My site is at https://www.livingunderonesun.co.uk and I’m trying to make the key features on the home page open their respective links in the same window.
I went into content-home.php and chamged the “target_blank” to “target_self” as in the snippet of code below:

but I’m having no luck. The links keep opening in a separate window. Any ideas?

Even though I have checked both “discussion” and “comment” in the screen options for each individual post, nothing appears on any of the pages that would allow comments. Can you advise?

I am having trouble customizing the right sidebar area. It used to be blank but I followed directions to be able the use the whole page. But now any widgets I try to install only appear at the bottom of the full page content. How can I turn that right sidebar into usable space?

I was wondering… is it possible to create a child theme having Zippy as a parent theme?

I would like to change the menu colours. I have tried using a pluggin that generates child themes, but it doesn′t work. I have also tried creating a child theme, including its style file and its functions file. However, it still does not work. When trying with other themes, as Twenty thirteen and other WP samples, I have no problem at all adding new CSS rules in the child theme. It doesn′t seem to work with Zippy.

I run it in my computer (not in a server at all), but I guess it shouldn′t make a difference, as it works when using other themes.

I cant pull up my website using zippy themes and also inside the zippy control panel, the appearance options is loading and loading, nothing is happening . I tried another browser and still the same,. I tried another computer and still the same., is it because I up0graded the version of my wordpress?

Hi everybody! I am using the latest WP version and Zippy theme on one of my websites I built on june 2014 and always updated!.
Yesterday I received a message from my Google webmaster account: they told me Google robots has detected problems of mobile usability on all pages of my website! It looks like website is not responsive at all on mobile phone! And that’s it! First I thought that my website was not responsive only on my iphone (due to the resina display)…but now google is sending me this warning message…
Can you please tell me how to solve this terrible problem?
I installed Zippy theme because it is a beautiful theme, with many wonderful option, and first of all because you said it is RESPONSIVE !!!
How can I let my website look great on mobile device? Media query seems to be configured ok…can you please help me?

Firstly, loving this theme, it is *almost* exactly what I’m after. Notice the *almost*…

The main navigation menu is too small. I have seven parent menu items that *need* to be on top and not in subfolders. However, when I have this set, they appear in two rows, which I don’t like the look of at all. How can I move the logo to the left allow for more menu items?

See screenshot for what I mean. Move the logo into the dead space left, and the menu to the left too to make room for more parent items

hi, I have my site carboncopy.services built on this (brilliant) theme.

Only problem i am having is that the social media icons at the top for facebook and twitter are stuck on “#”.

When i go into the settings for the header the url’s for these are not showing as anything at all, and the box to input the url is not showing.

i need help, i have 3 image with transparent background in slide, but all slide effect get picture before, i whant know how i put some secs before another slides appear, for example image 1 and when effect over 1 secs later appear image 2;

I downloaded Zippy theme and created the child theme. I tried to change in the child theme margins, slider size and everything but didnt work. As you can see from the link: https://tovarnacarovnije.com/

The slider arrows are out of margins. And i dont know how to fix it.

I am getting nowhere with uploading portfolio items. I have images in the gallery and so try to create a portfolio selecting say 3 or 5 images. These appear to upload correctly but then “viewing” produces this error message.

I have created the embryo of a site called snap-decision.eu using the zippy theme. I am trying to upload a header picture and it appears to upload correctly, but the next stage is select and crop. Everything I try brings up an error “there has been an error cropping your image”. I have resized the image and tried both jpg and png formats.
Meanwhile the site title says Zippy and no amount of editing the title will change this, although the tagline is showing correctly. Please could you advise what might be wrong for both graphic and text versions.

I’m a little confused… the Zippy theme talks about sub navigation within the guide and displays an example of it within the demo.

However, I think I must be missing something, because I have setup my menu and dragged a selection of menu options to be the child of a main option, at which point they are labelled as ‘sub item’ within the menu structure, and hit ‘save menu’. Unfortunately they all display as main options on the front end?? I really can’t see what I’m doing wrong here, it just doesn’t appear to work??!

Is there any way to make the logo bigger?

On the home page tab I want to make the key feature title and the key feature photo into live links. How would I do that?

How do I remove the social icons? I like most of them, I just want to remove the Google+ icon and the make the rest line up and fill in the gap.

For some reason, the slideshow will not appear on the front page of my theme. It had been working just fine until fairly recently. Even when I add and remove pictures, the slideshow will still not appear on my home page. Any advice would be much appreciated.

i know that might sound very stupid, but I can’t figure out how to show the slideshow / key feature.

My home page still showing as a blog, rather than a static page. I am not able to create a page similar to the preview, with slideshow and key features. I just can see it like a blog.

Can you please help me? I’m on wordpress 3.9, on a fresh new website.

If possible, how can I change the fixed size of the featured image? I would like to use the original size of the photo otherwise the colors desaturate and the photo sometimes looks a little distorted. If I cannot use the original size and it has to remain fixed, I would like to know what size parameters you have it set to so I can adjust my photos accordingly to match.

I’m really liking the Zippy theme but have not figured out how to create a blog page that contains the posts – a page I can link from my menu, etc. Sorry if it’s obvious, but can you give me some direction? Is there a short code I should be using?
