In Firefox 120.0.1 on two different machines, I’m getting the following error in Console:
downloadable font: rejected by sanitizer (font-family: "Genericons" style:normal weight:400 stretch:100 src index:0) source: https://thedomain.com/wp-content/themes/twentythirteen/genericons/font/genericons-regular-webfont.eot
I’ve verified that the path to the file is correct, and, according to the file command on the server, the mime-type is:
$ file --mime-type genericons-regular-webfont.eot
genericons-regular-webfont.eot: application/vnd.ms-fontobject
That seems to be the correct mime-type for the EOT file according to this article.
Any idea how to fix this error?
Hello,
After upgrading to the latest version of the Twentythirteen template I suddenly started getting ERR_ABORTED 404 (Not Found) on all woff2 files for some reason while loading the Source Sans Pro and Bitter font files. And it makes the site slower than usual as well.
The MIME types look okay for the server (I’ve tried different types), the woff files are still loading as they should and the woff2 files are there if I check through the file manager. I’ve tried disabling my cache plugin and going through .htaccess and so on but I can’t figure out what the problem is here.
Anyone have an idea how to solve this before I start removing the font?

For instance, this URL https://brotherjacques.com/blog/ which works perfectly on the desktop version, becomes https://brotherjacques.comblog/ in the mobile menu.

Hello! Our site is using a child theme based on Twenty Thirteen. We recently updated the Twenty Thirteen theme from a much older version, as well as the WordPress version.
After these updates, we noticed that the comments are no longer shown on the post page. The post still shows “X responses to (post title)”, but with no comments below.
All comments are still in the site backend, so we assume they are still there.
Any clues on why that could happen or what we could try?
Thanks in advance!
I just posted this in the “Fixing WordPress” forum, but not sure if I’m able to move it to this forum or of this forum is the correct location for this question – so apologies in advance if I should not be re-posting this here.
I recently updated the Twenty Thirteen theme on a self-hosted WordPress installation to v3.7, and in doing so accidentally lost changes I had made to the footer. I think I had previously implemented these changes by editing the footer.php file (under wp-content/themes/twentythirteen), but when I tried to mimic these edits in the footer.php now, the changes aren’t showing up on the website. Am I doing something wrong? Did WordPress change how the footer works in the current version of the theme? Any help is greatly appreciated – thanks!

1. How can I get the size option for the fields to work?

3. How can I remove the indent before the checkbox?
I have been working on this for days and nights, and hope now, somebody can give me the answers as a christmas present.
Many thanks in advance.

I would like to make this change on the other pages too, however I was told in another forum that “since there is a rule for .entry-content {max-width: 604px} then it won’t do anything. (the parent is narrower)”.
They directed me to you. Can you help me?
Dear Forum,
Started a static www.ads-software.com pages site in 2013, with the Twenty Thirteen theme (referred to as ‘2013’ from here on) ; have upgraded WordPress and theme as and when updates showed up in the dashboard – hence currently WP 5.6 and 2013 v3.2; have also got Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates inside the cPanel / Softaculous environment provided by the webhost; have used Better Search Replace as advised in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-move-a-wordpress-site-from-http-to-https/ , found some 200 instances were updated, and most importantly : site loads – well sort of … [edit : instanses > instances]
Problem : when approaching the https:// version the header image – be it one of the three images included with the 2013 theme, or one of the dozen or so pics added later – will display, but when approaching the https:// version the 2013 theme and the header pics are absent …
Question : what did I overlook in following the wordpress support topic referred to above, please? ELI5! (‘Please explain it like I’m five years old’ : may (or not) be clever enough, but certainly lack formal training in subject), given that although I do edit OpenStreetMap, and have learned to use AutoCad (started work with slide rule and Rotring drawing pens … ) I’m not necessarily up to speed on what goes on behind the skin of software.
Looking forward, met vriendelijke groet (Dutch for ‘with friendly greeting),

Below is a link to a screenshot of the homepage with two examples of this hyphenation. In some cases, I’m seeing that the hyphenation is extremely awkward (like ther- apy and se- rious) so I’m hoping to get rid of line-caused hyphenation altogether. Is there a way to do this?
https://www.musicinnotes.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Screenshot_20200717-163437__01.jpg
I can’t tell if the hyphenation is being caused by the Twenty Thirteen theme itself, the AMP plugin, or something else. Advice appreciated. Thank you.

and the relevant bit of the line is this:
src='<?php echo esc_url( get_theme_mod( ‘themeslug_logo’ ) ); ?>’
But how do I get this to refer to a different .JPG file? I can hard code it to something like:
src=https://www.rl21.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/website-logo.png’ alt='<?
But this is clearly not the correct way to do it, and also it is slow in that the logo appears after a very noticeable delay.
Any ideas? Apologies for such a newbie question, I have done a lot of C/C++ but not much else!
Hello,
To start, my WP website is running fine and I have Update 5.3.2 installed. I have the current Twenty Thirteen theme running.
The issue is that the website has a very outdated plugin: Exclude or include Pages, Tags, Posts & Categories (integrate with WiziApp). It allows a check box to tick if you want to exclude a specific page from the Menu bar. As the plugin is outdated it has been recommended that I deactivate and delete it from the website for safety, security purposes.
My issue is that I have no other plugin to replace it with and if I delete it, pages I do not want on the Menu will then appear. ie; forms. I have tested it on a staging website to confirm the case.
I looked online and found a link on how to edit sidebar code to exclude ID pages from the theme editor however I do not see the code there. Sample: <?php wp_list_pages();?>
The greengeeks link I was visiting which provided this info is: https://www.greengeeks.ca/tutorials/article/exclude-pages-from-wordpress-menus/
So, I am contacting you to see if you can tell me where in the Theme Editor this wp_list_pages may be and if I should edit it to include the ID pages I do not want to show on our website Menu. Or, if you have another suggestion to solve this problem? I am not an expert with coding and have learnt as I went with the website over the past 5 years so my skills are limited.
Thanks for you help.

I’m trying to modify the post category display so that the thumbnail image floats to the left of the title and summary. If you follow the link above, you’ll see how the thumbnail sits on top of the title. I want it to float to the left and have the title and summary wrap around to the right.
Any suggestions? I’m stumped.
The div that holds the image is set to float left, which it does, but the title and summary aren’t wrapping to the right.

hi
i use from Twenty Thirteen theme

I use the code for connection child css from the codex
<?php

function my_theme_enqueue_styles() {
$parent_style = 'parent-style'; // This is 'twentyfifteen-style' for the Twenty Fifteen theme.

wp_enqueue_style( 'child-style',
get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/style.css',
array( $parent_style ),
wp_get_theme()->get('Version')
);
}
But css loading twice

and

How can I fix it?
The customization colors in the editor, in phone preview mode, make sense, but when published and viewed on iPhone 5s are completely different.
On 5s the colors are all different, and subnav items are invisible but there (must be same color as menu background.)
Does 5s’s narrow size trigger a whole different css, and if so, any custom css I can put in to address just that case? Just subnav element is an issue at the moment.
(I’d change to Twenty Nineteen, but layout and colors highly unworkable at first glance of preview. Strange as the site is very basic, menus not complicated.)
Hi,
I run twentythirteen and got an email from a reader that had the textarea show up with black text on a dark background. He writes:
(see attached screenshot, Firefox).
This usually happens when you only set either background or foreground
color, but not both.
Looks like this is the culprit:
input, textarea {
color: #141412;
}
– style.css L578
If you add, say, background-color: white; it should be fine on both light
and dark themes.
– end of quote –
Looks like that would be a fairly simple change?

Hi All.
I have a child theme based on Twenty Thirteen which is working fine.
I want to implement a “function” like it is in Twenty Seventeen.
Here the header image will not scroll up when scrolling the whole page but the content below the image will just go over it. Know what i mean?
However i can’t figure out how this is done.
I tried some CSS hacks but i’m not happy with them as – as far as i’ve seen – all hacks are “loading” the image file in the style.css. But i want to have this function with the enabled / choosen header image, nevertheless what the filename is.
And i don’t want to install a plugin for this.
And by the way none of the named hacks are doing everything right. More or less some strange things happen then like widget area below of the content and so one.
Any hint would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Kai
