Is it possible to remove the snow flake icons on the front page (for each new post)? I would rather have a picture of the author there. Or at least replace it with an icon more suitable to my brand. How to do that?

Hi. I have my site on Snowfall theme, which I like v. much. When the site displays on a mobile phone, the header image on the static front page is taking up a large amount of space, meaning that the text on the front page isn’t visible unless you scroll down the screen a long way, rendering it user unfriendly. I’d like to change the size of this header image space or delete the space altoghether. I’m not sure where to look in the code for this or how to change it. I want to change the size of the header image only on the front page. Advice on where to find the offending code and what to change it to would be great. Many thanks

I have a website with a static front page. I wanted to add a page at the end on which to put posts, which I’ve called blog. I have set the page for posts as “blog” under Reading/Settings. I managed to add a post to the “blog” page, but a link to the post (including the first few words…)appeared at the top of my homepage with a large snowflake icon above it. I have searched in vain through the forum for a way to get rid of this, but I cannot find one. I have put the post into a category called “blog” as I thought I could then exclude certain categories from my homepage, but that hasn’t worked as I don’t know how to do that, and I tried downloading two plugins that were meant to help but neither worked. I’m not a coder and I could alter small snippets of code if someone tells me exactly what to do, but would prefer a non coding answer… please help. I don’t want any preview of the posts to appear on my homepage ata ll. Thanks in advance.

I can’t seem to find anywhere that I can add a title to my front/home page.
Does this theme not support that without code?

I have two sidebar widgets (images) that are basically direct links to main information on my page.
I can’t seem to display them on the front/home page (it is static).
Under visibility, I have tried to change to show them on front page, and when I do that I actually lose them on every page.
I don’t write code, just a business owner trying to keep up!
Any guidance is appreciated!!

VERY new at all this – but making my way through.
My homepage is static (great), but I would like to have a background image on that page only.
When I add one, it displays on all pages.
When I try to change the template in page attributes of the other pages my only options are:
‘default template’
or
‘full width’
This theme doesn’t even list the front/home page as a page to edit – so I can’t find any option to edit that individually.
I don’t know code.. maybe that’s my problem.. any help would be greatly appreciated!
