I see that version 4.2 of Twenty Ten dropped a few days ago. I went to the changelog ( https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Twenty_Ten_Theme_Changelog ) to see what was updated and consider how it might affect my client’s site. The last update notes on the changelog are from v 4.0 (nothing for 4.1 or 4.2). Anyone have info on what was updated?
]]>Hi, a very nice shows me how increase the theme from 940px to 1200px, it was necessary to add some ows in CSS:

But one problem remain:
Internally 2010 works further on with 940x198px, so the header is stretched to 1200×250 and it looks not really sharp:
How and where can I change this????
How or with which plugin can I toggle the sidebar in POSTS on and off, not generally, but for each post I want???

Hi. I’m still trying to find a blog that uses the classic header/right sidebar theme, and twenty ten seems to be the only one I can find. I’m having issues with the archive though. Images/youtube videos won’t show on archives, only when you open a post. It’s problematic as many of my posts are image heavy. Also it seems to completely disregard the [more] tag and chops off posts at about 2.5 lines long. Is there a way to fix this? If not, are there any similar themes that can give me the same classic blog layout?
]]>I’m running v3.7 and encounter the following problem: on a smartphone (android 7.11, display 1280×720 px) the right column is – as expected relocated to after the main column instead of side by side.
However, in portrait mode, the text width exceeds the display width clearly. When I rotate the phone device to landscape orientation, all is well. When I return to portrait again, all is well too!
Could anybody say whether it is a bug or not?

I have the X icon in the expanded mobile menu over the menu. It is fixed on the same place as the icon. How can I replace or better remove the X icon in the expanded menu but leave the icon itself where it is. (to use the push menu does not work to swipe over te site pages) I tried several CSS codes from this forum but no results. –WP 6.1.1 / twenty ten theme/plugin WP mobile response free version (before I buy I need to know if it works)

]]>I have an old version of the 2010 theme installed, probably the oldest, i think its version 1.0 or something like that.
I recently noticed comments stopped being displayed on the site, and im guessing its due to the theme being out of date. i understand i could update the theme to rectify this, but i think i may have made some manual customisations to the theme files, (a very long time ago) so am weary of updating as i will most likely lose those customisations.
Is there any way i can do a diff of the original 2010 theme files, to see what changes i have made to the files, so it will make it easier to migrate the changes to the newer versions of the files?
also is there anyway to find out the exact version number of the theme i have installed, so i can find a corresponding unaltered copy of the original theme files, so i can see what changes i have made.

I’m new to this and I’m trying to customize my theme for the 1st time. I did a casual search in the css and poked around in the customization and appearance areas but I couldn’t find any thing that I though would address my problem. Maybe I don’t know the terminology well enough
1. I want to get rid of where it shows my email address on every post. I’d rather it not be on there anywhere at all.
2. In this theme (Twenty Ten), it shows a nice little thumbnail in the gallery type post. But it shows “This gallery contains 2 photos.” The words “2 photos” is linked to open up the post. But there are not 2 photos in there. I’d like to change it to something more accurate, such as “See more”.

]]>This contact form is in the primary widget area, on the right side of the page. When first loaded, the labels appeared above the fields just fine, but now they are gone. The “Browse” and “Send” buttons appear, but no other text.
The labels have apparently generated OK and are still active. They do appear when I preview the page in other themes with a primary widget space, where this contact form is loaded. They also appeared before I messed with some other stuff. But now they don’t.
I set the fonts to default for now, to make sure I had not created a conflict in the typography settings; still no joy.

Ordinarily I’d do that using Customize, but the footer doesn’t seem to allow for that. The Footer Widgets don’t help, since there are four widget columns in the footer, and my text is too long for a single widget column.

I’m having trouble getting the font face, color, and size consistent and attractive. The theme has “typography support,” which is very frustrating and useless to me because I cannot get the fonts the way I want–the way I could with html. The support is 6 headings settings and a paragraph setting. It also says “You can create additional customizer font controls on the admin settings screen,” but I have been unable to figure out what this means or access anything useful.
At the bottom of the editable page there is sometimes an Edit link, but when you click this, it just shows the 6 headings settings and a paragraph setting in a menu.
What is the secret to controlling the font face, color, and size for individual paragraphs?

I’ve been using this theme for over 10 years in my classroom, and now suddenly I can’t see the comments anymore. My students can make comments, but they can’t see each other’s, and no one logged into the site can see them. I had to temporarily update to Twenty Eleven, but I hate the way it looks, as I designed my site for Twenty Ten. Is there any fix for this?

So, version 3.5 of the “Twenty Ten” theme has been released and I’m leery about installing it, given the version 3.4 fiasco. Does anyone know when the changelog will be available? The changelog at the “Codex” site shows changes up to version 3.4.
