would be grateful for help, how can i remove the search block from this website? I’ve looked in footers and widgets and found nothing. When i search it says that i haven’t got a search installed. I’m wondering if its a bit of code i need to add?
Thanks

Ideas? Thanks.
]]>So, I’m hoping someone here either has done one or both of these things, or can give me pretty explicit pointers on where to make the necessary adjustments.
(1) I’d like to not have the mobile navigation menu, instead just having my regular menu at all sizes (or maybe just shift the breakpoint from 895/896 to something way smaller.
Alternatively/also:
(2) In cases where the mobile menu is used, there’s a weird display annoyance. When you load a page, the menu button is blue. When you click to open the menu, the button turns black. But when you click to close it, it stays black instead of reverting to blue. I’d like to get it to revert to blue when you close the menu.
Thanks!
]]>Good day, Noob user here and trying to learn how to use WordPress themes, and love the Shoreditch theme. as I am trying to set up the site just as same as the demo, the button aren’t display as the demo showed (no hover and on hover) there is underline on the text on the button as I attached the picture. how do I set up the page just as same as the demo?
second question is about footer setting: when I create the 3 column block in the footer, all the contend are jammed together, what should I do to set-up the footer just as same as the demo?
Thank you for your time
]]>For years I used Shoreditch on a one page site for my business. It has been ideal.
This week I decided to add blog posts to the website.
They work fine but when I installed Yoast and added my site https://fridaystreet.co.nz/ to Google Search Console I discovered the theme produces a weird page sitemap with entries like:
https://fridaystreet.co.nz/obviously-this-is-under-construction/845-2/
What is going on here? Is there a way to fix it, does it even need fixing?
]]>Hi developers,
Thank you for creating the excellent theme, Shoreditch.
Rarely, I encountered an issue when I visit my site recently.
This line shows up on multiple pages:
Notice: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in /home/vol12_3/byethost6.com/b6_19674766/felixlo.byethost6.com/htdocs/wp-content/themes/shoreditch/inc/extras.php on line 53
How should this be fixed?
]]>The testimonials show up in the website on several pages. But we can’t edit them in the Dashboard. I installed Jetpack and there is an item Testimonials in the Dashboard menu. When I go go to testimonials there is only 1 testimonial while there are several shown in the frontend. When you go to https://joycelakwijk.nl/testimonial/ there is also only one.
There seems to be no widget used for testimonials in Shoreditch.
And I can’t find the testimonial in my database. So I’m wondering where does the theme gets the testimonials from?
I logged in at wordpress.com to see whether Jetpack stores them there but I can only find the one that’s in the site’s Dashboard.
hi!
I have been using your theme for some weeks now and overall I am very happy with it.
I have a bottom footer with three columns which has been giving me some trouble. I would like the three columns to display just like in your shoreditch demo: three titles in bold, and content below them. The content for each title would be a text block for “disclaimer”, a list of posts for “news” and a short text for “events”.
I managed to set this up and it displays correctly on browsers; however, on mobile, I see the three titles one after the other, and then the respective content below them. This in fact corresponds to the order of blocks in the bottom footer editor, because weirdly enough that’s the only way I found to have the titles and content displayed properly on browser.
Hope that’s not too confusing! Any guidance is very much appreciated ??
]]>hi,
I am migrating my current website to Shoreditch theme.
So far so good, but I would like to change the colour of buttons, both the regular and the minimal one.
Currently the regular button has the default blue background with white text; when hovering the text becomes blue and the background white. I would like to change the blue to our project identity colour: #49a343
Same goes for the minimal button: the text and border are currently blue, and when hovering the background becomes blue and text white. Again, I’d like the blue to be replaced with #49a343
Could you help me with the CSS? I tried something but the hovering effect does not change, since I am not that advanced in my CSS knowledge. So I ended up deleting the CSS change, waiting for your input if possible.
Sorry I cannot share the link to the website as it is password protected.
Cheers!

It has only arisen in the last week or so, so presumably with a update.
I’ve searched the forums but this error seems to arise most commonly in plug-ins.
WordPress 5.7.2, Shoreditch 1.2.2, PHP 8.06

]]>Hello. Many thanks on your efforts. I have a little knowledge of HTML or source code though, thanks to you and WordPress I’m able to manage small company’s webpage.
I have an issue with Internet Explorer. Image and gallery blocks on Google chrome does perfectly work, but it seems not working well on the Internet Explorer. https://equipforskin.com/files/nuts.png (right side – Chrome / Left side – IE)
I had to switch some of image/gallery blocks on pages to the images with plugins after I found out it wasn’t working. Is there anything I could get help with? Thank you in advance.
I have used other answers from this forum to reduce the white space above the header, but I still have a lot of padding in the menu bar under the text. I’m looking on a desktop in Chrome and all my versions are up to date. What CSS could I use to reduce the height of the menu bar itself please?
Many thanks
]]>Not sure what I’ve done to my header but It was originally one level about the same as the footer however it’s gotten bigger and I didn’t change anything to do with the header.
Any suggestions would be helpful

Please could you advise on why and how to fix the below error? This error is currently showing on all pages via front end?

I have tried a few of the codes I found on this support forum for both php and css and could NOT get it to work. I also tried the Panel page template (as per the theme page instructions) which just made the featured image as a background for the whole page, not just the header. The lower image still stayed the same.
I’m trying to change the image lower down the page to be full width and the copy to sit within the current width (which seems to be 1020px wide).
This is done on the demo version of the Shoreditch theme on the image overlay further down the page… How on earth can I achieve the same thing??

I put logo on my site and I had to put some code in function.php and css. On my page it looks ok but it’s too big on mobile. Could please help me to change it?

Hi,
how can I make bigger font in menu?

Hi,
Is there anyway to make the navigation bar transparent so that the first homepage block’s featured image is displayed behind it?
Also is there anyway to change the navigation bar’s link(s) to another colour?
Cheers
]]>Hi,
I have been using the Shoreditch Theme with UpdraftPlus Plugin but when ever I try to backup, the below error message pops up:

Please could someone advise on how to fix it?

]]>Hello,
My WP theme is Shoreditch.
I’m not a developer, I just built my website on my own and don’t know much about codes.
I’ve added an IMAGE to my title header (instead of the logo that I couldn’t control).
The image + title look fine on the desktop version and on the mobile version when mobile is horizontal (landscape mode).
However, when the mobile is VERTICAL the image gets much bigger and ruins the design.
Any idea of how I could make it stable for both desktop AND mobile through adding or changing codes in custom additional CSS)?
(I couldn’t find a way to add screenshots to this post…)
Thank you very much ??

Hello, I’ve been having an issue with the dropdown menus in my header being covered by the top block on my page. See here. I’ve read countless forum posts and nothing has seemed to work. I have also done a lot with CSS for the header and the problematic blocks as well as additional CSS for my theme. I have tried putting z-index: 99999;
in my headers Additional CSS class(es) section and z-index: 1;
in my blocks Additional CSS class(es) section. any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!
As per the thread directly below this, I downloaded version 1.2.6, uploaded and activated it. However, this showed me the default 2020 theme which I keep as a backup theme. I could activate the new Shoreditch theme version (I have 1.2.6 and the previous one installed) but I could not activate the child theme from Theme Editor > Select theme to edit, as there was an error saying that the parent theme was not to be found. My child theme also disappeared from the installed themes! I also could not go back to the old Shoreditch version and activate my child theme as this also told me that there was no parent theme.
Fortunately, I have Vaultpress backups plus a second backup line of defence and I restored the site.
I have no idea why this happened but note that when any theme update has previously shown in the dashboard, I’ve never had this problem.
I have several websites running Shoreditch so am keen to get this sorted.
Is it possible (as intimated in the thread below that this will happen in the future) to push this as a regular theme update?
]]>Shoreditch will try to adjust the color of the text based on the background color you’ve chosen. If I overwrite the text color by setting:
.entry-content {
color: #000000;
}
Then the ability to auto-adjust the color disappears.
Is it possible using basic css to change the underlying default font colour from grey (#7a7c84) to black without losing the color adjustment feature?
Many thanks
]]>If I edit the page, that is also selected as the posts page, then I can set a featured image. I would expect, that this featured image shoule be shown on the posts page just like the featured image on any other page. But the posts page does not show its featured image. The posts page just lists the posts and their featured images. How do I enable the featured image on the posts page? The website is not public yet, so I can not give a URL at this time, but the question is general and should apply to any default install of WordPress and Shoreditch.
]]>Hello All,
I can’t get the audio clip I inserted to this page to play, as you see the player is there but the play button is greyed out. I created it by adding the URL to the mp3 file stored on my Google Drive.
I noticed when I add the URL to the field and save, the play button goes black as if it’s playable, but then immediately goes greyed out.
I have tried all sorts, tested with small files, added .mp3 to the end of the link address.
The direct link to the audio stored on Google Drive is:

Many thanks for any help or advice!

]]>Hello,
I am using the theme and i just wanted to see what is the CSS code to change the color of the search button and the color of the boarder(search bar)
]]>You can see from the attached link that the corresponding heading winds up behind the page header bar. If you scroll the page up some, you see the header. Same problem with all the submenu anchor links.
I see that there is a way to solve this with some custom css, but I thought I would check here in case there is an easier way. It looks like it might be tricky to code this in a fully responsive way. I have seen suggestions that some themes, like Twenty Seventeen, handle this out of the box (search that page for “twentyseventeen”).
Perhaps there is an existing css class that I can add to my anchor links, or someone can share the text of a class I can add that will work responsively.
