im using the zenon lite template on my wp. so on mobile view the footer widgets overlapped, but only on the frontpage – have a look at it: https://www.responsinator.com/?url=www.rudolf-mundt.de%2F (sometimes you have to go to a second site and then back to the frontpage, then you see the false)

I’m using the Zenon-Lite theme for a while now. Very happy with it.
On the desktop version I use 2 menu’s. One in the header and one in the footer. There are different links in the footer than in the header.
This theme automatically generates a mobile version of the website when the page is loaded on a mobile device. Great stuff. However, in the mobile version it doesn’t show the footer menu.
I see no ‘options’ to somehow the enable the desktop footer menu in the mobile version.
Anyone has any idea how to do this?

The front page of my blog isn’t displaying new posts (https://globetrotting.floridascarf.com). It’s strange because the other three websites that I have use the same, Zenon Lite v1.9, theme but don’t have this problem (https://creative.floridascarf.com being one, if you need it for comparison). I’ve tried deactivating some plugins that have caused issues in the past and that hasn’t helped. Although, I would have been surprised if it had, as the other problem-free blogs use the same plugins. I’d also like to note that when I’m signed in to WordPress I’m able to see new posts, but once I log out, they disappear. I’m not well versed in coding and I suspect that the problem may be buried somewhere in there, so any help would be greatly appreciated! ?? Thank you in advance!

Hi, awesome theme first off. Has been great so far, until this little problem. I made a change to the body font colour, and it ended up changing the menus as well. So I have changed it back and it has not changed (refreshed). it is still the originally changed color. I have tested on 3 different browsers, and cleared cache, and can’t find any instance of the old colour in the css, which still shows live. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How do you reduce the amount of posts that show up on the front page?
Currently the front page displays 10 where I want the theme to display 6.
10 posts do not really go equally onto the front page and makes it look unbalanced and slightly messy.

I’ve got a problem with changing font in “postitle” (h2). I’ve tried to edit CSS, I’ve added Google Font in header and in CSS and nothing changed
In header:

I know that I can choose in admin panel only 3 fonts, but if there is a possibility to have another font in title’s?
What is strange – when I change font-size of h2 it works, but font-family doesn’t work at all :/

However, when I create a new page which contains some basic information, such as i.e. a description and a picture – then the post itself doesn’t make up the same width as the header/slider picture and menu?
It kinda gives a skewed look to the site, which is not really the intention.
How can I make the content of a page be the same width as the slider/header?

I am trying to publish my posts but the post on homepage shows only half a sentence and the image area is shadowed out and does not show up. (I chose in customization page to use home page for posts.
My site is https://www.blisfullymanicmotherhood.com ( I removed all post and further trials and trashed them as it looked really bad.)
When I click on the missing image when it is set to public to read full post it comes up 404 page not found.
I would like for the excerpt to be wrapped around the image (not half a sentence above).
Why is it not finding my page? When I view in preview before publishing the full post looks fine. Then I publish and I get the mess mentioned above.
Why is it only posting half a sentence and hiding image? Then missing altogether when I publish it? Please help me sort this out so I can start posting.

Hello…first let me thank whomever for any assistance they can provide.
I am going to give your some background info then the steps I have taken.
I hope this is not TOO detailed.
I started off using the ZenonLite theme, then realized after researching that I needed to create a child theme to make changes to the template not make them directly to the exsisting parent theme I am using.
Tried it…got a blank box to appear under my themes..didnt realize I shouldnt click it…did…fatal error…had to totally lose the database and website I had built.
Now I am attempting to build the child theme FIRST..live and learn…then build the site because I already know my plugins etc I want to add.
****Let me say here that i use the AWESOME Godaddy WP hosting so I do have access to my FTP manager and files.****

1. Created directory named zenon-lite-child
2. In that directory I added a FILE named style.css
3. On that file I saved the following:

I did the following….
a. copy and saved the “admin” directory to the child theme
b. copy and saved the “image” directory to the child theme.
c. here is where i get thrown off….I tried two ways with no success.
1. i copy and saved the functions.php file to the child theme then went in a changed line 142-148 per instructions in the link above. NO DICE!
2. I REMOVED the functions.php file from the child theme…
then went into the parent themes functions.php and changed line 142-148….CRAPS! lol….
RESULTS: What I am getting is that if I go into my Appearance>Themes I can see the child theme at the bottom however it is gray and blank. Learned the hard way that is no bueno! I know the template name is correct because if you dont put the “-” between zenon and lite it will tell you no parent theme available.
So now I am seeking your help. I am pretty good about going into the codex, studying and following directions. I dont know if these are the ONLY steps to follow or am I missing something else.
The only plugin currently activated is the JetPack. As I stated I am starting all the way over.
REASON FOR CHILD THEME:
The reason I need the child theme is because I have a custom post type that has to have the code put in the functions.php file. Also I made some custom changes and added some new “function references” to my theme. Hope I said that right…I am still learning alot.
I really dont want to have to change themes. This one has all the features I need…slider, full page option, great theme options I can use as needed. So if there is anyway you can help me figure out what I need to do to get this child theme working it would be great.
ONE LAST THING:
a. i noticed that within the parent theme the css file under the css directory is not named “style.css”. it is called “control_panel.css” would this have any bearing on the @ url on the child theme’s style.css file that I created? im still learning how all of this links together and works but if it is trying to pull a file I dont have saved the exact same as the parent theme is that a problem? and should i be naming the css file i create “control_panel.css”.
also in the parent theme the css file is saved under a directory named “css”. i just saved mine in the child theme’s directory itself. do i need to create a directory name “css” and then put the file in that first?
the instructions make it sound like all i needed to do was create the style.css file and the directory and I was good but I see there is more than meets the eye!! lol…please help me transform my child theme into a beautiful working theme!
