Now I changed the hosting from Namesilo to SiteGround, the blank line appeared again after I migrated to new hosting. This problem can’t be solved now even though I downgraded the WordPress version from 6.3 to 6.1.3. The blank line is always there, how can I solve it? Thanks very much!
When indent an item in a bulleted list, a blank line gets inserted before the level 2.
For example – (i’ll just use a dash to represent the bullet – i’m not using the ul tag in this post)
I enter …
– level one
– level two
– level one
And when I save, I have …
– level one
– level two
– level one
How do I fix this?
NOTE – I’m also using ckeditor version 4.0.
sandbox.domain.edu/?ical=1
my events.ical file that gets generated has a blank line at the top.
(I have the issue on both boxes)
The prevents me from loading the calendar into google.
when I browse to your demo calendar, using the url in the ics documentation, it does not have the line, and I can load your calendar into google using your posted directions.
I have looked into the php a bit, the extra line seems to “happen” in em-ical.php after the header lines in the php code but before the call to ical.php. I’ve confirmed this be commenting out the call to ical.php and by inserting a simple echo statement, and in both cases, there’s a blank line above my data.
When I create a simple php document to deliver a text file as an attachment, there are no extra lines at the top.
I’m stumped.
Can you help?
I’m not sure if this is an events manager issue or a wordpress issue. I don’t think it’s a php or linux issue, but I could be wrong.
Thanks for anything anyone can offer!

so I removed every blank line or weird return I could find, but no dice.
PHP auto_append_file is not set to anything, so that is not it.
Any ideas?

The main content (default language) works like a charm, but any translated content gets unwanted blank line on top of the content and loses line breaks, making them show as new paragraphs.
The content keeps it’s formatting after the first save / update, but when I edit the page again, there’s this blank line and extra paragraphs.
Debug mode doesn’t show any errors.

Heading 1

The first paragraph,
second line.
Another paragraph.
EDIT. mqTranslate 2.6.6.3 doesn’t seem to have this issue. It works as it should with WordPress 4.0.1.

I have checked for answers to this in the FAQ and support forum, but I can’t seem to find an answer. My contact form has the following fields:
Name
Email
Subject
Message
Captcha
Submit
All fields are required. In the message body dialog box I have:
[your-message]
This email was sent from the contact us form at https://www.bakefestgalway.com/contact-us/
In the email that I get from the form, there is a blank line first in the message body and this is bugging me.
There is no space before the [your-message] and I have the exclude lines with blank mail-tags from output tick box checked, even though all fields are required. If I tick the use HTML content type checkbox, the issue goes away, but the email text formatting looks very basic this way and hyperlinks don’t work then.
Can anyone help me to resolve this?
Thanks,
Conor

to the TEXT editing page, when I preview the post there is no blank line between the 2 images.
When I try to use a “hard return” in the Visual editor, the cursor just moves down the left side of the images and does not put a blank line between the 2 images.
Can someone tell me how to put a blank line between my 2 images in my blog post?
Thanks!
Now when I add or edit a post, under the line WordPress SEO by Yoast there is just a blank line.
Everything else seem normal a green button SEO Good etc.
Under screen options, WordPress SEO by Yoast is checked.
I have disabled and re-enabled the plugin.
Any help would be much appreciated.

On the home page, I’ve used the “Events List” widget in the first (left-most) column above the footer to display a few of the most recent events (a couple of placeholders at present.)
How do I configure/style/program the widget to show the venue in addition to event (post) title (red) and date/time (gray) on a line below the date and time?
Also, how do I get rid of the blank line at the top, and the square (ul?) bullet to the left of each event excerpt?
Thanks in advance!
