Hi,

I (Harry) am the site admin. I have added my girlfriend to the site and she writes articles, but her profile picture has mysteriously vanished (it was appearing) and I can’t work out why.

You can see it on the posts at the bottom of the homepage – it shows an A or an on symbol instead of her picture

A Couple of Minor Problems

Hi there!

I have a couple of minor problems I would very much appreciate some help with.

First off, my web site is https://www.gamesplurge.com

The image slider at the top of the homepage sort of drops down and changes position for a split second during the fade to the next image and I think this is more than likely very irritation to readers, is there some way I can fix this>

Also, on each post I would like to clean up the way everything is listed around the author picture to where the name, date and category are all in line with the image instead of having a break after the author name.

Hey – I’m new to wordpress, naturally, and have searched high & low for a way to display a “current author” on an authors’ archive page.

I understand how to get an author name displayed within the loop, but cannot find anything for displaying an author name outside of the loop (author name at top of page). There’s got to be a simple way that I’m merely overlooking.

The closest I can come is by using the get-author-profile plugin: https://guff.szub.net/2005/01/31/get-author-profile/

But it seems as though this should be doable without a plugin. Thanks.
