Installing plugins

I have two WordPress sites and I’m trying to install a new plugin on one (the other works fine.

1. Has the classic ‘normal-looking’ add new plugin menu which works fine.

2. The other site has somehow changed or updated to a newer looking add plugin menu.
with orange. buttons to install/active the plugins, however when you click those buttons the plugin doesn’t install.

Both sites are using the same theme and version of WordPress so I have no idea why one has this different looking add plugin menu that doesn’t function. How can I get back the old add plugin menu or make this new look actually work?

when i search for plugins the circle spins round for loading then the plugin i need isnt showing up, random ones are. please help!!! I tried clearing browsing data already. thankyou. check the issue in the vid below

Strange problem: www.ads-software.com plugin search error only certain words

So I was just about to install “Titan Framework” and I go to the “Add Plugins” page as usual. However, when I try to search for “titan” I get the error:

An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

If I search for “options” or “framework” the search works fine.

So, I tried the following steps:

Disabled all plugins.
Changed to default 2017 theme.
Altered wp-includes/class-http.php and set timeout to “15”.
Reset server PC
Reloaded Xampp

I have wordpress running locally on XAMPP on port 800 (not 80). I’ve never had this problem in all the sites I’ve done so this is weird.

Is this perhaps just a search bug and it’s not finding the word “titan” or something?

“Unavailable” in WP “Add Plugins” page

I get the following fault message at add plugins: ‘An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration.’

www.ads-software.com is OK (it works in a local test environmemt), it must be a fault of my site.
Any suggestions?

Plugins > Add New > More Details before and after search on 4.6-beta

Hi all,

Testing my own (and other) plugins on WordPress 4.6-beta build, I noticed a weird issue on the Plugins > Add New page.

This is on a WordPress Multi-site / Network installation with no plugins activated, but not tested on a normal install:

When I go to the Network Admin > Plugins > Add New page and click any of the “More Details” links in the plugins listed there, I get a light box with the plugin’s www.ads-software.com page as expected. But if I then do a search for any plugin (e.g. by name, it does not matter) and then I click a “More Details” link again, it will show the Add Plugins page in the light box instead of the expected www.ads-software.com page.

CPU spike in "Add Plugins"->"More Details"

Latest WP version introduced me with a very interesting bug. Whenever I open More Details of any plugin on Add Plugins page, my i7-4710HQ sky rocket to ~80% with max-turbo. Goes back to 0 when I close More Details iframe.
Using Latest Google Chrome on Windows 10 x64. SSD and 16GB RAM.
Tried using on different installs (single site and multisite).

updates and plugins 404 page not found message

When I try to add plugins or view plugins and make updates to the site; I am getting a 404 page not found message. What can I do to fix the issue?
