Hello, I hope you are well. My question is clear: I want to ban all bots, not only bad bot
]]>I have been trying to tackle the Bad Bots issue and found out about Black Hole plugin. However, I wanted to doubly assure myself if the plugin is compatible with Open Litespeed Webserver with Litespeed Cache.
Request if you could clarify on the same and let us know if we should go ahead and implement the Black Hole plugin
Thank You
]]>Many thanks & greetings
]]>After disabling this plugin, ads starting showing up in all pages. I love this plugin and i would recommend the issue to be fixed. It’ll be advantage to me blocking recommended bad bot and using adsense too.
]]>Thank you for the plugin.
]]>– Instead of sending hundreds of annoying email notifications daily, it will be much better to add the “Detected Bot” list / reports directly in the plugin dashboard with all the necessary details: Name, Date, User Agent, Robot IP Address, String Found, Bot URL, etc..
but without using much server resources of course.. this will be very convenient for this awesome plugin..
– and another option / button to “Clear Log” will be very handy, without the need to uninstall and re-install the plugin to reset statistics..
Thanks again.
]]>We have a client who appears to have an unusually high level of “direct visits” reported within Google Analytics. This started back in July. These visits, which I suspect are spam bots, are drastically skewing our Analytics data with 95%+ bounces rates and very little time on site. I suspect this is also having a negative impact on our organic search ranking because we were ranking much better before all of this started. I have a sneaking suspicion that one of our competitors is behind this.
We’re currently using iThemes Security but this does not seem to have an impact on this bogus traffic. We also have Sucuri virus monitoring and removal service enabled.
The website is hosted on GoDaddy as a Managed WordPress account. I spoke with GoDaddy earlier and the said they don’t have any products that would help.
How about something like the CloudFlare Firewall/Proxy? We can sign-up for this via Sucuri too, but I’m not sure if it plays with with the Managed WP Hosting.
Anyway, if somebody could help me get to the bottom of this issue I’d sure appreciate it.
Thanks for your help.
Eric
