why is it only 32 bit?

I installed the pro version of this weeks ago and have not gotten it to work.

First of all, the backups jumped from 5 gigs to 15 gigs for no reason I can see. Even 5 gigs is outrageous. My site is nowhere near that big. Second, no matter how many boxes I check instructing this plugin to exclude files, I get the same result: 15 gigs. I tried one of my other sites and got the same results. Third, It will download, but when I try to upload I get the message that I need to install 64 bit php. Why doesn’t this plugin have 64 bit php installed in the first place if that is what is needed?

I have written the developers of this plugin, the WordPress people, XAMPP, and everyone else I could think of. All I get is “Sorry, not my department.”

I must be doing something wrong but I can’t figure out what. I am tempted to pay someone to do what needs to be done, but I don’t really want anyone poking around in my computer.

This is really frustrating.

When I try to migrate any of my sites I get the message that I need to use 64 bit php. I have the latest versions of php software: or so I thought. It all says 32 bit. Even my host uses 32 bit. What do I do?

Hello:

I am trying to use All In One to migrate a site. The original site was “packed up” and zipped without problem: but when I tried to unpack the site to the second location I got a message asking me to change my php from 32 bit to 64 bit. I thought I was using 64 bit since I am using Windows 10.

How do I check and change my php? Do I need to get into MySQL in the C-Panel? What next?

Hello, if I go on my blog (www.project-brain.com) the following message is displayed: Backup Guard uses 64-bit integers, but it looks like we’re running on a version of PHP that doesn’t support 64-bit integers (PHP_INT_MAX=2147483647)

I also cannot access the /wp-admin.

Do you have any advice how to solve the issue?

Fresh install

I have installed v4.4.2 on WAMP 2.14.7 64 bit on windows 8 pc 64 bit.
I have installed it to DB WordPress and have user WordPress as admin.
.
WAMP is configured for virtual hosts.

Loading local host and selecting the WordPress project loads the default site. However I am unable to access the back end. Appending /wp-admin to the site does load the login screen however this rejects my admin name/password.

Fresh install, no modifications.

Please advise as soon as possible.

Google Chrome Version 39.0.2171.42 beta-m (64-bit) is my default browser:

It displays the Kelly Theme with different text sizes when redirected from other sites, but then displays properly when I refurbish the browser. Chrome seems to be the only browser that does this, and I’m not sure if it happens in the 32-bit version or not. Here are some examples:

Visual Post Editor slow on Firefox 13 in Windows 7 64 Bit

This was written here and there but I wanted to add something to the probling regarding a very sluggish visual post editor.

I am using WP 3.4.1 in Firefox 13 in Windows 7 Professional 64Bit

The editor ist very slow and responses badly.

On my computer there is a parallel Installation of Windows XP SP 3 32 Bit and the Firefox I use is a portable one that is used on both Installations. When I use the editor on XP everything is fine. On Win 7 I have the above problems.

The editor works just fine in Chrome 20 under both OSes AND the editor works just fine in FF13 under Win 7 if I use a TinyMCE-Demo from the TinyMCE-page.

So there seems to be some incompatibility with Win7 in the Javascript used in the WP-version of TinyMCE.

Insights? Ideas? Link to a thread that I might have missed?

I cannot get audio player to work in firefox 8.0.1 on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. Not just on my site, but on any site using the plugin.

Works fine on my windows xp machines.

Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions?

Installing WordPress locally on Windows 7 64 bit?

Hi, I’m trying to install WordPress locally but I’m having problems. I tried XAMPP initially with no luck so I tried WAMP but I still can’t set up the wp-config.php file. It’s to do with PHP, it’s either not installed or I have the wrong version or something. I’m using Windows 7 64bit and the web server on WAMP is “Apache/2.2.17 (Win32) PHP/5.3.4” so I’m guessing its incompatible with 64bit Windows but I’m new to all this so it could be an earthworm tickling the dualcore substrata in the superflexibyte chipset for all I know.

Can anybody help me?

I really don’t want to use Web Platform Installer by the way because it threatened to install a huge amount of Microsoft junk with the WordPress install.

What about bitnami? Can that install locally?

I’ve checked here and elsewhere to no avail. Assuming the posted requirements re PHP, MySQL, and Apache hold true, is there any problem with running WordPress or WordPress MU on a 64 bit Linux OS like RHEL 5.x?

I’m looking to change hosts, and would hate to get it all setup and paid for and not be able to run my wordpress sites.
