Hello, my site has a custom page color that matches the sidebar at left. At present, I’ve done a rollback to Gutenberg 17.82, which doesn’t cause any problem with page colors. But when I update to 17.9 or 18.0, the problem with page colors occurs. I already have custom CSS written that should take care of the custom color, but somehow Gutenberg seems to be preventing this code from working. If you have an idea of how to fix this issue, I would appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance. And by the way, I use a child theme for 2015.
]]>Hi!
When I search on google for my site, google shows a headline from an old widget that isn’t there anymore, and content from another widget that still is ther. When I follow the link I reach the start page but I obviously want google to show info from my start-page and not the widgets. It’s like google retrieves the information from the widgets instead of the actual contents.
Any idea of what could cause this?

]]>What image sizes are actually used and/or created by the Twenty Fifteen theme?
I am using the Classic Editor, does this make a difference?
My reason for asking is that I want to reduce unnecessary disk space usage by stopping the creation of multiple thumbnail sizes upon image upload that will never actually be used by means of plugins like Stop Generating Unnecessary Thumbnails by Codexpert or Disable Media Sizes by Jeff Starr.
Any known conflicts between these plugins and Twenty Fifteen?
Thank you!

]]>I’m using Twenty Fifteen child theme. I tried to remove underlines from the links by using this css: a {text-decoration: none;} but it’s not working.
Another problem is, the last word of the line not going to the next line. Some characters stay in the line and there comes a hyphen. And then rest characters goes to the next line. I tried many ways to text wrapping.
After changing in CSS, I clear the browser and website cache. Even I waited 24 hours. But no changes. Please help me to solve both problems.
I attached a screenshot to showing the both underline and wrapping problem to understand clearly.

]]>I love Twenty Fifteen, but Hostinger claims it is causing problems with my 12 websites. They want me to change themes. Is anyone aware of any actual problems with Twenty Fifteen and WordPress 6.4.1?
]]>Hello. I’ve noticed today that, using the Twenty Fifteen theme in the AMP version of my website, the top menu and the “Previous” and “Next” buttons at the bottom of my articles are suddenly displaying incorrectly. The top menu in particular is broken. Author bio has also disappeared. I very recently updated to the newest version of WordPress (6.4.1), so I imagine it has to do with that. To my knowledge, I have never attempted to directly customize the Twenty Fifteen theme, so I don’t believe I’ve done anything that would affect the CSS. I’m honestly not technically inclined, so I’m not sure what to do about this new problem with the Twenty Fifteen theme. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

I try to show my menu into a page, using the shortcode: [listmenu menu=NameOfTheMeu] …and didn’t work.
Then I try to show posts from a certan category, using shortcode: [display-posts category=”16″] (where 16 is Category’s ID) …and didn’t work.
Am I doing something wrong or my Wp 6.3.1 doesn’t like the clean Twenty Fifteen theme?

]]>Hi, Kathryn P:
In your last response to my prior thread about the affect of Infinite Scroll on Twenty Fifteen, you recommended possibly trying Infinite Scroll rather than reducing the number of posts shown on my homepage.
Since I’m trying to increase the homepage speed, wouldn’t using Infinite Scroll be counterproductive? Seems like Infinite Scroll would simply increase the size of my homepage even more, slowing it down even further. What am I missing?

does not display as an alphabetical list, can this be fixed?
]]>Hello, TwentyFifteen support:
I’m trying to fix page speed issues on my blog, and have had ShortPixel take a look at the problem. One of the highest priority issues they flag is the following:
“Your homepage: It loads more than 400 images and an extremely large number of posts at the same time. Even the most powerful server will have trouble handling this. I strongly recommend that you paginate your list of posts to a maximum of a few posts per page, and do not load the entire post content on the home page, just the excerpt.”
I’m interpreting this to be referring to TwentyFifteen’s infinite scroll feature of the homepage, which was loading a total of 10 posts including the current lead post at the time ShortPixel had a look.
I’m aware that it’s possible to adjust the number of posts displayed by infinite scroll, but does TwentyFifteen have any way to display only excerpts instead of complete posts? If so, how do I do that? I’m not seeing any way to accomplish this.
Ideally, I’d still like to display the full current lead post, but only excerpts for the infinite scroll posts that follow.
Thank you!
]]>We are working on a site not of our own making that uses a Twenty Fifteen Child theme. We created forms with Forminator Pro. The users are having a problem when using JAWS screen readers. One of the form questions just repeats and they cannot tab through the form. We’ve contacted WPMU DEV/Forminator and they have no fix yet. Any suggestions? Thank you!
]]>On Page Speed Insights I’m seeing that my site can save 0.93 seconds by preloading the largest contentful paint image. I understand that this likely means that the featured image I’ve selected for display at the top of each post using the TwentyFifteen theme is being lazy-loaded, and therefore delayed.
I’ve found a plugin called Preload Featured Images by WPZOOM that claims to correct this issue that I’d like to try out. However, the plugin’s documentation states:
“The plugin supports all themes, but it’s very important to choose the right Image Size on the settings page.
If you are not sure which is the image size used by your theme, simply get in touch with your theme’s developer and they will be able to help you with that.”
So my question is, what is the correct image size that I should use for this setting in the Preload Featured Images plugin for the TwentyFifteen theme? Are you aware of any reasons to NOT use this plugin?
This brings up a more general question on the best image size to be uploaded to the media library for use with the TwentyFifteen theme. Images are currently being automatically scaled to 2560 x 1920 pixels, but is this larger than needed for TwentyFifteen, or the best setting to use?
I know that I need to use an image optimizer to go back and resize old images of all kinds of sizes (7+ MB!) that were never scaled or optimized that are currently in the media library. What is the ideal image size that I ought to specify in a plugin like Short Pixel Image Optimizer or Smush?
Thank you!

]]>I run my site in Dutch, and there are two translation mistakes to do with the comments in the twentyfifteen theme that affect me negatively, because 1) people think I made the mistakes, and my site is about language, so that’s a problem! and 2) “leave a reply” has been translated as “ask a question”, leaving people thinking that if they have a comment, but not a question, they should not comment.
Could you change these two things:
“Geeft een reactie” (visible when the comment section is closed; “leave a comment” in the English version) should be “Geef een reactie” (so remove the “t”)
“Stel een vraag” (visible when the comment section is open; “Leave a Reply” in the English version) should be the same “Geef een reactie”.
I am a translator and am quite willing to look over the EN>NL translation as a whole, if you like.
]]>Since the recent TwentyFifteen theme update, I suddenly have an issue with the wrong image size being inserted into the visual editor when using the Classic Editor plug-in. Before the update, full size (2560×1920) images were automatically inserted from the media library, filling the entire column width. For some reason, medium size (300×225) images are now being inserted instead, filling less than half of the column width. This problem in the visual editor carries through to previews and the final product. Note: The “featured image” appearing at the top of each post is an exception, and does NOT exhibit this problem.
It’s possible to edit the images to be full size again after being inserted, but this is clumsy and time-consuming, and was never necessary before.
Tried deactivating all plug-ins other than Classic Editor, but that didn’t help. Switching browsers makes no difference. When Classic Editor is deactivated, image sizes appropriate for the size of the block selected are inserted using the Gutenberg (block) editor.
Site is on a shared server through Bluehost. Running TwentyFifteen theme, PHP version 7.3, and the following plug-ins in addition to Classic Editor: WP Edit, Really Simple SSL, Jetpack, Akismet Anti-Spam. All plug-ins and WordPress are fully updated. (There have been numerous updates of late.)
Seems like this issue might arise due to some default setting change within the TwentyFifteen theme? How do I fix this? Please help!
]]>The Tventy Fifteen Theme do not work whit the gtranslate plugin. I got problems on my site. I got in contact whit Gtranslate custemore service and they asked if i could give the message to the theme support as i did here. Hope it get fixed..
Sindre.
Hi,
Hope this message finds you well.
1) Unfortunately, GTranslate Language Selector will not function on AMP pages, since it requires a lot of JavaScript libraries to function, and they are disabled in AMP mode. Thus, the GTranslate Language Selector cannot function on AMP pages.
If the AMP plugin offers functionality to disable scripts, you can add the problematic script in there.
2) I have seen layout issues on translated version:
The issue is fixed now:
I can see texts are not translated.
Texts are written inside HTML tags, our system can not translate content written inside
tags.
The tag is used to insert variables, fragments of program code, etc. into an HTML document.
Can you please ask your theme developers to put them in other tags?
It can be a div, p, span, etc.
Thanks
]]>I just built my first WP site in WP 5.9.3 and launched it today. All is well. BUT I had an issue pop up before I finished building it, that is still in place when I am working in my test/staging site. I add a new page, insert a paragraph block, and change the colors for the text and background – as I’ve done successfully on all the existing pages on my site. The text I change it to is a rust color (dd9933) and the background a dark grey, and it shows up just fine while I’m editing. But when I UPDATE the page and then go to VIEW the page, the text is a grey just barely lighter than the grey background, but visible. NO RUST color. This is my first forum topic posting/question, so please bear with me if I haven’t provided everything needed to help me. Please Help Me! Thanks.

]]>Thank you for a great theme. But can you please give me some help with two questions:
I really missing:
Now it looks like this.
The icons for vk.com, patreon.com and for buymeacoffee.com are the same default. Twenty Fifteen doesn’t have any special icons for them.
I tried to add something in my child theme but I didn’t find any ways for that.
I read https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/twenty-fifteen/ . It lists the supported social media. But are there any ways to add some new?
]]>My brain might just be addled from trying to comb the CSS and use Safari’s web inspector, but for the life of me I can’t find where these last couple of borders in Twenty Fifteen are coming from.
I stripped the theme down to all white so you can see the borders along the sidebar and around the main content.
Anyone know what or where the CSS for these borders happens to be?
Thanks.
Apologies for stupidity of question, but I don’t want to make a mistake. I am being advised that there is an update to 3.1: The following themes have new versions available. Check the ones you want to update and then click “Update Themes”.
Please Note: Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost. Please consider using child themes for modifications.
I don’t understand what it means by ‘any customisations to theme files will be lost’ and that I should consider using child themes for modification. Is it safe for me to update or will I lose my files, layout or appearance?
