If I resize the original images to lower than 2560px what happens to the -scaled images will they automatically be removed or do I have to resize these images as well?
Thanks
]]>I hope anybody can point me in the right direction. I want to stop the creation of the ‘-scaled’ images and use the correct image link (without the ‘-scaled’) on my site. I used this plugin to disable the creation of the “-scaled” images https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-big-image-threshold/ but it obviously only works with newly upload images.
How can I fix previously uploaded images and image links in my site? I manually deleted all images with “-scaled” in the name and I then tried using thumbnail regeneration plugins to regenerate all images but it gives me errors that they can’t regenerate the images because the “-scaled” images could not be found.
Any help will be much appreciated.
]]>While I get it that large images shouldn’t USUALLY be used, there are certain times that they are like in my own client website portfolio.
Imagine my shock when I uploaded a 1280×7486 image of a front page of a website to find it got resized down to 2560 long! Ugg had to search it out and found out that this was added to core and I didn’t know AND I’m a WordCamp organizer involved in the community. There really should have been a UI tip as to what happened!
BTW when I search the plugins within the site for “disable big image resizing” yours didn’t come up. I only found it after seeing it in a comment on https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2019/10/09/introducing-handling-of-big-images-in-wordpress-5-3/.
]]>There’s a problem: it auto append “-scaled” at trail of file name, eg: my-image-scaled.jpg
I still want to use this function but I don’t want to append “-scaled” at trail, lost more bytes and longer file name. Will WordPress has a solution now?
]]>The pastor wants the thumbnail images, but not the oversized image that is actually the blown-out thumbnail.
Any help would be definitely appreciated since this project has been dumped into my lap and I know nothing about working on the backend of WordPress.
Here is a sample page:

However there is no problem with the code per se. The reason is the big image in the background. I have to scroll in order to read or see the content. So the user cannot see that the click worked.
Years ago Nielsen and other usability gurus established that the users won’t scroll. Therefore I asume that we have a usability issue here.

]]>It has actually made it the correct size on the iphone 4s screen but the image is no longer displayed, just a grey background with the title in it and then the image down the page, under the contact form the image is sort of distorted like it is being dragged…
I have tried smaller (and larger) versions of the image but still the same result.

Please could you advise. Many thanks

]]>Perhaps you guys can help me. I have the Canvas 5.5.7 version and the Product’s detail page is displaying a huge image.
I have already set Woocommerce->Configurations->Products images sizes… but it doesn’t matter. It will always show a big image.
I am using a full width layout at each Product.
I have already searched through google and forum pages… some people would say to change a few lines at woocommerce.css … change 48% to Auto in some cases…. nothing really worked for me.
Always regenerating the images…
Could you please help me?
Thank you.
Best Regards,
