I’m new to wordpress and I have a domain name on godaddy and just registered with bluehost and would like to start a blog on wordpress. Where do I go to get started from this point

I’ve tried suggestions from several online help sites to hide category and tag links on all posts and pages, but nothing has worked.

I’m assuming that something custom must be needed and I’m hoping you can provide the appropriate css code to use.

The search widget is causing an error on submit

Hello,

there is a problem with the search script […]/start-blogging/template-parts/content-search.php.

Submitting the search box included as a widget in the right sidebar the following error message appears:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function start_blogging_custom_excerpts() in […]/themes/start-blogging/template-parts/content-search.php on line 32

I think the problem is in line 61 where the script is calling the function mentioned in the error message.

Please note that I fixed it temporary on my website – no error occurs there at the moment.
I have replaced the necessary lines out and replaced it with the WordPress function the_excerpt();.
But I think this should be just a temporary solution. With the next update of your theme I have to fix it again.

Would you be so kind to check this issue?

Social icon for 500px is not the correct one

Hello,

I want to add a link to 500px with the 500px icon in the Top Social Menu.

Current situation:
a gear is visible (like a setting icon) in the Top Social Menu

Should be situation:
show the 500px icon like https://fontawesome.io/icon/500px/

What I have tried:
I put in the Individual link the additional class setting “fa fa-500px”.
The result were both icons – the gear and the 500px.

What can I do to get the correct icon?

An Issue With My Theme

I just recently switched my theme to “Start Blogging”, but started getting those warnings that say ‘Warning: Header Already sent to…’.

My host checked it out and was able to fix it by switching the theme. He says that there’s most likely a problem with that specific theme and that I should let the developer know.

Is there a way to contact the developer of the theme “start blogging” so that it can be fixed?
