Hi all,
My website was recently updated to WordPress 6.6.2, and I found that all my portfolio posts are now missing. Has anyone else encountered this? How were you able to fix it? I’m a bit nervous here…
Thanks so much for an insight.
Hi all
Since sketch theme has not been updated for more than 2 years now, my hosting suggest to ask if it is better not to updated to 6.6.1 version of Sketch as it is required
Leaving as it is may prevent problems
What is the best solution?
Thanks a lot

Is the Sketch’s portfolio post type entirely reliant on jetpack’s custom post types? Is there a workaround to enable the portfolio cpt without jetpack activated? I believe the native wp portfolio/ testimonial feature started as a theme feature…
This is a lovely, lightweight theme and it’s a shame being dragged by jetpacks massive footprint.
Hello,
Can the ‘No Project Found’ be removed from the page?
I do not want to use it but also when I click ‘Get Started Here’ it get the error message ‘Invalid Post Type’.
Also, the site is just live for 20mins. The images are ‘fillers’ and real art projects will be added ??
I am not a regular user of WordPress, so please bear with me.
I set up my blog ipensionati.com in 2019. Used a plug in to create an image header unique to each post —Unique Headers (v1.8.1 by Ryan Hellyer). Worked great. Now, when I try, I am unable to add a header. I read Hellyer’s website that suggested I also install his plug in Unique Headers Single Posts (v1.5). Did not help.
The sidebar no longer shows the option for the headers.
I am using the theme “Sketch”
Thanks in advance for anyone’s help
Hi, I’m brand new to WordPress, and I’m trying to help my son set up a website for his artwork. We’re trying to use Sketch expressly for the built-in portfolio feature, but the instructions on the theme information page don’t match up with my dashboard options. It seems like Sketch was made for WordPress.com, and we’re using www.ads-software.com. I’ve been through the documentation several times now, searched this forum, and have come up with nothing and am at my wit’s end. I can’t even say more about the problem because the portfolio and any way to edit or add to it are simply absent. I know it isn’t much to go on, but I’d really appreciate some help with this.
Oh, and another weird thing is that the home page currently has a menu, but it doesn’t exist under the menus customisation section. However, if I add a page, it will appear in the seemingly non-existent-but-clearly-actually-existent menu. This isn’t the main issue, though, but any light that can be shed would still be useful.
I also can’t seem to find a way to disable the sidebar. I’ve read several different ways to do this, they just don’t seem to be applicable to my dashboard.
Now, it seems that a different theme (Crio) I tried in the meantime has supplanted my son’s actual content with its own generic content.
Again, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hello,
Upgraded WP from 4.* to 5.9. Portfolio thumbnails are visible on the main page but links lead to nowhere. And Theme customization feature disappeared.
Can anyone help please?
Hi there, I am using Sketch for my portfolio and I don’t want both “Related Posts” and “More Projects” to appear at the bottom of each page as I think it’s too much. I’d much rather have one or the other. Is there a simple CSS command that can hide either “Related Posts” or “More Projects”? Which ever is easiest. Many thanks, Helen.
Hi everyone,
My logo is no longer showing on my site (in the top left, in the header) though everything looks good on the back end. It doesn’t appear to be any browser add-ons (I tried in different browsers and private windows) but nothing quite makes sense. Has anyone discovered this kind of thing, or have ideas of what’s going on here?
Thanks!
Elisabeth
Hi,
I couldn’t see a template for an archive page (for blog posts) in Sketch. Is there a way to do this? With custom CSS where you can change the options for what categories are displayed?
Also, is there a way to put some category links at the top of the blog roll (not as a widget) – so that they stay there like a pinned tweet?
Very grateful for any help, thanks heaps.

Hi,
I found your theme and liked the look of it for a student project but I’m actually really confused at the moment. I activated your theme on my WordPress site but it does not show as expected. all the documentation I keep finding refers to its use as a theme on wordpress.com not as a theme on a standalone site like mine.
any assistance is gladly appreciated.
Thanks
Steve
I’m using sketch and would like to only have the header image on the front page but not my project page or any others. This came up in an earlier forum post but the question wasn’t specifically about sketch: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/show-header-only-on-front-page/.
I used theme editor and tried pasting the code from that post (both examples) into the bottom of style.css but it had no effect. Should it be somewhere else in the file? Any other suggestions?
Just testing this out locally for now so I don’t have a link for my site.
For my website, I use the Portfolio shortcode, instead of the Portfolio template, in order to only show portfolio pieces in specific categories. But when I click on a specific project, the regular portfolio behavior shows below, and instead of more of whatever category I am showing, it just puts in every kind of portfolio entry. How can I change this behavior, so that it just shows the items in the same category…with the same coding? (I am building a child theme in my local environment, but it is not online yet…)
I’m using WooCommerce with Sketch, and product reviews are enabled on my (local test only for now) website. However they don’t seem to show up on the product page. Does Sketch support woooCommerce product reviews? If not, can anyone recommend a similar theme which might do it, or point me to a resource which would help me modify the theme to support reviews?
Thank you very much!
Been trying to work this out for weeks: how can I change the (wrong) image of the laughing couple on the mobile version?
And How can I get the mobile to show up as it looks on the desktop, and not give viewers the choice at the bottom of the mobile pages that switches to the wrong version?
I’d appreciate anyone’s help, Thanks,

Hello,
Has anybody upgraded to 5.4 with sketch. Any issues?
No compatibility info with the theme since it’s starting to get pretty old.
Thanks
Hello. Since my site title is sort of long it breaks line at an awkward place so I was wondering if there’s any way via shortcode or otherwise reduce the size of the title or have control over where the line breaks. For example i would want it to read:
The art of Todd Lauzon instead of
The art of todd
Lauzon
Or
The art of
Todd Lauzon
Cheers and thanks in advance.

I have CSS written to make the menu item for the current page have a teal (#00A39C) color, however, the menu items for the two Archive Pages I’m using do not have the “current-page-item” or “current-menu-item” class applied to them. Here is the CSS I am using.
.current_page_item a, .current-menu-item a {
color: #00A39C !important;
}
That works for my other two menu items, the “Home” and “About Mike” links. However, for “Articles” or “Resources” the active menu does not get that teal color since those two menu items do not get the “current-page-item” or “current-menu-item” classes for some reason.
I don’t understand why those two links behave differently than the first two. I added those two links to my primary menu in the exact same way as the “Home” and “About Mike” links that do work. None of my menu items have any additional CSS classes applied to them. Can you help me get the Current Menu link to behave the same for all 4 of my menu items?
Hi guys!
Noticed my logo has disappeared.
Went to Customize – Site Identity and noticed that logo option is not there, all I have is:
Site Title
Tagline
(Display Site Title and Tagline) – which I enabled due to missing logo.
Site Icon
Spent all day trying to figure it out, disabled plugins, switched themes, still nothing. Any help would be appreciated!
Is it possible to override ::after selectors?
My page (on localhost right now) has a simple header, an image and then the bottom (which has too much white space, an HR, and then the footer.
The Sketch theme adds 3 ::after selectors followed by an HR at the bottom of each content area. They appear to be the cause of a lot of unwanted space.
Is there a way to get rid of them, without modifying their code? Can I do this with a bit of custom CSS?
So at the end of the page above the footer it looks something like this:

::after

::after

Hello everyone!
I’m running into an issue with the hover color for the portfolio archive page (linked above). I have been able to change the css so that when you hover over the project title (for example, Hanoi International Church), it is yellow. However, when you hover over the image, the text is still the default orange. I can’t figure out what to target in order to change the color for that hover state as well. Can anyone help?
Thanks so much!
Elisabeth
I’m not sure how to make the logo larger – I can’t figure out where the sizing mechanism is on the logo. Can anyone help me? I want to make it responsive, but the only way I found to make it bigger was to give an absolute pixel width to .site-logo, but then the width gets wonky when it resizes (smaller). Can anyone help?
I am hoping to be able to use Sketch as my theme, but it’s so important that my header image (that includes text) be crystal clear, but when I load my image into Customize>header I get a blurry image despite that I created the image to be exactly 1092X400 which is what was recommended (and what I see in the code).
I uploaded the same image via Media>Library and the picture is clear upon import. It is only when I load the jpg to the header area that it regenerates as fuzzy. I’ve double-checked the jpg- even the Media>Library believes it to be 1092X400, but the header loader does ask if I want to crop it. To which I have answered no, and when that didn’t work then I answered yes.
I made sure the image import enabled sizes of 1092X400 for the large images.
I’m not sure what to do to get around this header loading issue. I’ve even tried the “regenerate thumbnails” that people suggest for blurry images- but that didn’t do anything (not surprisingly but I thought I’d try anyway).
I’m really unsure why the Sketch theme wants to crop an image that is exactly the size it requested. If I weren’t importing an image that includes text, then the image would probably be okay, but the text part of the image is so important here.
Thanks.
On my desktop computer the headings are shown in uppercase. On my Samsung smartphone and tablet, they are either shown in uppercase or Title case. Is there some way to make them consistent please? Given my business these details are important.
Also, I would like Content and UX Design to have a line break after the ampersand (&). How would I do this please?
Hi there! I love Sketch. Won’t change it for no reason, but:
I’m wondering what’s wrong with the customize function: when it comes to edit a page in live preview the menu overlaps the page, so it’s weird and difficult to select an item through the superimposed menu. Don’t know if it’s clear what I’m trying to say. I’d like to attach a screenshot!
Where’s the fault? Thank you for helping me!
Hello,
I applied this CSS but I know that it is not specific enough.
.entry-content p {
max-width: 30em;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
I like how it looks on my portfolio projects but I don’t want to apply it to the blog posts. How can I specify that?
Thank you!
The top menu menu works fine when it is expanded.
When the menu shrinks down to the hamburger menu on a mobile, nothing happens when the hamburger menu is clicked.
Any ideas?
I use this theme on another site and it works fine on there…
hello. is there anyway i can use feaured images as header in all pages? thanks!
Hi, I’ve successfully made https://www.atallshrink.com look the way I want it to but I can’t rememeber how I did it, nor can I reverse engineer. I want to have a slider header and to be able to add projects on the front page just as in my other site. But I can’t figure out how to. Can anyone help in a simple, clear way without mentioning code and bearing in mind I’m not terribly wordpress literate? Or point me to a video shoing how to build from scratch?
Thanks, Sally
Hello!
I want to change all links and buttons colours from the default orange to yellow.
I found the following code and added it to Additional CSS:
a:link {color:#EFB82B;}
It did change all the links like I wanted but it didn’t change the button on my contact form and it messed the three yellow buttons (yellow background, white text) on my homepage: instead of them being yellow with white text, they’re all yellow and on hover the original settings appear (yellow background, white font and orange highlight around it on hover).
I’d like to still make all the links yellow and keep the buttons with the yellow background and white text and with a purple (#871952) highlight around on hover, including the button on the contact form.
Is this possible?
Thanks very much!
Olívia
