I am a rookie with WP… searched a lot but couldnt find the solution to a likely simple problem: How can I switch the appearance of the homescreen from 2-column to single column layout for the posts?

I’d like to modify the copyright state that appears at the bottom of my blog but I do not see it in the stylesheet. How do I modify the copyright statement?

Bullet points appear when I create them on the Edit Post page but they do not appear when the post is previewed or published. Removing “list-style-type: none;” as suggested elsewhere in this forum made no difference.

I like this theme and would like to stick with it but I make extensive use of bullet points when I write. It would be nice to have them work in Social Magazine.

I’m using the theme with the container-fluid class applied and I was wondering how can I make the boxes of the home get wider. Their width is about 240px in wide resolution, how could I make them, for example, 480px? I was trying to find out myself but I couldn’t. Can someone help? By the way, I love the theme. Thanks

I use social magazine on my site, which is quite good. However, I would like to make a suggestion on the boxed block layout view on mobile phones.
I noticed the gap between the boxed block and the end of the screen is 15px, which I think the gap is too much.
I suggest you reduce the gap to 5px, to enable users with smaller screensize better view. Thanks

Please, help! The section ‘Other Articles’ located below the article has a big blank. It looks ugly. Moreover, it doesn’t include images of related posts, but only a list. How can I remove it?

Probably not an issue if you only have 2 menu items, but I have 6 and need that menu to collapse. Instead, menu wraps to 2nd line. Cannot find the CSS to adjust this, so any advice appreciated – thanks.

So instead of categories linking to detail of articles in that category, how to make the category link to also have feed tabs like that of home page?

So I wanted to create category “pages” that displayed all the posts from a certain category into header menu e.g. “News”, “Humor”, etc. The problem arises when I open the page and scroll through it, each post image, headline, and text get wider and wider on the display than the one before it, until the images are HUGE and can’t even fit into the display. It looks ridiculous.

I wonder if anyone knows what’s going on or if you need more info?

my posts currently appear as 1 post per view i.e. 1 on top of each other rather than 2 side by side?

Hi! With the current layout on a laptop or desktop, my posts show in two horizontal columns showing my newest (#1, 2, etc) aligned with older posts (#5, 6, etc) next to each other which visibly confuses the reader. They actually read 5 and 6 before 3 like this:

1 5
2 6
3 7
4 8

I assume this is probably so it looks better on a phone or mobile device.

Is it possible for the theme to recognize the visitor’s device or computer so that it shows in this order instead, this way the latest posts show up and in better order that doesn’t confuse, left to right:

1 2
3 4
5 6
7 8

BTW, absolutely love your theme and this is the only thing that I wish was different or could be changed. Can it be changed on our end or yours?

This theme have own related posts after post.

I won’t use any plugin and I want related post by same author as the post up.

Hey. I have searched and read a lot of edits that can be made to show only excerpts on category pages. For the Social theme I cannot find the “the-post” the-excerpt” entries as described in so many instructions. Can you tell me which part of the theme to edit to get it to show only excerpts on category pages?

I have made sure the settings say show only an excerpt in feed, not full post. Also, I do NOT want to use “read more” tags. I want this to be automatic. Thank you, and sorry if this has been addressed and I accidentally missed it.

How can I edit the code to centre align the Featured Image on the blog? Probably a simple thing but I can’t figure it out and I’m just a beginner ??

Just a suggestion. Why not include a menu option check box so that menus can work on mouse over instead of on click?

I’ve switched to this child style in the wp-admin area.

It displays the main page fine, but the dropdown menus don’t work (they don’t even show the drop down list).

So I’m obviously missing something that I should be including, but I don’t know what.

So thanks again for creating an awesome.

Just a question regarding the displaying of the site title.

So Obviously you give an option to upload a website logo with the website name in it, yet just below The website name gets displayed again.

If you remove it from “site identity” then the site title gets removed as well.

Is there anyway to NOT show the site name on the home below the menu as is the default, but still have the site title be used in all the others like Page titles?

If not, How about editing the text colour without editing CSS? It’s quite easy to edit the other theme colours, but not the Site Title that appears on the home page.

Just a question regarding styling of the footer. Now I have no problem leaving links to you guys, but I need to change the look and feel of the footer. At the very least the text colour. Is there anyway to this without editing CSS?

Since you do make it easy to change theme and background colours it seems weird that editing the look and feel of the footer isn’t as easy.

Is there a way to add an event? Where the event date would be the date shown on the right corner red tab and be listed as an event on the calendar on the event date vs. published date? Thanks!
