Well i been wanting to improve my english for quite some time.. and was wondering if there was something like www.ads-software.com for audio blogging.

though i wouldn’t consider it as a podcast since is not like i’m going to be “reporting” things weekly or anything.

sorry if i confused you, podcast still a new term for me even if it’s old, many people still don’t know about it which also includes me.

Making Audioblog work with WordPress

I use Audioblog as a service to post video blog entries to my WordPress 2.0 blog (www.righttrack.us). At first Audioblog wouldn’t post to my upgraded WordPress, but their tech support sent me a couple of lines of code to add to my wp-config.php file and it started posting fine (something about recognizing the iframe tag, which WP 2.0 didn’t support).

When I video blog, I also put text in the post to give more information than is possible in the video. However, yesterday when I saved the text on my first video post in WP 2.0 (no images, just paragraphs and an unordered list, plus a couple of links opening in new windows), that post became the ONLY thing that showed up on my blog — no older posts, no sidebar. I put ALL of the text BEFORE the code which generates the inline video, and my older video posts (the ones posted with WP 1.5.2, see Video Blogs category on my site) work just fine. Of course, I haven’t tried to edit them, and don’t know what would happen if I did. I did not have this problem with WP 1.5.2.

I generated a lot of traffic with my video posts in the past, and want to continue them. I don’t know PHP at all, but I need this problem fixed pretty badly. I just dropped over $100 for a new site design, and want to add some substance to the fluff!

OK here is the issue. I am trying to get my audioblog.com account to talk to my wordpress www.acousticfuel.com/blog1. I was able to publish to the blog but I do not see the the player all I see is the title. Am I missing a plug in or is this a audioblog issue?

functions-post.php fix question for Ryan or other Guru

I’ve got two installs of 2.0 I’m going to be doing and I’m trying to get ducks in a row BEFORE installing. Both these installations will need working permalinks so I snagged the functions-post.php and classes.php updates from this post:

Both these installations are also going to require the use of third party editor uploads (audioblog or similar) so I tried to, on this fixed functions-post.php file, do the changes that are talked about on the trac here:

The first fix, 3376, was already fixed in the permalink patched version, but the other two (3377 and 3378) there aren’t matching sections to fix, or at least not near enough for me with my limited php experience to recognize as such. I have completed the xmlrpc.php fix. Could Ryan or someone give me good instructions on how to do the fix to functions-post.php? Or, perhaps, post an already fixed file that will work in both situations?

Enclosure tag not created (using audioblog.com)

I’ve seen some discusson on enclosures not being created but haven’t seen much in the way of resolutions.

Any clues as to why a posts generated using audioblog.com (which do include a standard HREF link to an mp3 file) would not generate the enclosure tag?

The HREF link to the mp3 does include rel=”enclosure” but that doesn’t seem to get my RSS reader (Newsfire) acknowledge the enclosure.

Am I overlooking something obvious?
