I have a site using Ribosome theme that also uses Woocommerce. I have create a child theme (which uses the same functions.php file that I am using successfully on a different WordPress Site), but I’m not seeing the changes (against Ribosome things) that I put in my child theme. The child theme shows that it loads if I inspect the code.

This is my style.css:

The second question is since my child theme is loaded after the Woocommerce stuff (but before the Ribosome stuff), how is the child theme going to get priority over the Woocommerce file? Do I need a separate child theme for Woocommerce (as far as I can tell, I’m not using a theme of theirs)?

Some time ago I’ve added 4 header images to my WP-site withe theme Ribosome, to be shown randomly. That works fine.

Now I want to add a new header image, so I choose an image from the Media-library. However the next screen “Add / crop” stays empty, so I can’t continue.

Next trial: all 4 images are deleted – Same result, so no more header images at all.
I’ve replaced a website-backup to get my header images back.

What may be wrong?

I’m building a WordPress site on my local machine (so I can’t provide a link to show you). I’m using the free Ribosome theme and the WordPress Download Manager (WPDM) plugin. When I installed the companion WPDM – Gutenberg Blocks plugin, both my site title and social media icons in the top bar disappeared. I really want to use both Ribosome and the WPDM – Gutenberg Blocks plug in. How can I make the site title and social icons appear when using both?

I want to omit posts with the category I have set for ‘Resources’ from showing on the home page.

Can you help me to know how to do that?

I use the Ribisome themre and I have a sticky post. This post is shown as an excerpt only on the homepage with a read more link.
How can I make sure the sticky post is shown completely on the homepage.

Ribisome has an option to show complete content of all posts on the home page but this does not work for the sticky post apparently.

In version 2.5.0 when NO widgets are active in sidebar areas, the default template shows a blank sidebar area, and content is not shown full width.

But in version 2.4.5 with NO active widgets, the default template does not show a sidebar area and the content is displayed full-width.

So under 2.5.0 to get my content to show full width, I would have to change ALL my pages from ‘default template’ to ‘Full-Width Page Template, No Sidebar’ which would be a pain!

I have searched for some help in the already published topics but to no avail.

I have a site for which I created a Ribosome child theme (I mean, of course, the lite version thereof). I want to know whether is it possible to remove the padding and margins in the full-width page template in order to assign them myself through the Beaver Builder editor that I use for the layout of my site. If it is possible, I would like to know how to do it (though I am almost absolute beginner with only a few notions of html and css). Also, if such thing is not possible to do with the whole body of the full-width page, I would like to know whether is it at least possible to remove the padding and the sides and top margins in my site home page in order for the image I use on it to fit in the sides bordering the background and the top bordering the menu bar, leaving no white space in within the image and the box borders.

Please, forgive my poor English. I am a Spanish native speaker.

I was trying to figure out how to use Google Analytics on my WordPress site, and seem to have inadvertently modified my header information. When I try and log into the dashboard, I get the following:

I have tried as best I can to reset everything back to default using a combination of the code editor in Dreamweaver and my server’s file manager feature, but the warning remains, and I honestly don’t know what it’s telling me to fix.

Recently I have updated my website with the new article and it not appearing on the homepage.

I am about to launch my site, but I am not able to get a comment box to appear on my Posts. I have Bulk Edited Posts to “Allow Comments” and I am able to see a comment box on particular Pages (such as About Us), but not on individual Posts. Any ideas?

I am placing 300px Adsense ads in a text widget beneath a 300px image, also in a widget. [I’m using a desktop Mac] These scale okay in Firefox, but when viewed in Safari the ad doesn’t always scale, and runs off the right hand side of the page. Any ideas?
