I cannot completely reset plugin configuration

Hello, after trying to translate the plugin to Spanish with Loco translate the registration form couldn’t work any more. After clicking on submit I just receive “406 Not acceptable” from wordpress in the header response and a message in the browser “An appropriate representation of the requested source could not be found on this server”.

Thus, I deactivated, deleted the plugin and reinstalled again, but the configuration is remembered. Probably it is stored in the database, and it is not deleted when the plugin is deleted.

Can you please tell me how to completely delete everything (even from the database) and restore the original default settings the plugin, deleting all previous configuration?

Cannot add images to my posts I get “406 Not Acceptable” message

I can not add multimedia to my post.
Folllowing the instructions that I found on the web I:
-deactivate plugins
-change permalink settings
-rename the directory of my current theme

So the problem persists, whenever I want to save changes in a post with a photo or image I get the “406 Not Acceptable” message and a “GET https://tejedorderelatos.com/wp-admin/hplogo.gif 404 (Not Found)” on the “Console” Window from Chrome’s Developer Tools.

How come I cant save settings for mycred?
I used mycred for other sites and it worked not it just trowing this 406 error every time I want to save a setting, or make it in woocommerce as a payment gateway.

Hi there

I try to change the permalink setting from default one to “Post name”. But when I click on save change, it returned an error message “406 not acceptable” — and that’s it, no further instruction or message… I tried selecting other options they all ended up the same. I was told that it’s better to change the permalink to “post name” as it will increase click through rate and performance on SEO. please help!

When I try to “add media” I am able to upload the image, but when trying to preview or update and post I get the same message “406 Not Acceptable”. There is nothing to give me a clue of what may be going wrong. Would you please help me out. Thank you

We’ve run into two issues where we receive the message 406 Not Acceptable.

1. The content of a widget Featured Top 1 (see Services tree silhouette bottom left on the home page) and designated to appear only on the site home page is appearing in the individual posts/entires on the blog and in testimonials.

I’m using the Dynamic Widgets plugin to assign widgets to specific pages.

In the widget management section, the Services tree widget also appears twice under Blog Right Sidebar. I didn’t place them there. When I select the delete function to remove both widgets from blog right sidebar I receive the message “406 Not Acceptable, Return to home page.”

I also tried using Dynamic Widgets for both to block the widget from appearing on the blog and testimonial posts but it didn’t work!

2. When the client tries to edit old blog posts (that were imported with the site re-design), she also receives the message “406 Not Acceptable, Return to home page.”

Any suggestions on how to remove it?

406 Not Acceptable and server not responding in website and admin

WordPress beginner here.
So I have been working on my website for a month (www.papertradelinks.com) and the past couple of weeks I haven’t had any problems since last week when my website started showing the 406 Not Acceptable Error. This error, and the server not responding error (either one of them came, Its really occasional) always showed up everytime I tried to login to wp-admin or my own website. Not only that, all my devices on my home network face the same problem. The problem is temporarily resolved after restarting my router after 10 minutes and clearing cache, and I can login to wp-admin again, but even the slightest modifications I try to make to my website make the server unresponsive again and the website and wp-admin stop loading again, and I have to restart the router again to make it work.
So I thought it was a problem with my URL or network, but after trying to edit my website (wp-admin) from a different IP (my friends computer) I faced the same problem of 406 and server not responding. Restarting my friends router also made it work temporarily, and it was the same story all over again, that too from a different IP!
I also tried to access my wp-admin and website from proxies, and they were able to access, but again after I tried to edit anything in my wp-admin through those proxies, even the proxies showed server stopped responding and 406 Not acceptable!

By now, even my cpanel shows server stopped responding.

So I looked up about it online and found about the .htaccess file. I tried to find this file in my directory and couldn’t find anything like it (I checked the show hidden files), so I created a htaccess file and pasted this into it:

SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

I couldn’t name it .htaccess and upload it while its hidden so I renamed it in the File Manager in cpanel to .htaccess.

Still nothing seems to work. Please help!

I have tried many times to upload the profeatures.php file following your instructions, I have been sent but consistency get a 406 not acceptable error, I am using a mac if that makes any difference.

This is the error..

Client browser does not accept the MIME type of the requested page.

Also the lack of response from your support if very frustrating…
