Hi all weird thing I have noticed

when i download the backup file the backup speed sits at around 10mb a second until it gets the 2 thirds of the full backup size then it seems to finish very fast. when i check the size of the completed file its correct.

is that normal
I would like to test that these files are okay how would I test the restore. should I use that file on my staging site to see if it works?

Backup not downloading

Hello! My site has been hacked and I wanted to restore it from a backup i created on february the 3rd, but everytime I hit the “download backup” button, a window pops up saying “the download will begin shortly” and it disappears after a couple of seconds. I’ve tried multiple browsers and nothing happens. The backup size should be just under 1 GB, but if I navigate to the floder via the hosting file manager I only see 5kb files in the backup folder. Can you please help? Thanks!

Cannot download backup files

This is happening on more than one of my sites. Backups are performing fine, but when select a backup file and click Download, I get a blank page and the error message:

This site can’t be reached
The webpage at https://www.newforestwalker.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-dbmanager/database-manage.php might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE

The files are definitely there in the plugin folder, can you tell me what might be going on?

Hi,
After Export to FILE, It’s copying all the file and showing the size of 52MB, but when I am downloading, It stoped at 12 MB, some time 21 MB, not downloading full size file. I have increased the excution time in .htaccess, but not working.

Can anybody help me?

Cannot access admin

I was backing up my site as a preparation for updating my plugins. A whole bunch seemed to be updated in a matter of days–so there are about 14 at once. I did nothing at my site! All I did was go to my cpanel and download a backup and a db backup.
Now I can get to the blog itself, but there are two lines of code at the top referencing the simple twitter plugin. But I can’t get to my dashboard.

Do I need to disable the the simple twitter plugin via cpanel–and if so, how? I do;t know that simple twitter is the only issue, there are additional messages when I try to access the dashboard about not being able to modify header information.

And why is it doing this–it just seems a strange coincidence that it did this immediately following my downloading backups, but how could that have done something?
