Hi,
Where is backup located? In DB or WP Admin?
I tried to make backup, but the process was endless so I removed plugin … now I see that my DB has increased so I’m wondering if it’s because somewhere backup was stored

I try to get a better understanding of how this backup works. So, set up my first backup in gdrive.
I deleted all WordPress folder in my live website.
To make things even more worse, I also deleted my backup in gdrive.
Then I try to restore using “site is down” method and the magic happen!!. I manage to get back my website. So my questions:

1. Where is exactly my backup are stored? I completely delete gdrive backup & delete live website and yet I still manage to get back my website works(which is really damm good!!). Do you guys store my backup in your server? Do you mind to explain?
2. how can I delete restore point?
3. how can I re-create a new first backup

We’re desperate for help please… we had some issues on our site and I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall UpdraftPlus. I had made a backup just before making any changes, however, when I went back in and tried to restore the last backup, I saw that the last backup was from February! Someone changed the Google account that was being used for backups and we can’t figure out which account has the latest backups. I had a look at the logs and see a Google Client ID, but no indication of which Google account it was. Does anyone know how to find out which Google account has the backups? I’ll be so grateful to anyone who is able to help!

Is storing local backup to /wp-content/ directory safe? Does UpdraftPlus do something to guarantee that your backup won’t get downloaded by a malicious user?

Hi, I’m so sorry to be asking a silly question… I haven’t specified somewhere else to send my backup, so where do I find it? I had a look in my cpanel folders and couldn’t find it at first look, so thought I should ask. Thanks.

I’ve set my backup location to an area outside my www tree as recommended.
Settings saved.

When I run the backup, it’s still created in the default location, with no warning/error message.

Am I missing something?

I have just downloaded and used Updraftplus backup and restoration for the first time. I did a backup but to local storage, ie I did not sent to a remote cloud storage site. I can not find the backup on my server, where is it located?

So I installed your plugin and after I go through all the settings, I don’t see the location of the saved backups. The only option I see is for an email to be sent with the backup attached but my files are to large.

Please help me understand this with a SIMPLE explanation.
