Just started to try to customize, but it is weird as it doesn’t open the proper template (images, blocks, widgets, design and all the features), it just open a plain post. Is there any other plugin that I sould install?

I did read the documentation and installed them custom home page settings, but i see nothing.

The documentation that you provide with free version does not tell how to set up the homepage as shown in demo; if it does not fetch automatically.
Do you have any detail help how to set up the homepage manually ?
