I’ve searched everywhere for the answer to this, and through I have found solutions for other themes (none of which actually worked) I am trying to find how to hide the Featured Image in each Post in the Snapshot Theme.

To clarify, I run a record label site, each post is only an image with details of the individual record release, and I want this image to link to the iTunes store… so on the home page you see all the Image/Releases, and clicking on them goes to that individual post (though I wish it would go direct to the iTunes link, but not possible due to permalink) and once inside the post, you’ll see the small version of the clickable image below, but above that is a large, non-clickable copy of the image which I am assuming is the Featured image, and this is the one I want gone. It doesn’t make sense why it’s there in the first place as it’s just confusing and non-intuitive. Here is a link to the site to see what I mean:

I am using classic Infinite Scroll plugin and trying to find css selectors, but no luck for now. My intention is to load pages as visitor scroll down, so automated loading of new pages without pressing next button.

I have based my all site on Snapshot theme (I allready have created a chid-theme to make some changes), and I am very satisfyed with the result on the pages and galleries.

Now, I was going to set up a single page to be the “blog part” of the site.
I am just finding out now that the standard Snapshot “blog style” does not match my needs…
I did not find any way to set it up, so I am asking here.

I would like the articles to appear one under the other, as in a standard blog with one column instaed of the Snapshot standard layout for articles.

Is there a way I can do that rewritting a part of the theme or with CSS?

I was thinking maby I can copy/paste the part of the CSS of this other theme for the article/blog page properties, but I have no idea of how I can find this part. And I don’t know if it would work…

How does one remove images from posts? I tried some different featured images and they were added to the right side of the post but were not removed when the featured image was. They don’t show up in the post editor. https://www.williamnixonstudios.com/salmon-run/

My client wants to use the Snapshot theme. I almost assumed that a gallery would be built in to the theme, but haven’t found it yet. Is there a gallery built in to the theme? If not, is there a gallery plugin most recommended? I’m inclined to use NextGen Gallery but I’ve seen some conflicts with other themes. Thanks for any advice and help. Hi, I’m not sure if this is a theme question, or a wordpress question… Anyway, I’m trying to remove the left side bar in all my posts. I have no content in them, but there is a very large margin that I’d like to disappear completely, especially when the browser window is narrowed. Right now, when the screen is compressed, the blank sidebar/margin gets a fixed size while the images in the post are pushed off screen.

Hello, I’ve tried dozens of CSS solutions to remove the date, comments and categories icons and text from my posts using the Snapshot wordpress theme, but none of them seem to work with this theme. Perhaps I am doing it wrongly – I am pasting the suggested CSS code into the Edit Themes editor (Appearance -> Editor), eg:

Quick question. I’ve modified the box size to a square (311×311) for the post thumbnails that show up under menu and tags. The text and the hover box is scaled, but I want the background image to scale down to “cover” the area.

Which line of CSS should I apply the “background-image: cover” to? I’ve tried a few lines but still nothing happened.

Hi, I haven’t been using my blog for ages but I just updated it to 4.1 & figured i could use it for posting photos rather than the stuff I have been using it for. So I went looking for a good photography layout.

90% of my posts have photos, in simple ordinary blog posts but I can’t get any of them to show up. I just get black squares as if the text posts were empty of photos. Does it matter how the photos are posted? I just posted a new one but the same result (I was thinking if it had anything to do with not updating the WordPress for long).

Here’s a screenshot of how the layout looks like to me in Chrome. I’ve tried various browsers, emptying cache & anonymous/incognito settings incase it’s my browser. (Win8 laptop)

Does anyone know how to put a 1px black border around all the photos. I want it to be there absolutely on the home page. Past that, thin black border or not, I’m indifferent. But what can I do to force every photo on the homepage to have a 1px black border?

When I add a post, it shows up as a thumbnail of that posts featured image on the homepage. Is there a way to make a page do the same thing (that is, a page will show up as a thumbnail tile on the home page)?

I am working on a site for a client. I have a child theme of Snapshot and I want to change the number of posts per page in our blog (https://trentonvotes.com/category/blog/). Our blog is setup as a category page. I want to change the number of posts on the page to 12. What file would I change to do this and how would I incorporate it into my child theme?

I recently installed Snapshot and I can’t seem to get the featured image to display correctly on the home page (where the tiles link to the individual posts). The images are showing up cropped oddly and only filling about 1/3 of the tile for that post on the home page. I’ve disabled all plugins and tried making a fresh post with a new image, but that didn’t solve the problem.

You can see the problem here. Ignore the fact that most of the posts don’t have featured images – I’m only trying to test this out before fully setting up the site. The top few posts have featured images and you can see that they are not displaying correctly.

I’m trying to get my mosaic gallery to be larger than it’s defaulting to but cannot seem to get it to behave?

The theme seems to auto-shrink mosaic galleries to 400~ pixels but I want it to be larger (and ideally responsive).

I’ve put up two blogs on my site using the snapshot theme and even tough I’ve inserted them once into my post they appear twice, once in a vertical row on the right of the post and then also where I’ve inserted them into the body of the text. I didn’t want them images on the right side of the text can you let me know how to fix this please.

Hello how i could totally remove the latest updates from orbisu of the admin panel or dashboard but i want it totally out; there’s not going to be nothing there only activity and maybe glance widgets on dashboard; I try with screen options and it only removes mines on users keep coming back even try some admin customization plugins and no it keeps coming back. If there’s any way to removed will be appreciate thanks.

I can’t get the home page editor to load. It just keeps on giving me a spinning wheel.

Earlier today I installed a plugin that gave me an events calendar widget. I put the events calendar widget in the grid but it didn’t work. I uninstalled the plugin but accidentally left the widget in the homepage grid during the uninstall. When I went back to the homepage editor to edit the grid afterwards, that’s when I first had the loading issue. I tried uninstalling and re installing the theme.

I am getting the following error “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘grid’ of undefined panels.admin.panels.min.js?ver=1.4.3:15”

Also, when I uninstall the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin, the homepage editor works but won’t support all of my plugins and gives me a message about updating to the latest version of Page Builder. When the plugin is activated the homepage builder won’t load at all as mentioned above. I’ve also tried uninstalling and re installing this plugin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hello, how can I switch off the post thumbnails fading (when mouse over a post in the post-loop, the post picture fades and shows post-information)

I just want to use the instant fading like:

post-info: opacity = 0;
post-info -> mousover: opacity = 1;

Hi, I am trying to remove the text box that appears on the main page slider which appears to display the post title. I’ve looked at the CSS and tried changing home-slider and .gallery-slider to display: none. It is a temporary fix that reverts when the image changes over to another post. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I don’t know why I am struggling with it so much. I am completely unable to figure out how to get the main part of this theme to work for me. I used the easy page builder because I know nothing about programing.
This is my website. I made do with what I knew… hyperlinking an image. But I have no idea how make the images get text to go over top when I hover over them. I’m sure I’m missing some rudimentary step, but would still love some help with it. Thanks ??
