Available Themes Not Showing Up

Hello,

For some reason, on my blog when I go to “Appearance” and then “Themes,” under “Available Themes” it says:

“You only have one theme installed right now. Live a little! You can choose from over 1,000 free themes in the www.ads-software.com Theme Directory at any time: just click on the Install Themes tab above.”

I’m currently using Twenty-Twelve, but was trying to change it until this happened. Does anyone have any idea what to do to fix this?? I don’t know if it helps, but my blog is Tokenwhiteballer.com

Theme mysteriously disappeared in "available themes"

I’ve been learning my way around wordpress by building my own child-theme of Thematic. Everything had been working for a while… I went to change the template used by some of the pages (which I had success with in the past), but suddenly only “default template” was showing in the dropdown.

I figured out that this was because it had somehow reverted to the TwentyEleven theme, but worse than that: my own custom child-theme was no longer listed under “available themes.” (I made absolutely no alterations to the file structure or the comments section of style.css; it is exactly the same as it was when everything was working fine.)

The SUPER strange part is that my site was still displaying as if my child-theme was active!! Seriously, WHY THE FACE?! o_0 (This also makes it impossible to know when the problem occurred.)

Unfortunately, I tried switching to Thematic, and seeing if that made my child-theme reappear as an option, which didn’t work, so now my site looks like Thematic, and I can no longer continue working on other aspects of my custom style.css until this problem is resolved.

I tried creating a brand new child-theme, the same way I did it the first time (which had worked), and it also did not show up.

I cannot provide a link to my site because I’m building it locally, using MAMP.

theme folder on server, not showing in Available Themes

I have been able to create and upload new themes many, many times, but suddenly today, I upload one and it doesn’t show up in my Available Themes.

In an effort to isolate the problem, I deleted a different theme folder from my server, and that one doesn’t disappear from my Available Themes.

There seems to be a lack of synchronization between what’s actually on my server and what’s getting pulled in by WordPress.

I have tried it in Firefox and IE. I’ve tried clearing my cache and cookies… need to go live on Thursday with the new theme – please help :/

Available Themes: Can no longer delete themes…?

Hi,

This is a tad strange… From the WP>Theme menu, I cannot delete the themes I do not want to keep. The deletion process seems to be running properly except that when the page reloads, the theme is still present, despite the message in the top yellow area stating that it’s been deleted successfully… I am logged in as the Administrator and I’m able to perform all other tasks across the WP Admin app…

If I tried to delete the folders from my FTP app; likewise, I am not allowed to delete those theme folders. Theme folders permission is 755, and even that I am not allowed to change… and I am still the administrator…

Weird… Any ideas?

New Theme not regcognized in WP-admin

I up loaded a new Theme into WordPress/WP-content but it doesn’t come up as a Available Theme in /wordpress/wp-admin/themes.php . What could be the problem?

I have followed the directions for uploading and extracting the Fusion theme in the cpanel. It does not show up under my Available Themes section. I tried the 2.5 and 2.7 versions. I need some assistance.
