Locked out of my blog account because Wordfence 2FA stopped working

I have recently lose the mobile phone from which I used to authenticate access to my WordPress blog. 2FA was set up through WordFence plugin. Now I am locked out of my blog account because Authy, the app I used to authenticate, requires backup password after I installed it on the new phone. I do not have a backup password and do not even remember setting it up. How can I access my blog account (actually 2, and both have the same issue)?

Where I can find some instruction for Authy setup ? I really like your plugin and and very like general functionality. I’m looking for additional protection of the authorization form, but can’t find the way to setup it. Thank you before a hand for your help.

I setup 2FA using the Authy app on iphone.
I logout, go back to the login page. open up Authy to generate a login code and I get this error message:

“ERROR: Invalid Authentication Code.”

I think “strange, maybe this app is not working properly”? I setup a new code with Authenticator app: same issue.

Is 2FA still working with Wordfence? I didn’t have this problem in the past!

Outdated logo showing when scanning QR code?

When i scan the QR code it shows an outdated logo instead of the latest one. I am trying to pinpoint where it is pulling that information from?

I tried adding to the 2FA Code after the password and it did not work either.

These are the Errors after Login Attempt.

2FA not working with google authenticator

I can activate google authenticator in “Two-Factor Authentication” page for one account. It also pops up “2FA cpde” page after filled in correct account name and password in login page. However, after filled in correct code generated by google authenticator, nothing happened. It will send request to admin-ajax.php and get correct token, but it seems the backend verification didn’t process.

I have tried Authy and Google Authentication apps, but when it scans the code and gives me the number (which it correctly associates with my site) I enter the number and activate and the Authentication App NEVEr get’s the confirmation. instead it keeps generating new numbers no matter how quickly I enter and send. From wordfences end it goes “ok, it’s activated” and from Authy or Google’s end it goes, ok, here’s your new code… 3 seconds.. ok, here’s your new code… 30 seconds… here’s your new code………………………………….

Hi all,

I’ve always had no problem logging in to my WordPress with two-step authenticator, but today it has begun to show the error even when I have entered the correct codes.

“ERROR: The Google Authenticator code is incorrect or has expired”

I’ve down a bit of browsing around, it seems like it’s something to do with the time syncing? Unfortunately, I’m too noob to understand how to log on to my “web server” and the likes… would really appreciate some help! (V. desperate here!)

xmlrpc support for Open Live Writer, etc.?

Hi,

Does Authy for WP support xmlrpc? In other words, what happens if you try to publish using Open Live Writer? Does it let it through, i.e. it doesn’t support Authy and everything works, or it makes all xmlrpc queries fail? If the latter, is there a way to make them work somehow?
