I run two sites with the theme Quest, and I really like this easy and slim theme. Never realized so far that there were never any updates to it since 2016.

Now, after updating WP to 5.2.2. I had some weird bugs: pages were impossible to save or publish, or a page would disappear (not to the basket, but really to nirvana) when another one was published. The Classic Editor Plugin didn’t really solve the problem, but it helped. Bugs aren’t consistent, sometimes it works, sometimes not. I backup everytime before I touch anything and I treat the site like a raw egg.

Now: anybody else has experiences with the Quest theme and WP5? Please post!

The Quest thema don’t have any update like 1,5 year. It’s sound that autor don’t wont develops any more this thema? ?? It’s one of the best thema in wp. I hope that author will come back to this project. It will be pleasure to change on pro version and support this project.

Could someone send me the plugin Revolution Slider (revslider.zip) which is recommended by the Quest theme? Or someone knows another site address I could download it?
I’m trying to download from the original author website (https://pacethemes.com/wp-content/uploads/revslider.zip), but the website doesn’t respond. I’ve been trying for more than two weeks.
It looks like the site doesn’t exist more.
Does someone have the Quest author e-mail?

I bought the Quest Plus this year (2 or 3 months ago) after using the free version for two years, but I didn’t realize the last plugin update date also the user support before buying. I saw here a lot of topics with no response from the developer! :/

I have just installed the theme (quest-plus.1.5.4) on a server (WordPress 4.9.6), and I have a lot of problems, as:
– This theme recommends the following plugin: Revolution Slider. But the source is offline (https://pacethemes.com/wp-content/uploads/revslider.zip) and it’s impossible to download and to install.
– Site builder is not working.
– Layout manager does not show the samples.
– Slider settings are not working.
– There are so many errors about a lot of files missing that are accessed online in the external source (offline).

Was the Quest theme discontinued? :/

Please can anyone tell me how to either edit or delete the green banner at the top of Quest theme – I am also using Page Builder but I think this banner is from the Quest theme. Thanks

I’m running the most up to date version of Quest and WordPress and have Woocommerce installed. The Woocommerce shop page displays the post sidebar and I’d like to remove it and have full-width page instead. Can this be done in a way that does NOT remove the sidebar on ALL pages?

I love the quest theme and I use it for more than one site, but recently, the customizer stopped working. I can only access the widgets option in the customizer, and even clicking on that doesn’t show anything. I heard that some themes stopped working after the 4.7 update. Could it be the same problem for this theme?

Hi, I am unable to edit the home page slider. The site builder does not appear to be working properly. Latest wordpress version and using Quest theme version 4.9.2
Also after updating theme, the logo was appearing double in the header, one below the other. I removed the logo for now.

I already asked this quesiton on the Pace forum. Even though I have a paid version, I have not had a proper answer. My question was closed due to inactivity… yes inactivity on Pace themes side!
Anyway, I’m not giving up. I have set up the Portfolio. But.. as my client does not have a large portfolio and only wants the picture circles and the roll over, but no link. How can I remove the link from the portfolio?

Hi I have an issue I hope you can help.
I want to use the same colour for my main menu bar background and also the main links. For this reason, when I’m in a page, the active link for the current menu item, is showing as the same colour as the background. I need the header background colour to be the same as the links throughout. What I wanted to do was target the font for that nav menu specifically and tell it to display as white, or, better, just leave it as it is, and ask for a white background for the active menu.

I’ve tried adding css in various formats in the theme itself, under custom css. Also in my child theme. I must have the code wrong as it’s not working.

I’ve deleted cache. I’m using !important…. can you help?

Hello, how can I set up this theme like the demo? I found an .xml file, but it was not complete and does not work. If I could just get the instructions on how to set up the page like it looks, that would be great. Or if you could post the complete .xml file, that would help also.

Hello, The file at “https://pacethemes.com/wp-content/uploads/quest.wordpress.2015-10-14.xml.” is broken and does not download completely. Is there an updated demo content file? The error message is “This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number”.

When I set the header to be left (version 2) I cannot change the colours of the site title or social media icons. The site title colour is the same as “heading colour h1-h6”.
As soon as I change header to top it works OK.

I have installed Quest on my web site a year ago. I realize the header is appearing very small, although the original image is bigger. I want to change and put the right size to my header under Quest, but I don’t find where to do that.

In WordPress Header usually appears under the Appearance menu, as is mentionned here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Administration_Screens

But on my admin screen under Quest, Header doesn’t appear there.

How do you place Header under Quest?

When I view the blog or category search page, hovering over the featured image causes a PLUS icon to display centred on the image and the image is also dimmed. Can those effects be disabled? My posts all feature a full-width image and I don’t want those images to be obscured in any way when scrolling up and down the page.

I am trying to change the color of one page on this site, https://rtrmoto.com/. I have tried multiple things I’ve found on the forums and nothing is working. The page I want to change is https://rtrmoto.com/technical/ (I believe page id is 1880, it reads https://rtrmoto.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1880&action=edit). I need a black background. The template for that page is a custom template so that there is no menu or anything else. There are several pages using the custom template but this is the only one he wants black. I’ve tried adding code in custom template editor, regular style editor, custom css editor.
Can someone please help.

I’d like to know how to set a different layout for the pages. I know there is a box somewhere to change it but I don’t remember where. I mean if the page have only one stage, or two spaces at the sides, or only one.

I’m working on a website for an organization in Sweden. I have set a background image but it doesn’t show. I know I need to set the background color to ‘transparent’ or ‘none’, and I’ve tried codes that I’ve found on this forum in the Custom CSS and also in the Style CSS. But nothing works! Someone please help me… ?? I’m currently running a theme test drive.

may be a common problem on multilingual sites using theme quest:

how can I display a different header logo (.side_branding.img) for each language, working with theme quest and qtranslate?
Figured out the header.php and functions.php files of the theme but did′nt get the right code for this, missing the hook for ′side-branding′
For a code example like this (suggested by qtranslate):

Should be possible, but were to place that and how to define the image source?

I have the Quest Theme and I want to put the menu in only one line. What I have to do?

I’ve seen other posts with the same problem but no answer. The images of the slide show on cell appear incorrectly (they are cut). How can you solve this compatibility issue? Do you have a recommended resolution? thank you

Hi,

I’m testing this theme that I find very interesting. Page Builder is very helpful but I can’t manage images loaded in a gallery module: when I select Edit, an empty window appears with the ‘x’ for exit and nothing else.
Both preloaded images and new ones do that.
I used Opera and Firefox browser.

This is a rather strange issue (ok, I am OCD, sue me). I have the sharing buttons at the bottom of each post/page. Come to think of it, this may be a jetpack issue? Anyway, just point me in the right direction…..

When I click the FB button (or Twitter or G+) to share an article that is on my website/blog, it shares an image of one of my sponsors. The same one, every time…..as it is an image on the footer of my website/blog. IF I share using the FB button, it does not allow me to delete or remove the image before posting.

The BIG BLUE banner is what I DO NOT want to show on each share

Line breaks do not happen when using the default editor or pace builder. what i see in the visual editor doesnt appear so in the published article. Everything becomes one big paragraph. I need paragraphs.Copying articles from word or typing them doesnt help. quick fix for now in using headings for the first word in a paragraph.

I have this template set up for a grid/box setting to show my latest posts on the front page. I set the Settings/Reading/Blog posts show at most to 14. NO matter what I do, I cannot get more than 7 to show??? How do I change how many can be shown? My left sidebar is twice as long and it does not look right……..help!

Page Builder stopped working. I cannot load it anymore. I turned off all plugins, with no results. (I don’t have a lot of plugins).
Please help. All other pages without the Page builder template are fine.

I’m using Quest on this website:

and I’m having trouble making the menu display properly on smaller screens. It seems to be permanently visible and over the main slider (Masterslider), I think this is a result of me attempting to make the logo image bigger and trying to centre it (which hasn’t worked). What I need it to do is not be visible on smaller screens and show the menu button which when pressed displays the menu clearly over the slider.

Any help much appreciated, thanks
