I’m experimenting the widget “galleries list” with a buddypress site & portfolio press theme and find out that the list is not shown when the user is not logged (the list is show when connected) only on a large screen view. If i look on my mobile , the list is shown even not logged.
have you a solution to this issue ?

I have the following website https://myriadinspiration.fr/ with portfolio theme. The last SEO audit revealed that on all my pages, there are 2 H1 :
– an H1 that is correctly unique for each page, visible to each visitor
– an H1 not visible on the page but visible in the source code named “MENU”

Ex on this page with https://myriadinspiration.fr/cercle-de-femmes/ :
– H1 = Menu (to delete)
– H1 = Cercles de Femme

I have to delete this duplication…

Any idea ? Thanks a lot for your help ?

Hi!
After update to version 2.8.0 the menu no longer works on all mobiles. The menu seems to work on iPhones newer than iPhone 7 if turned sideways to landscape view. But for those with older cell phones a tilt makes no difference.

People with older cell phones can see the word “Meny” and the three stripes next to it, but nothing happens when one tries to click on them. This is a new problem, we’ve never before had any complaints about the site not working on cell phones, so it seems to be linked to this particular update.

The website has two menues: a public menu and a logged-in menu, and the cell phone issue is the same wether one is logged in or not.

Any help with this would be much appreciated!

i have several slide shows on my site. i’m trying to make a new one and cannot get it to work. i’ve checked as many things as i can think of, comparing the new portfolio to the old ones. i have watched Devin’s video five or six times. There are discrepancies between the video and my reality

any help would be appreciated

The images on my Home and Stories pages stopped appearing. Everything was working for a few months, then all of a sudden, getting nothing. I reviewed all the files, images are in the Media Library, settings seem OK.

Great theme!
As instructed in video a created a page called “Blog”, in dashboard under “settingd->reading”I have selected this page as posts page.

However when opening page on frontend I see the My blog posts plus images from the gallery..

I need to only show blog posts (not image type) on the blog page, is this possible?
Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

Current titles which I have are: “Brzuszki”, “Noworodki”, “Maluchy” etc. – they are black, I would like to change their colour to #ddcece (to match the header color) or a bit darker.

I have created a new wordpress blog with Portfolio Press Théme, without problem.
But, a friend of mine, on his Mac, can’t see galleries correctly with Safari.
The gallery is truncated et comes over the header.
No problem with Firefox on Mac.
No problem with Safari on iPhone or iPad.

A solution ?

My versions :
– WordPress 5.1
– Portfolio Press 2.8 with child theme

On the live demo of the theme, it shows that it’s possible to have subsections in the menu in which only certain types of posts are shown, separated by categories. How do I go about setting this up on my own website?

I was working of my website…was trying to add small picture os one of my art pieces alongside my name on my home page…ended up with a large picture…and can’t remove it…..need your help

I had the problem mentioned here and here where images on home page are replaced by a search box and the error “Nothing Found. It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help” though my site had previously been fine, something triggered it.

Had some issues with site being hacked(taken care of), and afterwards portfolio press seems to have stopped working. This url now drops an error: https://purplepigeonpress.com/portfolio/intaglio-with-latex

Desperately trying to remove the header and menu on one specific ‘Portfolio Press’ page?

Can anyone help?

In the above page, I just want oil paintings. Is there a way to create separate “full-width portfolio” pages, say one with only oil paintings and one with watercolors?

I’m going to be using Portfolio+ for my art portfolio. Right now, I’m just testing out the free version to see how it works. The video was great for a lot of information, but I’m really confused about creating a gallery.

I assume when I pick “gallery” as the type that is one of the boxes that will display on the home page.

Do I then just upload images and insert them on the page or would I use the Gallery feature to group them on the page?

Also, why would I just pick image as the type?

Once I know what I’m doing, then I’ll up grade to Portfolio+

I’ve seen that there is some update for the theme, unfortunatly i’ve changed the code a bit a long time ago for my use. I just wanted to update it using github, but the git don’t seems to be updated as well.

i’ve tried child Theme when i was making my changes but don’t remember why exactly but i’ve stopped using it.

So right now i’m with v 2.3 with my personnal changes and don’t known how to get the lastest updates without undo mines.

The mentioned page links to my graphic design category. The thumbs are loaded and my projects are shown. But I would like to write a short introduction above the images. How coud I do this?

Or should I better make regular page regular content which under the content displays posts of a specific category?

I can’t figure out how to do either of these.

I have 2 issues with theme running on mobile: (1) The sidebar moves from right side to bottom of page and (2) the Menu at top only displays a Menu button instead of the actual menu items.

Can someone help with suggestions to fix for proper viewing on mobile platform.

I’m setting up an art gallery with Portfoliopress. I’ve only been working with it for one day, so there are no doubt so many features I’m not familiar with and this is probably one of them.

Is it possible to set up sub-galleries? I have in mind four. Then, is it possible to set an image on the home page that serves as a visual link to that sub-gallery?

In other words, a visitor to the site sees four images, each a thumbnail that represents the galleries Action, Glamour, Slice-of-Life, and Other. By clicking on the image, he goes to that gallery and views the actual pictures.

Hello everyone. Recently my blog started showing some blank spots for no reason. The previous pages do not show these blank spots. Can someone please help me solve this issue.

I would like to use different header images (logos according to the theme) on different parts of the site. If it can be keyed to different categories that would be best. I’m guessing that I can modify the header.php file to do this, but I have no idea how to do this. Has anyone else done this? Or can anyone suggest a solution?

I just downloaded your theme and like it a lot but can’t see the menu pages on the iphone. I had to download a plugin but then discovered they are clickable under my header. So basically they are invisible but there.
Is this a CSS edit.

I have downloaded Portfolio Press, as will be ideal for a site I am developing. I have set up the front page to be the PortPress page – set to full width template, Created 6 posts, each with images in them, set the post type to gallery, and regenerated thumbnails, and I still get no actual thumbnails on the page, just six grey images with the mountains in them.

Any ideas what else I can try?
