I found this discussion from 2 years ago, I tried to make the changes that were reposted, but it didn’t work. The reported change already existed in the function.php file, I changed the width and height but it doesn’t work. I have win 10. version 2.2 of the theme and 6.6.1 of wp in Italian.

Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of setting up a blog in WordPress using the Spice Dark theme.

I set the theme to “boxed” mode and would like to extend the box width but can’t find how/where/if this is possible?!

Additionally, I would like to change to top banner picture (the one with the street and the Christmas tree) and also would like to get rid of the display of the Blog/Post title on the banner picture.

How can I achieve this?

Hello theme team,

my site uses the spicepress pro theme (bought directly from you), and now I am trying to run my german EU site properly for GDPR regulations (trying to run and have google fonts locally on my webserver)

I already found the following thread

and tried to add, edit the php-stuff etc, using the instructions from that thread above. But I am arriving at an empty and non-functional website when I am applying those instructions (scripts, php etc…) But I am not a php developer or expert in php and low-level stuff at all.

Before finding this forum and the above thread, Im am also using the plug-in: “local google fonts” and it worked nicely for all the fonts the website is actively using. Thats fine.

But the your theme (spicepress pro) still does load a lot of fonts, that I am not even actively using and I dont want.

The follwing google-fonts/api checking service shows certain left-overs and GDPR problems (like the thread of my co-poster, see above)

Anyone able to help me sorting this out? Thanks in advance for your help on this issue.

Hi there,

it seems like the theme is loading quite many google fonts via @import, which are not used. Checking what my site is loading reveals three GET queries:

I’ve noticed that while making my site GDPR compliant with plugins like Local Google Fonts or OMGF. They both don’t realize that these fonts are loaded and I don’t know what to do..

I’ve updated to the latest version and the mobile menu doesn’t work. I’m using the child theme but I’ve tried the main theme but it still doesn’t work.
If I click on the menu button the menu shows and disappear suddenly.

Hello,

Icons are missing from the “Back to Top” button and the “Title” button (in the Homepage Section Settings).

It has a blank square box instead of icons and I cannot find a place to change it.

Hi,

I just used the addon web developer, and I realise many tags Hn appear where I don’ t want for example :

– The website Title (cfdt-cha) : H1

– At right, for example “catégories” , I saw a tag H3

– “Accueil” is with a H1 tag

It’ s not good for ranking.

On this page : https://www.cjoint.com/c/LDtvITTV57d, you can see on the orange block a tag H1 (transfert primes points) . How it’ s possible to remove it, and have the same size ?

An other problem : the title of the article is an H3, and it should be an H1.

Can you explain to me how to correct that ?

Good day.

After the last update of the theme, the settings of the blog page (page with entries)broke: now they are displayed as a long column without any formatting and the ability to change the template. This column goes to the menu and goes to the basement. The text is displayed poorly. Before the update, this page with entries looked standard: the text was the entire width of the page, each new entry was placed at the very top.
How do I get my blog settings back?

Hello, the problem is that when I publish a post, it appears on the main page as full content and not a short headline and photo.

I have the latest version of the free SpicePress theme and latest version of the wordpress.

I tried the solution that shared on https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/article-on-the-homepage-unabridged/ but it didn’t solve my problem.

buongiorno, all’improvviso ho trovato il sito con l’homepage spaginata, le altre pagine mi sembrano funzionare bene, potrebbe essere successo per un aggiornamento del tema o di qualche plugin? non so prorpio dove mettere le mani. Se qualcuno potesse aiutarmi…ah ho aggiornato il php come mi veniva richiesto ma non credo sia quello…

Dear Support,
how can I change the copyright text in the footer right at the bottom?
I’ve changed the text previously via the customizer but now the option seems to be missing. Maybe it was removed by an update? I’ve got the latest version (1.9.5).
Is it possible to maybe change it in the theme-editor somewhere?
(I’m sorry, that I can not provide the URL because the site is still under maintenance while building the website.)

Missing closing style tag in custom-style.php

The theme file located at functions/scripts/custom_style.php is missing a closing tag. Result is a bunch of meta tags in the head can’t be parsed including the title.

Could you please update the theme, so any future updates won’t break our sites again?

Slider image fit on mobile view

Dear SpicePress Support,

is it possible to configure the fit of the slider image, espacially on mobile view?
I already checked the post about how to set the slider heigth manually (using custom css) but that doesn’t solve the issue.

I want my slider image to be shown in total when on mobile view, i.e. fit to the page’s width. With the standard configuration the slider images gets streched ove the width of the page and only the middle 20% of the image are shown. That doesn’t look good.
Are there any custom css phrases that I can try?

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have a problem with your SpicePress PRO theme, especially with the Service content in Service Settings in the Customizer. There, settings can no longer be made. In detail: “Title”, “Description”, “Open link in new tab” and “add new service” are not changeable. In addition, the fields “Image Delete” and “Design Style” are missing.
Only the Service section settings for “Enable services on Home Page”, “Titel” and “Description” can be changed.

I use SpicePress PRO Child Theme (1.0), SpicePress PRO Theme (2.8), SpiceBox (1.3.5), WordPress 5.7.2 and PHP 7.4.

Please help me to get the settings back.
