now apparently there is a general rule for group blocks so that they are equipped with a top and bottom margin. var(–wp–custom–spacing–outer) I would rather use 0 (preferrably only for the header and footer sections.)
The editor will not let me do it. did I miss out on something?
I tried this in the browser developper tools and that worked. this seems to be the style where I need to go….
.wp-block-group?{
margin-top: 0;
margin-bottom: 0;
}
Hi Andres,
how can I customize that every picture in my blog https://marcobutz.de/ has round corners? Cannot find the customization.
Thnx in advance.

I’ve noticed a paragraph issue with Gutenberg 14.0. I can’t work out if it’s the plugin or theme that’s at fault?
When I add a new paragraph, it just inserts a line break. This doesn’t happen when I used the Twenty Twenty-One theme – a new paragraph works as intended.
Deactivating Gutenberg fixes the issue with Poe.
Dear Anders,
what an amazing new Theme poe is. I have only one question: How do I get a sticky header like in Chaplin. That was very responsive that time.
Yours
Ivo
I was experimenting and using the Cover-Block with the fixed background to have a parallax effect which resulted in the picture being sized to (probably) the full site-width (1920px) no matter what dimensions I defined for the container element. Especially on mobile it seems useless to me.
Btw, does it make sense to create a child theme of POE in order to include a different font?
Hi,
This is such a beautiful theme! The only issue I’m having is creating a blog posts page (like the ‘news’ page on the demo). How do I create a posts page – I’m sure it’s something very simple I’m just not understanding!
Thanks ??
Hi, your theme is great and easy to use. However, if I put an Image in the Header/ or image on top of the website byitself, it does not change in size according to the mobile devices. I intended to put the Logo in the center (big size) for the desktop website, however when the website is opened on a mobile, the screen shows the same large size logo which creates a big blank gap on the right side of the website as the logo occupies the large space.
Is there a way to make the images responsive on all devices?
Hi Anders,
Thank you for this beautiful theme. I really love this. Do you happen to have any plan to open sourcing its Figma design file inline with this initiative? https://make.www.ads-software.com/design/2022/07/01/open-sourcing-theme-designs/
It would be awesome if you do.
Cheers. ??
