Since a week my images on my pages don’t show the description I added in the media library. You only see the image without any description and that’s the first time since 8 years. Now Google search did’t recognise my site by searching. Is there something new by the last upgrade of the Resonar Theme. Could somebody help me? For example:
Can’t find where to add a logo in Resonar theme. The sample page shows a logo. You usually can specify a logo somewhere on the theme customize tool, but I don’t see it. I made a custom CSS background image on .site-title a{} for now. But shouldn’t there be a place for setting a logo?

Hello!
I am a newer wordpress user and having issues with posts. We have a blog page for our organization. You can see the title and featured image on the list of posts, but when you go to that post’s page, the title doesn’t show. If I remove the featured image the title appears, but we’d like to have both.
I’ve tried changing the visible settings in the right column settings when editing the post, but there are no options other than public, private, or password protected. I’ve also checked to make sure it is a post and not a page.
Hi,
I’m working on a resonar’s child theme. I want show the last entry how “sticky post” in the home page.
At the moment there are 2 entry, the last one is marked how “sticky post” but it does not appear.
How can I show the sticky post in the home page?
Our church recently (last week) migrated a free wordpress site to a paid host (wphosting.com.au).
The original site runs the Resonar theme without problem and can be found here: https://eastcamberwellbaptistchurch.wordpress.com/
The new site does not show the featured images on the various pages, nor does it correctly display either the google map (on the “home” page) or the contact form (on the “contact” page).
We used the “export” and “import” facility to migrate the site (we tested this by replicating it to another free wordpress page where it worked without problem).
Any suggestions as to what we might do to resolve the issue would be greatly appreciated.
I am having a problem with my website (https://www.BruceMcKnightWrites.com) using the Resonar theme.
The top menu works great on tablets, but on phones, when the menu is clicked, all the options show up on the bottom of the page, after all the content. This means that in most cases, when someone clicks the menu, they don’t even see it because they don’t know that it’s appearing off-screen.
Any suggestions?
Hi there, the thumbnail in my homepage is not identical.
There are two first post with square thumbnails, the others are rectangles. When I use the old wordpress.com site. It’s all square.
Why? Please help me to repair it.
Thanks!

Hello,

How can I increase the size of the logo? Also is there a way to change the navigation menu background only (without affecting the part of the page with teh main text)/ Thank you!

Hello! Even though I have specified the image to be placed at its original size (1500 x 1512 pixels), the photo is not overhanging. Am I doing something wrong? I have no image-processing plugins, such as JetPack etc.

Hi there, I hope someone can help. My website looks fantastic on a laptop but on a mobile device the header image is cut off. Is there a way to fix this?
Hi there,
I am wanting to put my nav menu in a div container float:right. However i’m still at quite a beginner level with html/css and I’m not sure how to implement this into the stylesheet or even the additional CSS panel for it to take effect.
Could anyone please assist with a code that could help me achieve this?
Looking for a way to modify the “Continue reading” link on attacment pages. By default this link is added to the Caption, and (oddly?) links to the attachment page itself, the same page the reader is looking at.
It would make sense to me to have the link text added after the Description instead and link to the parent post, where the image is being used.
The template file for image attachments is image.php, and it seems to me that lines 50-54 are serving the caption, like so:
<?php if ( has_excerpt() ) : ?>

<?php the_excerpt(); ?>

<?php endif; ?>
But I can’t seem to figure out where the “Continue reading” text/link comes from or how to remove it, and add to the description. Would greatly appreciate advice, including links to articles that might help me better understand the underlying structures.
Hi there,
how can I change the Mouseover-Color of the Main Menu? Now its blue, but I want to change in dark green.
Also I would like to know how to center the entry title of a static page.
Thanks,

Hi,
The “Continue reading %s” translation string used in this theme and many others from Automattic is used like this:
/* translators: %s: Name of current post */
sprintf( __( 'Continue reading %s', 'resonar' ), '' . get_the_title( get_the_ID() ) . '' )
See https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/resonar/1.0.8/inc/template-tags.php#L209 and https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/resonar/1.0.8/content.php#L31
The result is that the post title, in place of %s, is actually hidden from view by the span’s screen-reader-text class. So the text is different in two scenarios: read by a person with vision or by a person without or with impaired vision, using a screen reader.
Now in Enlish, this is no problem since “Continue reading” either with or without some title after it, is a perfectly fine phrase. But when using, for example, the French translation, it becomes “Continuer la lecture de” for the visitor with vision. But that phrase NEEDS something following it, like a title or description.
This happened because to the translators, the comment derived from /* translators: %s: Name of current post */
is not clear that the “Name of current post” is actually not visible on the page. It is only ‘visible’ to screen readers.
I propose to fix this by either (1) adapting the translator comment or (2) not hiding the post title anymore or (3) removing the %s completely.
Adapting the comment, so leaving the post title there and still hidden, poses a new problem. In the same example, the French language, the translation could be made to fit the two scenarios (both for visible and screen reader) like “Continuer à lire” which works fine with or without a title following it. See https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-themes/resonar/fr/default?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=413090&filters%5Btranslation_id%5D=53808695
But in some languages this might NOT be possible.
The translator needs to be aware of this and may want to drop %s from his/her translation string if it is impossible to create one phrase that fits both cases…

Hey there,
I migrated my customer’s site from wordpress.com to her chosen domain name, which is now hosted on a Linux Server. www.ads-software.com files are installed and the site utilises the ‘Resonar’ theme.
I do not understand why there are differences in the themes between ‘.com’ and ‘.org’, namely the Logo option is missing from the ‘.org’, Site Identity settings.
I read in the another post to load the jetpack plugin from ‘wordpress.com’, and this should sort the issue.
Is there another way to go about this, that is to accomplish the result of substituting the Site-Title text for my customer’s logo, please?
I look forward to your response.
Thank you and kind regards,
Dominic.
Hi there, I’m using the Resonar theme on my blog but I’d like to change the menu to behave like on the Juniper theme.
So the menu sits on top of the featured image and is sticky when scrolling down.

I’d like to change my site name to the same font and size used in the tagline. I’m using Jetpack so I might just need code to add to “Additional CSS”?
Thanks so much!
I’d like to make the following changes to my home page. Is there code I can add to “Edit CSS”?
Can the white header bar be made shorter so more of my feature photograph can show?
To create space for this to happen, can my name be moved from under the logo to just to the right of the logo?
Can the header bar be made a little transparent so it’s not solid white?
Can I change the font for my name to match the font already used in the tagline?
Can I change the color of the font for my name?
Can I change the size of the font for my name?
I can hide the “Home” button in the Home page menu?
Can I make the down arrow (“more to read” indicator) in the tagline bigger or bolder so it’s a little easier to see against my feature photograph?
My website is: LaurenCarroll.net
Thanks so much!
So I’m pretty sure Resonar is the theme I need but I have one issue. I created two pages already and added feature images to them. Unfortunately it seems they are not fully shown, they seem to be cut. Is there a different size needed for pages? I added 2000×1500…
It looks like this:

whereas the full image looks like this:

Is it because I use MacBook Air and my screen is small or what? ??
Hi
Does anyone know how I could display my posts as thumbnails (similar to this: https://iamafoodblog.com/category/recipes/) on my category pages?
Is there a plugin that could do this?
Cheers,
Dan
Hi,
I’d like to make a couple of tweaks to the header:
– I installed the Jetpack plugin so I could add my logo to the header, it’s there but I would like to make it bigger. How can I do that?
– I would also like to add a search feature and social icons to the right hand side of the header (below the menu). Previously I had widgets for this in the side, is it possible to add widgets to the header? If so, how?
– Oh, this isn’t header related but on the homepage it shows “Home” as that’s the title – is it possible to hide this but only on the homepage?
The site is: https://a-shaw-thing.co.uk/
As you’ll see, it’s very much work in progress.
I’ll appreciate any and all help ??
I really love this theme because of the fullscreen feature images.
Now I would like to have the option to display media attachments as repsonsive fullscreen images just like the feature images.
Is there an easy way to implement this into the Resonar theme or are there any plugins that already do the job?
Thanks!
