I am have been beating my head against the wall it seems.
I am trying to layout the footer of my website. The contact details are pushed to the right. Does not really bother me, but I am trying to add social media icons and text above those icons either to the left on the footer or in the center on the footer. No matter what I do whether using the widget too or customizing, the tool puts the icons or text right next to my contact details. I don’t want to change my theme. I tried that and it really messed up home page layout. I can code I have made code change to my site before in html as well as php. The thing I am not so good at is CSS.
Please help.
]]>Hello,
I am using the theme: Uptown Style. For some reason I cannot remove the default black banner they have on each page (located at the top). See url for the area.
How can I delete this?
Thanks,

The mobile version of my website lists the number of pages available but does not have a feature that allows you to move to the next page. The desk top version does. How do I fix this on the mobile version?
]]>When inputting YouTube URL, the header media (hero) dimensions increase to displays the entire video along with a play/pause button instead of containing it, if that makes sense. This changed when WordPress after updating WordPress to 5.7. Any suggestions?
Also, once contained, I am having trouble increasing the height of this section – the default shows a very small strip of the video.
]]>Hi there!
I am displaying a page in the menu based on a category (“Lagerabverkauf”).
But I would like a different header image (the same as on the shop page) and change the text (the word “category” should be removed).

Are there simple solutions for this as a plugin?
I only have a limited knowledge of CSS ??
Looking for a suitable plugin for days …
Sorry for my bad English!
]]>Hi.
I think I like Uptown Style. However, I have one issue that I have been trying to fix on the website that I am building. I think that what I want to accomplish is this:
I would like the whole page to be within a wrapper / set of tables. The reason is that I want to put a limit to the pagetitles/hero (the area in the preset that contains flowers). Also, I want to be able to control this by pixels and percent, making it appear different depending on screen size. So that it is allowed to extend into the margin on a mobile phone, but on a big screen is limited.
Further. The main content area below question is controlled by the following css. Maybe that will be afflicted by the changes that I want specified above?
.content-area {
width: 60% !important;
max-width: 70% !important;
margin: 0 auto !important;
float: none !important;
}
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px) {
.content-area {
width: 100% !important;
max-width: 100% !important;
}
}
Any help appreciated!
Best.
When I installed WooCommerce, it changed all my theme settings. Putting them back now, but the featured images on blog pages are overriding the hero image (and stretching out, looking horrible). I’ve gone to the CSS editor and unchecked the box that says “Use featured image – Allow the featured image on the current post to override the hero image” but nothing changes. I’ve tried clearing the cache, checking and unchecking the box. Is there a css code I can add, or something else I can do? I’ve had this theme for about a year & it never did this before. Thanks!
]]>Hi all,
I would like to only show the site logo on home page, ever other page I would like to hide it. Tried a few css options but nothing as yet. Thanks
]]>I’ve customized my blog to (nearly) how I like it from a monitor’s perspective but when I switch to mobile it looks awful! Everything is massive and zoomed in, each menu and long words are split over multiple lines.
Is there a way to keep the appearance to scale across all device types? Or at least very similar? If not, what would be the best way forward?
Thank you!
Lizzie
]]>Does anyone know how to decrease the padding size between the site title & primary navigation menu? I have tried so many CSSs but with no luck.
Thanks all!
]]>Below my site identity, primary menu and hero image, I have a list of all my blog posts in 1 column. I’d like there to be 2 or 3 blogs listed side by side – basically how the thumbnail of the Uptown Style them looks.
Does anyone know what CSS, plugin or general setting I need to adjust to make this happen?
My site it not up yet so cannot share link.
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
When I view my website in mobile view, the page titles are too big to be viewed on one line. Is there a way to edit the theme to over ride this? Maybe making the page title smaller or by widening the element?
Many thanks,
Charlotte
Hi there,
When looking in mobile view the page title ‘hypnobirthing’ doesn’t fit on one line. Is there a way to change the size or widen the element so that it can be viewed on one line? It currently reads ‘hypnobirth’ and ‘ing’ underneath. So not ideal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
]]>The Header media is not cached, so it takes around 7,382 KiB of transfer size, how to make it cacheable??
]]>The Header video is not playing in Mobile Devices.
Working fine on PC’s.
Works with other some other themes, but not all. Definitely seems to be an issue with the theme itself. If you have JetPack plugin installed, go into Appearance / Widgets and drag the “Facebook Page Plugin (Jetpack)” to the sidebar. The title you give it shows up, but none of the Facebook contents from the provided URL. Tried adjusting visibility settings, settings as far as shapes and size, etc… doesn’t work unless I change to other themes, like Twenty Twenty.
]]>Nevermind, client had css causing the issue. thanks!
]]>When I look at my website on a desktop, the footer displays all my widgets properly. However, when I’m in mobile view, it displays everything one at a time going down vertically. I have an Instagram widget that displays a preview of 3 of my most recent posts. On the desktop it’s just a small portion of the footer, but on mobile, one IG photo takes up the entire screen, so when scrolling, it’s like they’re seeing 3 full-sized photos before getting to see the next widget.
]]>When I click to edit my “blog posts” page, I wanted it to show a preview of maybe 6-8 posts with the same sized thumbnail and excerpt for each, in 3 columns or 4 columns. When I’m on the “edit page” portion, it shows how I want it. But when I look at the published page, it just shows all the blog posts down one huge list, with the featured photo of each blog taking up the entire screen. When I look on the phone it’s like this too, I have to scroll down a lot just to see the next few posts listed.
Is there anything I can do to get it to look the way it looks when I’m in “edit page” mode?
]]>How does one add a tagline and button to the hero, as shown in the preview? It is functioning as the title of the page (and changes the actual title of the page) not as a Hero.
]]>I made an update to the latest version of php: 7.4.2.
I updated the primer theme and the child theme, Uptown Style.
Before I made these updates the blog post page header was displaying correctly.
The headers on the other pages are displaying properly with a playfair font and white text.
When I click on the continue reading button, the blog post page shrinks the text and the text changes to black.
When I got into customization in my godaddy dashboard, and look at what is set, the Hero text shows it is set to white but it is displaying as black.
Any ideas?
]]>It appears that this theme doesn’t fully support mobile functions. When on my cellphone I cannot click to the second page of my blogs. Also, it seems that when someone is trying to subscribe to my email list from a phone or a desktop they receive a “oops something went wrong” message. Can something be done about this?
]]>The Navigation Bar is cramping my style, man. The important info on my site is all on the home page. The other pages don’t need to be accessible from the navigation bar.
As I search desperately with weary eyes for a way to banish that pesky little hamburger menu, imagine my despair as the closest advice I can find is to delete the menu in the customization options or on the WordPress admin screen. But alas! Woe is me. The menu is already nonexistent! There is naught to delete.
I pray, please tell me how to make the Navigation Bar go away and never come back.
]]>Hi, I wanna put my Footer Menu and Social Menu together.
I used the Social Media Widget and it creates a new footer menu on top of my existing one (Imprint and Privacy Policy).
But I want to have it all in one menu, one line and if possible, social media icons should show in original colour.
I added some blocks of images as a gallery, but the edit page looks different than the preview and published page. The pictures don’t line up and are messy. But the edit page it looks just right. Am I not able to add anything to this themed page?
]]>Is there a way to make blog posts not be excerpts? I would like to truncate them myself rather than the way they are done in the theme but I can’t find a setting anywhere. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, the problem is that in the mobile version the paging buttons don’t appear, and you can’t access the old articles. Anybody know how to fix this?
