Our web site using the Genesis theme by StudioPress is showing
over 100 Rich Snippet Errors when scanned with the Google Webmaster’s
Rich Snippet Testing tool. The errors are of the hatom nature, specifically:
“Missing required hCard “author” “
There is a similar error pertaining to the “date_updated” hatom value.
Initially we thought that the problem was caused by Yoast SEO which
installs Open Graph and Microdata semantic coding. Yoast replied to us that this particular theme was causing so much trouble that Yoast had to post a correction to the StudioPress theme coding on Yoast’s site.

When we asked Studio Press for help to correct THEIR problem, they told us Google’s Rich Snippet Tool is wrong. Then they told us to look to their FORUM
for help, even though we PAID for their theme and support.
