Is this theme compatible with WP 6.7? Has anyone tried?
]]>I just downloaded this theme since I wanted a theme with a sidebar. I want to put a menu in the sidebar that lists the main pages but also shows the subpages when the parent is clicked. All I can find is a page list which lists all the pages in alphabetical order. I tried a navigation menu from the legacy widgets, but it does the same thing as the page list. Is it possible to do this or should I get a different theme?

Just thought I’d have another go at fixing this issue. The featured image caption does not line up correctly with the little camera icon. It is a site-wide issue, not any particular post or image caption. Any ideas how to solve this?

]]>Hello, I would like to change the image intrinsic size, for exemple on the home page, it’s 400×200, the size display well but the image doesn’t look good, kinda blurry.
I did this in function.php, line 29 :add_image_size( 'post-image-thumb', 512, 512, true ); // 400, 200

I was wondering if there is any way for me to update the Merriweather font on my site so that it can handle characters from the Latin Extended set, such as ?, ?, ?, etc.? According to Google Fonts, the latest version of the Merriweather font supports these characters: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Merriweather/glyphs.
Since Lato does not support Latin Extended, I would like to swap it for the font ‘Open Sans’. Could you please advise on whether and how I can do this?

]]>I’ve been using Rowling on wordpress.com and I’d now like to start using it with www.ads-software.com. I installed it, but it seems to be quite a bit different than what I’m used to on wordpress.com.
For example, the Appearance -> Customize menu on wordpress.com has a “Content Options” submenu that I rely upon. However, with www.ads-software.com, I see no such submenu under Customize. And I can’t find the options I’m looking for anywhere else. For example, I rely on the “Automatically Use First Image In Post” option.
Any ideas on why I’m not seeing the “Content Options” submenu?

I have just installed Rowling. I’m just starting with WordPress so I’m sorry for the beginners questions. By default, the theme has the “Search form” “Categories” and “Archives” widgets with the theme formatting (underline with accent colors etc.)
Yet when I had a new widget, all formatting disappear, as if the theme was reset. How can I add amend the widgets whilst keeping the theme formatting?

Hi! I’m totally in love with Rowling, but I have an issue. I have Related Posts turned on at the bottom of posts. Problem is that pagination is in between the post Related Posts, so it’s confusing for readers.
Is there a way I can get pagination to appear above Related Posts? Thanks.

2. There are no social media share buttons for articles. When I install third-party plugins (eg: Social Warfare) there’s a white space between the featured image and the first paragraph.
]]>I recently converted my website theme to Rowling and am very happy with it.
One feature seems to be behaving strangely, and that is the little colored flag with a star on it that appears on all article featured images on the front page of my website.
On other visual examples of Rowling, this only seems to appear on the latest article, or none at all.
I have searched all my settings to see if I can turn this feature “off” in some way or limit it to the latest article, but I can’t find a solution.
Please let me know how to remove this feature.
It may be relevant that I do not have a “static” homepage.

]]>We have been using Rowling since mid 2019 and have published 1900+ articles. We are now finding that the pagination does not allow you to get past 1700 articles.
So the first 200 articles we published are now not accessible (the earliest article showing is July 13, 2019 but the earliest article we published was about 200 articles before that on May 1, 2019).
Is this a known limit in Rowling and does that mean we have to stop publishing more articles?
Is there a fix for this?

]]>Hi, For the past few months a large white gap always appears between the opening text and the first image. I normally write a couple of paragraphs then feature an image.
This only seems to happen on desktop and started recently for no apparent reason.

]]>When I have images in my posts there seems to be some conflict with Related Posts and the image in the Post.
There is a big empty space the gets bigger if there are more related posts with image inside post. However if there is no image inside the post then there is no big empty space.
How can I fix this?
]]>When the mobile menu is activated, each link has an open disc because of the li and ::marker. I have not been able to find where the code is to override it in the child theme.
It is my understanding that any CSS selector with ::name is a pseudo-class and needs to be used as part of a tag selector, ex. li::marker. I have recently run into some code that has ::marker outside the tag.

]]>I recently installed the Rowling theme on my site. Strangely when I click the site Navigation menu sometimes a pop-up advt appears (with “Ad” written at the top corner). It mostly happens just once when I load the page afresh. I didn’t configure any such ad, and looks like this pop-up code is hidden within the theme. Can the author point out how to remove it?

I really like the Rowling feature of “related posts” into a left sidebar of a post.
However, I always get a random list there instead of posts really related to the same category of the one I am reading. I found the part of code in Functions.php that includes the query logic, but even if I keep only the part marked as following, nothing changes:
// Create a query for posts in the same category as the ones for the current post
How can I change the code in Functions.php so that only the list of posts belonging to the category of the text I’m reading is returned?
