A step forward. Flexible to work with. “Transitionable” enough. And far from ideal as the all wp’s default themes.

I saw some of the other reviews where others didn’t seem happy with this theme. Some people said it was too simple. In my opinion, that is exactly why this theme is so great. Because it is so simple, it easy to build a complicated layout from scratch with it. All you do is copy the blocks that hold the main part of what makes the layout function, and put those blocks in a new design you have made.
I am no WordPress guru, and definitely not an expert, but let my website (shameless plug coming) at ziine.co be the example you need if you feel like this simple Twenty Twenty Three theme isn’t up to the standards of making the website of your dreams.
I believe all the negative comments about this theme have come from people who have not taken the time to learn Gutenburg and how all the blocks work together, or they just don’t have imagination.
In almost no time, I transformed this theme into a retro styled 3 column (for home and archives) + 2 columns (for single posts and pages) layout using patterns as sidebars and footers. What I achieved was a way to manage multiple sections of my entire layout without having to go into the Site Editing portion so frequently, and now I have a huge, old school style layout with a modern theme.
I’m so glad that I discovered this theme and put in the time to learn how to make it work for me and what I was looking for in my style of publishing with WordPress.

I have been working with WordPress since 2007. WordPress was easy to work with, fast to generate content, and with well organised templates that was easy to personalise.
I want to update an old webpage of mine, simply because i want to upgrade to php 8.something and make it better for smartphone users. When introducing TT-3, my menu disappeared. I cannot replicate the content of my former 4 column footer widget into this theme. And, I cannot find a place for CSS correction.
Well as indicated above: I am old
Added: I have now tried very hard for 4 months I want to reduce the numbers of stars from 1 to 0, but cannot.

The developers of the theme ignore users and don’t respond to questions.

what the fck is this? even more unintuitive and confusing than it was the years before. I have to set the menu for every template?
it feels like i am editing seperate pages of a powerpoint instead of a website.

I love what you guys are doing in general. But the fluid type on twenty twenty three is too small for Mobile. I have had to go in and add CSS media pretty much to the entire site in order to make it legible on mobile. I tried to get in on json file to adjust the fluid equations but it wouldnt let me. Whatever I did it just kept on applying original numbers. And they were way too small.

Can’t even add a favicon without a workaround. Shut this theme down, other web companies would be bankrupt if they made themes like this.

Perfect theme for newbie theme developer

Totally eliminates the need for a page builder plugin. I loved Oxygen builder but this theme is going to take over. With a little bit of patience you can get this theme to look and react anyway you like. Works excellent with the AFC and Widget Logic Plugins. Plus BuddyPress.

I gave it a try, but my menus are no where to be found and editing the elements of the site is very confusing and difficult.

I started using the Twenty Twenty-Three theme to keep the design of my site at karavadra.net simple and focus on publishing content (I was previously using a page builder which was taking time to manage).
I was experiencing a couple of issues related to the header menu in the Twenty Twenty-Three theme.
@foosantos (Felipe) ‘stayed with me’ until we resolved the issues.
Thanks to Felipe’s persistence, advice and code suggestions, we resolved the issues.
While I’m still fine tuning things and getting used to the theme, the menu is working better now.

The Editor menu is a nightmare. Why it’s needed, I don’t know. Why not just allow us to put the site into an Editor mode, where we can select the header, menu, footer etc. directly? Seems slow to load, and it emphasises a major problem with Gutenberg/the block editor, in that it is impossible to be sure what you are editing. When editing, we really need to be able to see the edges of the blocks, or at least be able to toggle them on and off.
Just trying to edit the footer is frustrating. Dealing with columns and nested blocks is impossible.

This is the perfect theme. It’s clean and beautiful. There’s no sidebar to add clutter. The two lines in the top right corner takes my visitors to my website’s posts and pages. The 2023 Theme looks absolutely gorgeous on my mobile device. And last but certainly not least this theme loads as smooth as silk.

There’s a history of the Title element being way too tall going back to twenty-twenty two. Issue still not resolved.

Top-notch theme! Block Editor is the future.
Don’t listen to the naysayers!
WordPress + Gutenberg + Block Editor = ??

Too many settings in sub menus. It’s almost impossibile to me to guess the outcome of a change in the theme editor.

In my opinion, the “Twenty Twenty-Three” WordPress theme is elegant and flexible. Its sleek appearance and clear layout make it a versatile choice.
I have developed not just my own website but also the websites of a few pals.

Absolutely the best theme out there, but has a tough learning curve, few things that would make the learning curve smoother:
Thank you for the great work!

Thanks WP Team. I like TT3 a lot!! I did a little bit of custom css to make it work for my XOEarth.org website. Took me a little a few hours to figure out some of TT3’s container structure. Wish there was a manual or framework map.

dreadful… erases code in html blocks… I mean, erases a PARAGRAPH TAG, not some complex javascript. wow. mindblown.

There is:
@media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) {
}
But this theme does NOT use it. Meaning you have to force enable a dark color theme for all visitors (or not). That is pretty stupid. You should be able to select your light and dark theme and have them switch by user preference and maybe even a manual switcher on the frontend. Instead you can only select a single color theme for everyone.
Probably something that is at odds with how Gutenberg and these styles work.
Other than that, this theme does not look very impressive to me. More of a showoff for GB with some mediocre styling.

I am an experienced WordPress dev, and I am struggling to make basic changes with this one. Every successive theme is turning out to be worse than the previous one. You guys should honestly drop the blocks project, and just let us add code ourselves. That would be easier.
It is hours of reading non-existing documentation to figure out how remove the white space above the header. And I know how to code. I wonder how bad it is for those who don’t.
You will kill WordPress with this rubbish.

This is a desaster and terrible decisions has been made for wordpress. This theme has no settings at all, can not be customized at all and changing anything in it is terrible complicated.
E.g. changes I do on page templates are not shown on other posts and changes I do on header-template part are not visible on sites.
My guess is that someone at automaticc is trying to kill wordpress.
Stay away!

I absolutely love this TT3 theme!
I use this every day to build with, as well recommend it for others. So far, all feedback positive, and everyone happy. ??

Not for when you’re in a hurry.
So in order to add custom css I can no longer go to themes>customize? Because in your beautiful clean interface, there’s not a clue as to how to do it otherwise. Really, I have to use the URL? Mindblown, indeed. It’s stunning how hard it is to find anything. The description is enticing, but I’m giving this monster much longer to bake before I start wrestling it again.

The theme and the site editor are good. I like them! I have wished for such features to customize any part of my site just the way I want it to be. With the Full Site Editing features, my wish has come through.
But there should be options to customize the responsiveness of each block for desktop, tablet and mobile devices. For example, the post title is too big on mobile devices, and it is too small on desktop. If I reduce the font size to fit for mobile devices, then it would be extra small on desktop.
