I have changed the colour scheme of my website from the grey/black/white/blue template in Retina theme:

I cannot seem to change the grey-to-white blend background colours in the sidebar.
It seems the sidebar background could be an image:

Where is the image? How can I change the grey to ffe9b0 to match my colour scheme?

Hello

Love the theme. Two things –

1. Despite having unchecked the option to let people post, posting comments is still showing up. I have worked around it but now I have every page showing “you must be logged in to comment” – I just don’t want comments.

2. Is there a way to kill the sidebar?

Cannot change sidebar width

I’m trying to reduce the sidebar width so that there’s not so much empty space on the right-hand side. I tried looking through the code to see what could affect this issue, but was unsuccessful. Any ideas?

Translation in retina.po does not work

Hi!
I have translated the retina.po file to german – at least I tried to do so. I did this first manually using vim as a text editor, then using POedit. Neither of them worked. Some text elements do translate properly, others do not. As examples, the strings “Monthly Archives:” and “You are browsing the site archives by month.” do not translate at all while “Edit” and “Leave a Comment” work properly.

I have no clue why this happens but I have to admit I am completely new to wordpress. See the translated file below.

i am trying to add a secondary sidebar to my retina theme. i have found the code for the sidebars in lib/functions and added another entry in the array for my new sidebar. i have duplicated and altered the a file for my second sidebar that i am calling sidebar-contact.php

i have read many support entries and documentation, but the configuration in my theme is different and i can’t get it to work.

my array code

i am using the retina theme and trying to find the code that registers the single dynamic sidebar so that i can add a secondary dynamic sidebar, with identical look/feel but with different widgets, for a specific page. i have looked on the functions.php page and it isn’t there. any other place that it might exist? entire code of the function.php file below.
