Hello,
I have a one pager and a woocommerce page that are translated in three languges. This issue is related to the french page.
When I am on the French front page and click on the little account icon, the page I’d like to be redirected to is the French account page. Instead, I am redirected to the English account page.
I have added the correct extension to the icon in WPML string translations.
The strange thing is that when I am in the WP Preview mode and click on the account icon I am redirected to the French account page…
Can you help me?
Please note, I am no a developper and WP is all new to me so, I appreciate an easy to understand response ??
Thank you very much in advance!
Linda

Hi!
WP latest (6.6.1). Theme named “Total”. If you go to you’ll see this page wide image and below it the header “home”.
From start, the header sat above the image. I wanted it below (as it is now). For a quick fix, I simply made the container “relative” with the image as background and a set height to 33vh, then set the header as absolute at the bottom. Since that was kind of a cheating hack, I aimed to properly fix it eventually.
Which I have tried now to no avail. So obviously, I’m doing something wrong, not understanding how WP works.
Have moved the header text codes of container and h1 (incl php) to the place I want it in file wp-content -> themes -> total -> inc -> hooks -> single.php (as this was only file I found containing relevant code) and saved. But when viewing site, it remains as before. As does source code.
Have emptied all caches in WP and browsers, even checked database to see if old code was saved there. No go.
Can someone please tell me what mistakes I make?
(Oh, I know updating the theme will override my edits. But I won’t update as long as it works and have hence deactivated all update notifications. I’m old school) ??
Cheers,
Dan
Hi, I am relatively new to the TOTAL theme and have inherited a site created in it.
This post is meant to be served to museum visitors through on-site QR codes.
The plugin in WPBakery Page Builder is also installed. When I create a post I can use the the Theme metabox to remove certain elements.
However I cannot find out where the element containing ‘News’ comes from above the body text. This does appear on other posts as well see; e.g. https://nottinghamindustrialmuseum.org.uk/steampunkalia-returns/
There are no ‘My Templates’ applied as far as I can see on the post using. no Dynamic templates, and no ‘Default template for post types ‘. On looking at Dynamic templates I can see this which may be relevant.
How do I get rid of it or chnage it? Thanks
Greetings,
Just came across this theme and liking it so far. A problem encountered though when trying to add Featured Image – it doesn’t show on front-end page. Editor shows it though in the sidebar.
Also, when editing Shop page and selecting left-side menu, it still shows on the right in the front-end page.

Thanks.
I have someone redoing my site for me, and she uses Elementor. She basically copied everything onto staging, and started editing existing WPBakery content pages directly into Elementor. As a result, the database is now corrupted with leftover from WPBakery/Total theme.
Any suggestions?
I’ve been told by Klarna I have to add their integrated on-site messaging, but im struggling to work out how to do it. Where do I put these codes on my site please?
Step 1. Add installation code
Web SDK
Mobile Apps
E-Commerce Platform
Add the code to your website right after opening the body tag. We recommend adding the code to all pages of your site. The code only needs to be added once per page.Note: Adding the script through a tag manager is not supported.
You need to add web SDK only once, if you installed Express checkout before, skip step 1. and go directly to the step 2.
1
Copy to clipboard
Update your installation code to the new Web SDK if your site's On-site Messaging was set up prior to January 2024.
Step 2. Add placements on your website
If you're using Web SDK or E-commerce platforms, go to the Placement page, find the placement, and add the code to your website where you want it to appear. Check out our Best Practices for guidelines and inspiration. For more customizations to the appearance of the placement, it's recommended to use CSS styling, see our CSS styling guide. However, if you don't have access to the source code of your website, you can still make some customizations using the Merchant Portal, see the Placements page.

Hi Everyone,
Using the Total theme and WooCommerce.
Total has an element called WooCommerce Template Part. I’m using this to re-style the single product page (the page that is displayed when someone clicks on a product).
The step by step instructions are here: https://total.wpexplorer.com/docs/woocommerce-single-product-template/
They are pretty easy to follow, yet, when I do this, nothing is displayed, at all. Just a blank page. I’m guessing that I might be missing something, a setting perhaps.
Is there anyone that could possible shed some light on this? Your help is very much appreciated.
Cheers!!
Hello,

After PHP version upgrade from 7.4 to 8.0 and 8.1, I got these errors on my web site.
Warning: The magic method WPEX_Image_Resize::__wakeup() must have public visibility in?C:\xampp\htdocs\myfolder\wp-content\themes\Total\framework\classes\image-resize.php?on line?34
Even if I manually change this file, it’ll be gone when I update the plugin again right?
How to solve this issue?
Hello.
Using Total for a woocommerce site, it happens that in product pages there’re two different H1 tags:
– the first before the breadcrumb, like this:
h1 class=”ht-main-header”)(div class=”ht-container)(h1 class=ht-main-title”)Shop(/h1)
How to remove the first one?
When a user adds an article into the basket, the default quantity is undefined: so the user later is forced to select “1” (or other quantity, up to 10) from the drop-down menu… because the default value is “null”
And this is quite annoying, and not intuitive (there’s nothing near the quant drop-down menu that suggests it’s the required quantity… to the user needs to guess he needs to specify the quantity).
So, the question is: how can I define the default quantity from “null” to “1”?
I had hosting company update the PHP on my website.
Among other issues this caused the home page to break. The ‘homepage’ seems to consist of two or three separate ‘pages’ (is that right?) The page that has the big image that goes right across the top of the home page has disappeared.
I can create another page but how do I make the image go right across the page and how do I integrate it with the existing home page?
Also the image used to have text which descended down from above when opening the page – how do I do that?
Sorry if I sound like i Know nothing but it is three years since I cobbled this together and I can’t remember how I did it.
Thanks in advance
Paul

On the blog page how do we display the excerpt rather than the post?

My site broke when I upgraded the Slider Revolution pluggin with the Total theme. My ISP says it is something to do with Visual Composer. I also need to update the following pluggins, Templatera and WPBakery Page Builder, but they fail to load.
Any suggestions to fix this would be most welcome. I pay for support for this theme.

Hi,
our site has started showing the left side large text mobile menu on Single Blog posts. No other pages are affected, just individual posts.
Affects Windows Chromium browsers (eg, Edge and Chrome). This does not occur in Windows Firefox. Have not tested other operating systems.
From a mobile device it still works fine.
Theme version is Total 5.3.1. All dependent plugins are up to date.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hi, I’m a newbie so please be gracious. I had not checked my site in a few months and now I see an error in my homepage section: “You can not choose the page that is set as the Homepage in Settings > Reading. Please choose another Page.”
When I navigate to that page in my Pages section of the Dashboard, and click Edit, it appears fine.
What do I have set up wrong? It used to work fine. Thanks!
