I’m really sorry if this has been answered but I am really new to this and I’m at my wit’s end!
I want a static home page with 5 polaroids on, that you can then click and are taken to the page. I want 2 of these polaroids to be static pages, and the other 3 to be pages that have my latest posts on…i.e I have page 1(static), page 2(posts), page 3(posts), page 4(posts) and then page 5(static). The main problems I am having are:
1.) I can’t get the polaroids on a static home page. I have put links to the pages, but can’t get the actual polaroid images.
2.)I can’t work out how to get posts on more than one page.
3.) At the bottom, there is a menu which says ‘pages, categories, archives, links, info’ etc. I can’t find where to add the links for the links option.
Any help would be so greatly appreciated!

I love the Polaroids theme! But I am having several issues with the menu and editing certain things. I just feel like this them is so simple (which is great!) but lacking in customization. I’ve tried the two files you suggested in other threads. The suggested theme “polaroid-child” was made and downloaded. However, the menu list took away everything except the “categories” and “pages” menus. I’m not given the option to add other menus. I could use some help on this.

I changed the title Page to About in Footer. Now if you click About, a list menu will appear for About again. I want to click once on my About and go directly to my About page, which I’ve made separately.

When I try this I just get this message -The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme Install Failed-

I would like to display different images on home page based on post category. E.g. if Post category is ABC, Image1.Jpg should be displayed, if Post Category is XYZ, Image2.Jpg should be displayed.
I think I need to modify index.php for the same using get_category() function but not sure how to do that.

Currently on my main page I’ve got 8 polaroid posts. There is 5 in the top row and 3 in the bottom. I’m wondering how to go about making it 4 in each row. Thank you!

I have an issue with the navigation menu after I’ve created a child theme for the style.css.
The navigation menu subpages/items is expanded per default and it doesnt reflect my own menu created via App – Menus.
Example how the menu looks like:
Pages
Contact
About
Categories
People
Portraits
…
If I go back to the original Polariods theme the subpages/items are no longer expanded however it still doesn’t reflect the menus I created via App – Menus.
I’ve deactivated all plugins. Re-installed Polaroids theme and my child theme.
My child theme style.css looks like this.

I love this theme. however, have a question.
When adding posts I noticed that some of the polaroid images have dates and some do not. The ones that have dates are also higher on than page than the others.

I use it for a photography blog.
I downloaded “NextGEN Gallery” and “NextGEN Gallery Optimizer” plugins to show photos in my articles.
Now I noticed there’s a conflict between the Polaroids theme and the Optimizer plugin.
When I flag the option “Use Fancybox lightbox effect” in the Optimizer plugin, the Footer Menu of the template stops working (it is always “expanded”).
I know the Optimizer plugins makes a wide use of jQuery but I don’t know how to make the theme and the plugin work togheter.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
