Base directory creates a wrong path!

The base directory (in which i can’t change the first step of the path) is wrong!

Currently: D:\inetpub\Intranet\wp-content\uploads\projects
It should be: D:\inetpubIntranet\wp-content\uploads\projects

Or the other way around but in that case the path in the management.php has to be changed.

Search for files across Directory Base

Hello,
I need to search for files across Directory Base. Currently, the search only happens to the files that are listed on the screen.

Is there any shortcode for this function? This is a possible feature in this plugin?

Below is the shortcode that I am using.

Shortcode not producing files on page

I have a feeling I am missing or misunderstanding something very fundamental about how File Away works…

In the back end of my server, I did the following:

1. created the base directory:
public_html/harvest

2. created a subdirectory:
public_html/harvest/reports

3. uploaded some .pdf files to the reports subdirectory.

Then I created a new page on my website and added the File Away shortcode from the two dropdown boxes: Directory Files > Sorted List

[fileaway sub=”reports”]

But nothing shows up at all when I check the page — not a list of files, not even any of the page navigation that should be there. It’s just a blank page, frozen.

I also tried this:

[fileaway sub=”reports” directories=”on”]

Same thing happened.

Tried the Basic Configuration setting both ways — Site Root Directory and WP Install Directory. Doesn’t seem to make a difference.

I use the AVADA theme.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!

Making changes to base directories

I am trying to create redirects to a couple of pages on my site, but I have created base directories have the same url as the redirect I’m wanting to set up. For example, lets say I was trying to set up a redirect of website.com/program, but one of my base directories is “program”, my redirect won’t work. Is it possible to change the base directories? If so, what is the process? I know just renaming the base directory doesn’t fix the problem, it just creates a new base directory but the old one is still there.

I know the simplest solution would be just to choose a different redirect url, but for marketing reasons we’d really like to use the ones that are conflicting.

How to Set Up the Upload Folder

There seems to be a number of places to set up the uploads folder so I’m not sure how to configure it.

WordPress File Upload Control Panel > Base Directory
File Browser > Create-Folder
Shortcode Composer > Basic Functionalities > Upload Path
Shortcode Composer > Upload Path and Files > Create Upload Path

Base directory default path cannot be changed

Hi,

Thanks for this plugin which seems to offer what I’m looking for, except that I have a slight problem.

I find the Base directory paths somewhat confusing because I cannot remove the default path that is displayed there, which in my case shows up as www/users/matzit/, the last part presumably derived from my site URL which is www.matzitek.com. I added testfiles after matzit/ and created the matzit and testfiles directories under the root directory (same as WP install directory) where I thought they should go.

Then I created a Test Page with the shortcode [fileaway debug="on"] but this shows me that the shortcode is pointing to usr/www/users/matzit/testfiles.

Now this is even more confusing because being a Linux user I recognize that path as a possible path on my computer, but on the server where my site is hosted there is no such path.

Where am I going wrong?

Need help finding basic directory

I’m trying to verify with e-bay partners that my site is really mine, they asked me to: Upload the file to the base directory of each of your domains that you would like to register. Where do I find the base directory? I’m very lost and still new to this.
