Hey, I’ve really enjoyed using Serena. Problem came today though: after an update to latest version of WP, the typeface on new posts (not old one) defaults to caps and small caps.

Any idea how I could change it, or why the switch is happening?

I hope someone can help me fix this.
I’m using Serene Theme (Version: 1.4) and when trying to embed a video so it displays it on the header of the post sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t (??)
First it took me a while to figure out that the way to embed the videos was through the old wordpress embeding code:

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8i8Vb3c3rc4&w=1280&h=540&rel=0%5D

because if I try it with the new embeding code:

<iframe width=”1280″ height=”540″ src=”https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/1aGF1aNd5eo?rel=0&#8243; frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>

it doesn’t work.

Now the funny thing is that it only works in some posts not in all of them.

and the way I embeded the video is exactly the same (??)

I am a new WordPress user, and have only limited coding knowledge. I like your relatively minimalist theme, but want to enable comments to my posts. I’ve enabled “Allow people to post comments on new articles” under Settings > Discussion, but I don’t see a way for readers to do this on my site. Is this built into your theme, or will it take some custom coding to fully enable comments?

If so, can you point me to some instructions?

For whatever reason, the Disqus plug in isn’t displaying properly- and Disqus seems convinced it’s a theme issue. Not a plug-in issue.

You can see that it’s chopped off half of the comment thread. Any thoughts on what I would need to adjust in the code to get it to display fully?

I no longer have Featured Images for blog posts on my homepage and I need them there. Can you help please?

I’m trying to remove the top border on the content section of this theme. I simply cannot seem to get rid of it! I’ve located it in the style.css file and I am 99% sure that it’s this bit of CSS causing it :

#content,
.sidebar {
  border-top: 1px solid #666666;
}

But I just cannot make it go away! I’ve tried the above with ‘border-style: none;” and it did not work. Any help would be really appreciated!

I am using the Serena Theme
Whilst there is a w/Sidebar Page Template, I am having a problem placing a permanent sidebar using the static page option.
If any has an idea on how this can be resolved please get back to me. Never know, I may even make a donation. ??
