I did a site a few years back and is working fine. The client has just called to change address details as he has moved office.
I have tried to log in to the backend and it’s saying the details have not been recognised. I cannot request a password reset either as it says the email does not exist.
I have been into the database and checked the username, password and admin email and are all correct.
I have tried changing the password as per instructions, but still no joy.
Using the Avada theme.
Have full access to the files on FTP.
Does anyone know what the issue could be, really need to make these small changes

]]>I’m so confuse as to why that happen and now I can’t edit anything. Says 403 forbidden why is that ? Is my website gone forever ? I also mess with DNS Zone editor was trying to figure out how to connect the my domain to siteground just put random stuff on there & eventually it worked I just don’t know which one the right one that connected the two, maybe that’s causing some errors. The preview works: Yes
It works with other themes: Haven’t Tried, my Author page is supposed to have been made with sliders in mind.
It works when I disable all other plugins: Haven’t Tried, because one of them is responsible: indirectly.
Meta Slider version: 3.6.7
Begin.
Now it’s weird, because MetaSlider works *perfectly* when I’m logged in as Admin and working on my site.
And as soon as I log out, it still works.
*BUT!* – Loading my site from a reboot, and I’m not logged in: then MetaSlider isn’t working, and just shows the first picture in my stack, and nothing else.
Log in: and it works again.
I think I know what’s wrong, and at some point I’ll change my front page to a CSS layout, but currently I’m using Table-Press, and I have MetaSlider embedded inside the first Row/Col on the Table: and that Table in itself, is called by a short code on the Home Page.
Why it should even work when I’m logged in is beyond me, but it does.
When I can find time, I will CSS my home page to a *none* table layout, but I thought you chaps might like to be aware of the conflict.
Searched Forums, but couldn’t find any other fool who’d tried this.

]]>I had an old colleague setup the wordpress site for my website and have always logged in through the website to access WordPress admin panel.
I tried using that log in on the WordPress site and it isn’t registered.
I am changing the domain and web host package, I would like to keep the whole site as it is, Im just moving to a cheaper option 
I have downloaded the database and backed up all the files onto my hard drive.
The registration of the new hosting package took a little longer than expected however and my site has been shut down before I could enter the new website address into the existing WordPress admin login.
Is there anyway I can put the backup files onto the new website (new domain name and new host) and keep the existing wordpress site up and running?
Or should I get in touch with the person who set it up to see if they can access the WordPress admin panel and update the old web address to the new one?
Sorry – I’m not really a WordPress person – I’ve only made websites using Dreamweaver and basic html.
If any answers could be explained step by step, I’d really appreciate it!
