Comments made on articles used to be visible to the public, but now it just says the number of comments made but they cannot be seen. I have adjusted all settings to allow people to comment. I can see and reply to comments as an administrator, but I would like them to be available to the public again as well.

]]>I have two different blogs, both running the Weaver theme.
They are separate installations of wordpress.
The second blog is a subfolder of the first.
ex. https://www.first-blog/second-blog
In search engine results, Google seems to be occasionally pulling the title from the first blog and pinning it to the second.
first blog = https://garyeugenehowell.com/
Second blog = https://garyeugenehowell.com/hearinggodsvoice
The title of the first blog is “Christian Fiction Hosted by Gary”
The title of the second blog is “Hearing God’s Voice”
Google search results look like “Post title for second blog” – “blog title of first blog”
It should be “Post title for second blog” – “blog title of second blog”
Here’s a real example from Google Search results:
How to find a church – Christian fiction hosted by Gary
but it should be
How to find a church – Hearing God’s Voice
How do I fix that?
]]>Hi everyone!
I’m building a gallery using the Media Grid plugin
(https://codecanyon.net/item/media-grid-wordpress-responsive-portfolio/2218545)
The theme I’m using is Weaver version 2.2.9.
My problem is that the thumbnails in the gallery just don’t show up.
Here’s a link to the gallery (the whole website is still under construction):
https://66.147.242.173/~artandr2/galleries/fabric-of-survival/
You insert the images into the different Media Grid items as featured images. I noticed that, in the post/page editor, the featured images were appearing cropped like banners, so I did some research, and, thanks to this thread, I was able to get them to appear in their entirety: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-prevent-resizing-of-custom-header-image-twenty-ten?replies=6
(I just commented out those php lines, and it worked).
However, the gallery thumbnails are still not showing up!
There might be some extra code that I need to comment out or tweak, perhaps in the header files, as this thread seems to suggest:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/featured-image-not-working-with-nextgen-gallery?replies=10
I did find the code mentioned in the above thread in my hdr-image.php file and modified it as they suggested, but my thumbnails just wouldn’t show up and, at some point, the whole header disappeared! Maybe it’s because the thread dates back to two years ago and now the Weaver theme seems to have more header php files (in fact, that code is now in hdr-image.php instead of header.php) so there may be more php to modify somewhere else, or maybe it’s because I’m using Media Grid instead of NextGen Gallery…
Anybody can help me with this? I’ve tried many different gallery plugins and I’m really liking Media Grid because it supports audio players and lengthy descriptions that are required for the gallery I’m designing. And the Weaver theme has worked perfectly so far. I wouldn’t want to change either. There must be a solution to make them work together, but I can’t seem to find it.
Thanks so much!
]]>I have set up the blog to go to my news page using the page template setting. Under->settings-> Reading I put posts to -Select- (reason for this is when I set it to to News under the ->settings-> reading my header image disappears on the News page)
The header image does not show up for any of my post pages. Under Weaver Admin->Header/Menu options I have left blank the box for
Hide Featured Image for Header:
Hide the “Featured Image” (set in Post/Page edit) from appearing as the header image. (Also see “Show Featured Image in Posts”). ?
How can I either have the header image show up on all posts or better yet remove the header image (which is not showing up but just a broken link box) from showing up on the post page?????????????????

After uploading the website onto the “hosting” server the images aren’t displayed, as their URLs are still pointing back to the “localhost” location rather than the hosting URL.

]]>I have used the Weaver theme on several of my sites with no issues. When installed on this site: https://www.reneerox.com, I received an FTP error:
*** Weaver File Access Error! *** (But don’t panic!)
Weaver is unable to process a file access request. You may have incomplete or incorrect FTP credentials set in the Advanced Options:Admin page, or in your wp-config.php file. Otherwise, it is unusual to see this error. It often is generated after you move to a new host, or switch between the Weaver File Access Plugin and FTP File Access. You may have to change the directory permissions on your web hosting server. See Weaver File Access Plugin Help for more information.
Diagnostics: Unable to create directory. Probably a file system permission problem. Directory/home/reneeandtate/www/www//home/reneeandtate/www/www/wordpress/images/weaver-subthemes
*** IMPORTANT NOTICE! *** (But don’t panic!)
Your web host configuration needs “FTP” file access for full Weaver functionality. You need to use one of the following options. There are more details in the help file.
?For a shared web host: Provide FTP credentials to enable file access. You can do this by filling the form below, or by adding the proper information to your wp-config.php file as described in the help file. Note: most shared hosts do not need FTP file access, and won’t generate this message.
?For a private server or VPS: Provide FTP credentials, or install the Weaver File Access Plugin. The Weaver File Access Plugin will provide the required file access with the most efficiency.
?For compatibility with existing Weaver installations: install the Weaver File Access Plugin. This will provide the required file access with the most compatibility with previous versions, but with a very small security risk. See the help file. If you have an existing Weaver installation, you may find switching file access methods (Weaver File Access Plugin to FTP, or the opposite) may result in file or directory access permission issues. See the help file.
For reduced functionality mode: Check the Hide FTP Access Start up Dialog below. Weaver will continue to operate in reduced functionality mode (no editor styling, no save/restore, Inline CSS) until you provide FTP credentials, or download and activate the Weaver File Access Plugin, either from www.ads-software.com, or WPWeaver.info.
?If your host requires secure FTP or SSH access, you will need to provide the proper credentials using the wp-config.php file.
?Installing the Weaver File Access Plugin will allow full Weaver functionality on any host, but sometimes with a small security riskPlease read more details in the Weaver File Access Plugin topic from the Weaver Help tab.
When I installed the plugin the error went away and I was able to access the Weaver Admin, however none of the subthemes show up or uploading backgrounds or headers.
I don’t know what caused the problem to begin with but I wonder if it has to do with this part of the error:
Directory/home/reneeandtate/www/www//home/reneeandtate/www/www/wordpress/images/weaver-subthemes
at one point, I changed domains from reneeandate.com to reneerox.com

]]>I point out that if you’re trying to use per-page Weaver widgets, there is a simple solution when you’re getting the error “Note: Per Page widget area: X not found. You’ve likely mistyped the name, haven’t defined the area yet, or haven’t added a widget.”
When you define the per page widgets on the Weaver Admin>Advanced Options>Page Template Options page, DO NOT PUT SPACES after the commas.
It’s easy to create per page widgets with a leading space, but it is not obvious elsewhere that there is a space in the name.
Based upon searches for that error message, I suspect quite a few people are encountering that problem.

Site title and description set to white (#FFFFFF)
Move Title Over Header Image checked
Title and description indents set to 5 for X, left at default for Y
Hide Site Title/Description unchecked

i have a problem if i center my menu bar in the header on my site. after centering there is a small, but visible border below the menu buttons. to make it clearer: check this pic
to visualize it better i used the gradient menu bar in this pic
what i mean is the small grey line below the menu items.
how do i remove this line/border??
it appears only if i center the menu bar, if menu bar is right or left no line appears!
for centering the menu i used

#access ul{display:inline-block;}
any ideas of how to solve this problem??
