Hi,

I am having issues accessing the editor on my front page after adding a template spacer.

After I added the spacer, the front page appears blank when hitting the edit button.

I have tried changing templates, disabling extentions, adding extentions for optimalization, refreshing the page multiple times, Safari and Chrome, and I’ve tried to update my Mac. Nothing seems to be working and I can’t seem to find any similar issues online.

Help is much appreciated

5.1 Update breaks the Editor

Hi! When I updated my site to WP 5.1, the back-end editor broke:

– On the Visual tab, it appears to be blank, but is actual white HTML on a white background. There is no visual preview.

– On the Text tab… well, I am unable to switch to it. Clicking it doesn’t do anything.

Here’s my site under WP 5.1 (I’ve highlighted some text in the editor):

I disabled all plugins and still had the same issue. And yes, they’re all up to date as well. I made a duplicate of the site and the only difference was the 5.1 update.

Page Editor Broken – Already Tried Everything Found on Forums

I’ve had this issue with a site for about a year now, and I’ve been trying to fix it off and on.
When I open a page to make content changes the editor is blank, and I can’t switch between the Visual or the Text editors. They’re both completely blank, and I can’t see anything there.

I CAN make changes if I switch to view Text editor only, in my user profile settings. However that’s not enough. I need to be able to let the client take care of updating content on their own.

I’ve already tried deactivating all of the plugins, as well as tried changing to a different template, I’ve replace all of the admin files, as well as the wp-includes with fresh from the source versions.

So far these are the only things that I have found on any forums/help sites at all. And I’m looking for some more ideas.

Please help!

White editor text & no editor icons

Greetings –
I’ve tried editing some of the pages at www.site-solutions.com, but found the text in the editor is all in white, and all the editor icons are missing. I tried the suggestions listed at https://learn.wpeditpro.com/troubleshoot-blank-wordpress-editor/ without luck.
I de-activated all the plugins (& renamed wp-content folders to plugins-old and to mu-plugins-old), switched to Twenty Seventeen, re-installed WordPress 4.9.6, and manually cleared the browser cache – but the problem remained.
While the plugins were de-activated and Twenty Seventeen was active, I also tried adding define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false); just after define('DB_HOST', 'localhost'); in wp-config.php, but the entire screen went white. No backend controls of any kind were visible. Once I removed that line of code, the backend re-appeared – but once again the editor only showed white text, and no editor icons were visible.
This account is on a shared server, and has several add on domains in the same account. The other domains’ editors work normally.
I’d really appreciate any hints as to how to hunt down the gremlin in the works!

Can’t see text in editor

For this page and all others I suddenly can’t see the text in the editor whether in visual or text mode. It’s there but I can’t see it, which makes changes quite difficult!
All I see is white space.

Everything is up to date and this does not happen on my other WP sites with the same host.

Any ideas what’s causing this?

Text editor widget edit screen is blank

Whenever I click on a text editor widget the box on the left goes blank so I can’t access any of the edit functions. The edit section works for all other widgets such as headings, pics etc.

I didn’t install any new features before hand or change any major features. So far I have tried the following:
Ticket suggestion 1 through 6 including purging cache + debugging
Iv’e deactivated all plugins, and changed to default theme
I tried reverting to an older version of elementor
Ive tried loading on Safari, firefox and a different PC

Can’t see text in content editor (visual or text)

Can’t see text in the editing block (unless I highlight it), no toolbar. I notice there were changes to TinyMCE with the 4.8 update, but I’m not sure what to do to work with that.

Just updated WP to the latest, deactivated all plugins, changed to 2016 theme, tried two different browsers (Safari & Firefox), and script debug did not fix the problem.

Safari browser error console says “Can’t find variable: tinymce. Global Code post.php:1943”

Firefox browser error says “Reference error: tinymce is not defined. post.php:1943:1

Edit windows are blank in wp-admin

After migration, the site seems to be working fine. However, when trying to edit the exiting pages, the editor field is totally blank in both visual and text views.

Some of the pages are as described above (completely blank editor fields). Other pages show the text only from the page but none of the other components if widgets (or I think short codes too) were used. …but the site itself looks fine. It seems like if anything besides just text was added, nothing shows at all in the edit window.

Do you have any ideas?

Problems after Upgrading to WordPress 4.5 – Ultimate CMS

Hi,
After upgrading to WordPress 4.5, WYSIWYG editor no longer displays content and link buttons do not work in the WYSIWYG editor. HTML editor still works. I have de-activated all my plugins and re-activated 1 by 1 and found that Ultimate CMS is the culprit for this problem. Please help! My site relies on the custom taxonomy as an organizational strategy.
