Is anyone actively maintaining this? This is a well designed theme and should be brought up to date. I wish I had the skills and time to do it myself.

I’m using the Skirmish theme and the leading or margins top and bottom for H2 and H3 are too much. Please share some code to deduce the space.

PLEASE help! I have been told by GoDaddy to just select another theme but I worked 2 weeks on tweaking this one!

I am new to WordPress. However, after reading several posts in the forum, I was able to figure out how to delete the date from my blog post. I deleted the following code from the content.php file:

This blog post will be the only post on the site because I am using this as my static page. Now, I can’t figure out how to adjust the margin to left align the text. Please help!

Its seems whenever I edit a text widget, in the a slightly modified child theme based on the Skirmish theme, sidebar the remaining text widget disappears from my webpage. This did not seem to happen before updating to version 3.9.
The disappeared text widget gets reclassified as inactive and only reappears under the Inactive Widget list if the tab in the Chrome Browser is refreshed. I can then reclassify the widget as active and give it its proper place number in the sidebar, but this seems to be extra work that should not be required.

I use Skirmish theme, and my problem is with main menu. When someone put your mouse pointer on menu, then opens drop down list of subpage, and if you want to choose something from the drop down list, when mowing mouse pointer to drop down list, it disappears.
Can someone help me to do something in CSS code to fix this.

Hi, my site is JLakoda.com. I have a header image on the home page. But on my individual blog pages I also have that same header image. How do I get rid of it? I don’t want there to be a header image on my individual blog pages. Thanks =)

I am running the Skirmish Theme (version 1.0) and have created menu items with multiple submenus. When I add a new menu item and save the menu, the new item is added but some of the other primary menus disappear. Is there a limit to the number of menu items that are allowed in this there or WordPress?

Hi! I love this theme, and recently just added a new page for the MENU.

However, on the MENU, the page title is different from the rest. I’m have not done anything different in creating this new page. Can some one help?

After looking to its first page I did download this theme, but i do not find any theme option to work on. Usually under Apperance special option for particular theme appeared. But this does not have..

Should i have to upload some plugins….?

I’m brand new to CSS (sorry) and I am trying to learn how to do things, like remove the header text from my blog (https://www.orangespoken.com). I want it to show on the browser, but not above my custom header. I know I have to add something to CSS, but I’m not sure what it is, AND where to put it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! ??

I managed to fix my earlier issue with the sidebar but now i have a large empty gap on the right of my text. How to i adjust the settings to make the text go right the way across the whole page?

This is my first post as i am having some trouble with the theme of my website.

Firstly i would like to use the “Skirmish” theme. I have downloaded and installed it however i would like to change the ship picture to one of my own. How do i do this? Please give me a step by step guide as i am very new to all of this.

Second there is a column down the right of the screen showing “archives” etc can i get rid of this element? If so again how do i do this please?

OMG…please help me. I spent the whole day trying to change the background color of the date box on the main/index page of the blog…and i just cant find it!

I’ve got a small improvment suggestion:

in functions.php change the link to googleapis to a schema-independent version, like

wp_enqueue_style( 'fonts', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lusitana|Droid+Sans' );

or

$schema = (is_ssl() == TRUE) ? 'https' : 'http';
wp_enqueue_style( 'fonts', $schema.'://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lusitana|Droid+Sans' );

That way it won’t break the site encryption and prevent error messages that the site is only partly encrypted.

Hello, I am a very new user of WordPress and put our first post on our blog with the Skirmish theme which we like very much. I noticed that the post on the main page does not show the name of the author. However, when I click the title and go to the permalink the post now shows the name of the author and the date/time posted??

Can someone help me so I can have the author names posted on the main page

Hello – I’s like to replace the blog title with my logo…having trouble figuring out exactly what to change on the header.php. My website is https://www.leadingedgetennis.net The image I’d like to use is at https://leadingedgetennis.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/LET_Logo_GREEN_21.jpg I’d like it to be centered of course and be 800 pixels wide by 234 high. In my attempts it seems to throw off my custom menu… Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would like posts to align to left as pages do. The date display takes up screen space I would like to reclaim. Right now I’m just experimenting prior to starting a project. I tried several things, but all looked pretty bad. Another question is if it’s possible to resize or center the menu relativ of the window size. I would like my menu to let no free space on the right or left.
