Hi – I haven’t been able to use the linking feature since I installed the image editor Aviary – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/aviary-editor/ . By chance has anyone found a work around for a similar challenge as this is an awesome app and Im super keen to keep using it.

My problem is when I open the Editor in Media Library, I don’t know why, but is opening the thumbnail and not the fullsize image.

Why does Aviary reduce image dimensions when I crop to 16:9 aspect ratio?

When I use Aviary to crop images to a 16:9 aspect ratio (and not resize them), Aviary seems to be resizing all of them to 800×450. Why isn’t it keep the original image width if I’m only cropping the height?

The same thing is happening on multiple sites that I’m using Aviary.

Please help me fix this.

There are several plugins that use the Aviary API yours, one sold by Green tree labs on Code Canyon. I love the program but in the new wp version you click edit, the picture loads but the circle spins around and around meaning it is not loading right to edit. Hope you can fix this.

Adding Text a no go

I know this is a call to an API but have you looked at the add text feature? Basically it does not work and there are numerous problems:

The text box resize feature is actually a zoom, you can only fit a few words in their regardless of it’s size and you can’t change it’s shape.
You cannot select the size of font to use, or other basic font features such as italics.
The Enter Text Here text does not want to go.
When you deselect the text box, the text disappears.

This was the first function I tried to play with, so disappointed it does not work.

No Supported File when uploading a PNG

Hi there – great plugin and hopefully I’ll be able to use it if I can get this bug ironed out.

Whenever I upload a .png the editor says “no supported file” and won’t upload it. Jpegs, no problem but always this with pngs.

Any idea what I need to do to fix it?

Aviary closes before I can use it

I see the Aviary framework briefly and then it shuts down. It does this in numerous browsers.
It gives this javascript console error message:
