Plugin author not updating

Hi WordPress team, I recently developed a plugin and would like to transfer it to another user. I have changed the author on the main plugin PHP file, and added the other author as a committer on the plugin, but the plugin page is still showing me as the author.

Am I missing out anything?

Author Images not Showing

The images are showing in our gravatar directoy and I’ve tried uploading multiple sizes. However, the image does not show up. It just appears blank/white. We have the latest pro version installed. We’ve tried deactivated several other plugins but cannot find a resolution on why the image isn’t showing.

Authorship not talking to Yoast properly

Not sure when this started – I think it’s been quite recent – When I look at any author pages on my site I get the following error:

Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in /homepages/39/d684180684/htdocs/clickandbuilds/WorldGeeklyNews/wp-content/plugins/molongui-authorship/includes/compat/plugins/yoast.php on line 26

Disabling Yoast is the only thing to fix it, but I need that for the SEO optimisation. I could remove Authorship and delete the settings, but then I’ll lose two years of multi-author bylines.

Any ideas?

Molongui Author Box solves the most vexing issues about giving credit where credit is due to the authors of particular posts:

Must every author be a registered user, with all the privileges and responsibilities (password, etc.) this entails?
Can’t two or more people write a post? If so, why should only one author get credit?

This extension solves both problems. The answers to the questions are no, yes, and of course more than one author can get credit. The secret, of course, is that an editor/administrator can add recognized “guest authors” in advance. (It takes an admin to add a registered user unless the administration has opened the blog for self-registration.) Once that’s done, any editor can add authors, from a blended list of users and guests, as easily as scroll, point, and click.

The author box solves another issue: how to recognize an author’s achievements. Without this extension, an author or editor must repeat biographical information in every article, and live with the inconsistency when that information changes. Not so with Molongui Author Box, which allows you to show biographical information, that changes as the author’s life changes. One can even include some crude hyperlinks–use the anchor (“a”) tag with the href parameter. (Sadly, it won’t recognize any other parameter like “target” or “rel”.)

All things considered, this is an excellent tool for editors and administrators to manage authorship without having to hand out user registrations far and wide.

Multiple authors not working properly

When selecting multiple authors for an article, any authors after the first author are being lumped together into one link, which leads to the second author’s profile only.

The author box also reads as “#molongui-multiauthor-link%7c%7c%7chttp%7c%7c//roar news.co.uk/author/author1%7c%7c%7chttp%7c%7c//roar news.co.uk/author/author2%7c%7c%7chttp%7c%7c//roar news.co.uk/author/author3

This link only leads to author 1’s page, however.

The listed author names also all have an “and” affixed to them, i.e. “Author 1 and Author 2 and Author 3”

Bro – thank you so much fahim for making this plugin, it does what it says it’ll do. Great! As a convenience, it would be cool to add the option to change the author in the page itself as opposed to editing in the “quick settings” only, but that’s me being spoiled. I greatly appreciate you creating this plugin!

Support for custom user types

Hello, great plugin. Can you implement support for custom user types?

I have a shop with custom user type, and I want to change WooCommerce products authorship to that user, but when I try to edit products, that user is not showing on the Author list.

Hard to believe this has been around for 5 years and I’d never heard of it. Great job and I’d highly recommend it. Hugely flexible options for pages and posts – premium looks good too for a LOT of features.

Integration with Molongui Authorship plugin

I’m using the Molongui Authorship plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/molongui-authorship/) for guest authors, but Schema is setting the author as my WordPress admin user (the user that added the post) as the author.

Would it be possible to have it use the correct guest author data instead?
