This theme has a delightful, subtle style out of the box, but it’s also a dream to customize.

It has great bones underlying a clean surface. It’s not a total blank slate, but it’s not cluttered with a lot of stylistic layers that have to be scraped off before you can paint on your own style.

It’s simple to customize with a child theme, because everything is put together in a standard way, and many functions are pluggable. And you don’t have to wade through a maze of bloated code or figure out a complicated “framework.”

It’s perfect for a simple blog.
