We added the free add-on, Google Analytics Dashboard Widget (Free), to our site but it’s not being detected as “Already Installed” in the Add-Ons section of our WordPress menu. Click here for details.
Do you know why it’s not being detected? Got a fix?
Thank you!

]]>I already created a database, edited the fle “config-sample.php” and when i go to https://localhost/mysite/wp-admin/install.php and fill up the information, go to step two and shows a blank rectangle on the screen.
I reloaded the page and then this message appears:
“You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.”
So I’ve done this 7 times now:
Deleted the wordpress folder on my PC (C:/xampp/htdocs), deleted the database on my localhost, and nothing happened.
I really don′t know what I’ve done wrong.
I will appreciate you help!
Thanks!
]]>All of a sudden my website is not showing up.
www.visualcapitalist.com
Instead it says:
“Already Installed. You appeared to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.”
I am new to this so if someone can help using words a newbie can understand, that would be great!
Thanks in advance.
]]>We have an ongoing problem that comes and goes. Sometimes a normal link will go to a page that tries to install wordpress and will give an error message ‘wordpress is already installed’. Other times it gives an internal error. Usually these clear if you refresh the page. It has been an issue for a while so is not related to a recent update.
My host has repaired databases when it gets bad, but cannot see why it would be temporary.
Does anyone have any ideas? Have you seen this before? It can be whilst using the main site, though possibly it’s more common in the back end.
Thanks for any help
]]>“Already Installed: You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.”
Even when I type in the url it always jumps to the “install.php”, as in https://mtmcclanahan.com/ThePaintersTongue/wp-admin/install.php.
This apparently happened overnight–was fine the night before and like this the next morning. This is the only site I have running 3.8.1, but as I said, was working fine before.
WordPress 3.8.1; Twentyfourteen theme; https://mtmcclanahan.com/ThePaintersTongue/ or just https://thepainterstongue.com.
Thank you for any help,
Marcus
Thanks
]]>Already Installed
You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.
However I had never installed it before today and between each time I tried it I removed the wordpress completely from my computer. I even tried uninstalling my sever….
any help?
I need it for a project so sooner I get this fixed the better
]]>It has been a week now, and I cannot recall an associated event or action from my part, since my blog randomly returns a message of my wp already being installed, upon doing any kind of action on a post (view, save, open post, etc) or maybe any dashboard action that involves php reload (hence excluding updates on post fields). Thus sometimes and for no apparent reason I get that message along with the option to log in, and an altered dashboard style (width is cut by 50%).
As said I cannot associate the first occurrence of this error with anything I did… I updated to latest version afterwards and the issue remains. It is not an impairing issue since i may just ignore this message and start again my desired action (view, open etc) without the error, for some time again. But if someone has an idea, I’d be very pleased to try it
