Hello, I’m need of assistance with my Background Image. My image appears (www.dirikijordan.com) however it is so large that my background looks as if I only have a color. I’ve attempted several combinations of adjusting the padding on Page Hero, to no avail. Please advise on how I would change the image so that it shows as featured in this link. https://www.dirikijordan.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/DJ-BACKGROUND-IMAGE-NO-TEXT.jpg

How to adopt background image size to all devices

Hi, my website is
main issue that I have is background image size. On different devices it crops tha image and doesnt show full size.
I have tried:
html body.login
{
background-size: 100% 100% !important;
}
but it only stretches the image and it’s still not full size of device. On PC it works normaly, but on mobile devices this issue is seen.

Main background image when using boxed theme

Hi can you please tell me the best size image to use for the main background of the page when using boxed style site? (not header)
No matter what image size i use it only presents the top part of the image and i would like the entire image to be seen (from top to bottom, but obviously only the sides).

I have a little trouble finding the best size for a background image.
The recommended size for a header image is 1920 × 850px.
What is the recommended size for an fixed (not scrolling) and non-repeating background image?

Custom Background defaults to thumbnail

I discovered something and perhaps it’s a bug?
If you leave the media settings (image sizes) in place, normally the first one is 150×150 in size, and then you go to upload a custom background image, a problem shows up.

After uploading a large image such as 1600×800, the background preview pane defaults to the 150×150 thumbnail image. However, once you save that and view the front of your site, you get the full image but the preview in the dashboard still shows the 150×150 thumbnail.

Not a major issue, but kind of annoying I would think for some people who will think their image is going to tile on the front-end.

child theme absolutely neccessary?

I am quite new to WordPress and currently modifying a Motion theme, have made modifications to it – and not realised that making a child theme may be the way to go before modifying it.. Am I correct in understanding that I need to make a child theme to avoid losing the changes I’ve made when the theme is updates?

I’ve tried making a child theme copying the changes I’ve already made into the child style.css sheet. Some of the features from the Motion theme are not coming over as it were from the parent theme – and being such a novice it’s going to take me days to work out why!!!!

I am also trying to add a new background image and it is not big enough – can anyone advise how to enlarge background image please?
