Hi,

Currently my blog lives is blog.derekchristiephotography.com but my website is www.derekchristiephotography.com They are two different things of course but what are the implications of having these two different address for SEO.

Most photographer blogs I see are subdomains like /blog. Is it better for me to do this?

So I guess my question i: How to I move my blog address from blog.xxx.com to www.xxxx.com/blog?

I’m using a static page for my front page (Home) and

My posts page is set to (Blog).

So the index is: https://bonnieharris.com

and the blog address is: https://bonnieharris.com/blog/

My client would like me to change the address of the blog to:

https://bonnieharris.com/parenting-blog/

The permalinks settings are “Post name”.

Any help with how I might do that?

I chose to have my interface in English. However, When I click for example in ‘about us’ in my blog, I see in the address (browser) for example xxxx.wordpress.com/sobre (about us in Portuguese)

I am confused. I paid extra to get a “.com” address instead of having a “wordpress.com” address. Yet when I go to my “blog” section the address remains——–@wordpress.com”
I Google search the address or domain I bought the ———.com and it takes me to my blog.

Why is the address not showing up at wordpress under my blogs? Who do I contact to renew the address when it expires?

Dear WordPress Community

I wanted to change the URL address for my blog, but it turns out the intended new URL is already in use.
However, upon typing in this URL, I found out that it had been deleted by its authors!

How come I can’t reuse their site address? Or is it possible to make it reuseable?

Error Page When Typing In Domain .Com I Purchased

I purchased my domain and hosting from GoDaddy. I have a blog that I used WordPress (and CPanel?) to create. Now that I am ready for viewers, I have noticed that I cannot access my blog by typing in the web address with just the .com . I receive an error page when I do. But, when I type the web address with .com/blog/ the page loads. I do not want my viewers to have to remember this, along with my already slightly long web address.

I tried to go into my GoDaddy files (?) and forward over/transfer the web address over automatically to .com/blog/ but that still did not work. When I asked for help from GoDaddy, they said that method would not work on the same site address and I had to make the change within WordPress. They also said they are not allowed to help me. How do I get my simple .com address to work or forward it over to .com/blog/ for my viewers who simply type the .com part of the address?

My web address is: Www.FauxJewelsRealGems.Com

I thought I posted this already, but I cannot find it, so sorry if it’s posted twice.

The name “wordpress” shows up in my blog address. I don’t wish to have it there. That is one of the reasons why I choose to use www.ads-software.com instead of wordpress.com or blogger.com. I wanted to have my own blog name. Why is “wordpress” in my address and how do I get rid of it?

There is not much on it yet, but here is my blog address. https://visualverse.thecreationspeaks.com/wordpress/

I accidently changed by blog address-cant log into admin panel

I was in the admin panel in settings and accidentally changed my blog address to be https://enewsnetworks.net/blog and it was https://localhost/enewsnetworks/blog before and now I cant get into my admin panel. how can i change it back? I am new to this. I was working on a new blog in dreamweaver at the time.

Accidentally I edited both url’s (wordpress & blog adresses) to an unrecognisable format within the dashboard (Settings -> General).

from – https://thisismyblog.com

to – https://www.this.ismyblog.com

I then hit the save changes button without checking the pasted url. *I know, I know… Stupid*

Is there a possible chance i could edit this elsewhere to regain access to the dashboard?
