I’ve used this theme for approximately seven years now for a blog site and its extremely easy to use and extend. I wouldn’t use another theme, and I cringe thinking about having to design another site with a different theme.

Great theme to use in combination with advanced features and functionality as it enables a lot of content space and does not conflict with custom feature CSS.

There’s an issue with 2016 where it will show post addresses but is a continuous loop and unable to show the main page in FireFox or Chrome. And the theme creators literally do not care if it’s broke or not.

Hello, there is a missing translation for “leave a comment”, “Edit” and “continue reading” for the Dutch language (and probably for other languages too).
Leave a comment should be: “Een reactie achterlaten“.

I found this theme very good for a basic theme. It’s epic to build what you want on it.
But next time dear developers, when you do a new theme. Don’t you ever use one font-family at 30 different places!!! What pig was writing that? That’s not how you do that. This is not the way you do stuff. And other little ugly things like that. Please do it simple and fast. This ugly think can be done by everyone by himself.

The choice of the black ‘frame’ around the whole page, no matter what page you’re on, I mean …
How infuriating.
Even if the color is set to white in the Theme Options , the frame remains, pushing EVERYTHING around, like an elephant in a china store.
What’s infuriating is that this is ALMOST a good theme. It would have a nice clean sidebar, and there is a number of things I like about it.
Trying to get rid of the ‘frame’, I found several methods, posted here.
And fiddling with the incomprehensible code that’s supposed to ‘fix’ this, I managed to get rid of it, but did I … ?
Here is the code ( the culprit ) , that apparently is to blame for the offending ‘black frame’ :

} The ‘body:not’ pseudo-selector is exotic enough, and in my many years of web design, I’ve seen it used only a handful of times.
But I’ve never seen a pseudo selector on a pseudo selector :
body:not(.custom-background-image):after
and I wonder if there is ANYONE ON THIS PLANET, other than the genius who designed this theme, that actually understands what this does, together with the rest of that style rule.
If the default WordPress themes are supposed to be the model and a point of reference of how themes should be put together, this theme fails miserably.
I found that trying to customize this theme is quite a nightmare.
Is designing an approachable, fast and visually simple theme with one sidebar really too much to ask of the WordPress developers ?

It seems to be a pretty standard theme, which fits my purposes and probably everyone else’s.
It doesn’t do anything particularly fancy but gets the job done.
Why just three stars then? Because it requires some HTML knowledge to get started, which may be very confusing for some people. It’s just not usable with the border around the edges and takes a little while to get rid of it without breaking everything.
